Brian said “You always look to them at this stage and you’re only as good as the experienced players at your club."

He is obviously referring to the likes of Hunt And Kebe then.

. God help us if we have to rely on those sort of players then!

Lets get Gray and Lorimer back on the pitch then?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not sticking up for anyone but NOT ONE player can hold his head up high after recent revelations even Ross wanting out in jan when we were pushing for promotion, maybe Ross, s want away attitude affected everyone at the club as well as the takeover ;(

"After witnessing his sides eighteenth defeat of the season on Tuesday night, Brian McDermott called suggestions he should resign from Leeds United as a joke."

How many defeats WILL it take then, Brian, before you realise your tactics and team selections have changed with every passing game, and no doubt will continue to do so?

You have now taken Kenny out of goal (is he really still injured?) Butland has conceded more goals per game than any Leeds goalkeeper I can remember?

You have left Poleon out of the team most of the season? Same as Mowett and Byram. These players are our future and are loyal to the club, along with many other youngsters coming through!

You have bought in Kebe - and now totally left him out of the team, ditto Stewart? Kebe has NEVER put in more than 10%, I would at least give Stewart the benefit of 20%. We are now saddled with Stewart unless someone can find a way of cancelling it, hopefully Kebe can get sent back from wherever under the 'unfit for purpose' clause?

You have put Peltier out on loan just as he was proving his worth - no wonder he bolted as soon as a tunnel was offered?

Hunt has been the biggest disappointment (and allegedly the highest paid one) all season, I reckon he's being paid around £60,000 PER HOUR for his actual match time taken his alleged £25k per week wages into consideration since he was recruited last July?

Any you yourself are allegedly on a 5 million pounds deal over two years?

Well if a couple of million squid for the last year of your services is anything to go by, I think we need to bring in the office of fair trading, and just ignore the FL and the farce they are currently all earning money on whilst we go through all this crap?

The only obvious law breaker here (allegedly) is Cellino, and he has (again allegedly) now put around £14 million into this team?

Walk away, Brian and forget your compensation, you must have the worst record of any Leeds United manager in history over the last few games? Played 7 lost 6? This is indeed the only joke, unfortunately it's outlasted April Fools day.

I really don't want to see your face or read your excuses any more. I will never condone the abuse you have received this week, but in real terms YOU ARE actually abusing the support of the Leeds United faithfull, and we will be around long after you and the deadwood in our team that you and Warnock bought in are gone.

I have personally supported Leeds for more than 40 years, across the UK and in Europe, and spent thousands of pounds doing so, gladly.

But enough is enough. The fact that the best win Leeds have had all season happened while you WERE NOT present says it all now?

I just hope Cellino finds the way to take over our club, as he appears to be as passionate about his football as most of us are, despite the FL not wanting him in charge for their own reasons. How many other people in the whole history of Leeds United have EVER put £14 million pounds of their own personal money into the club, and NOT even owned any part of the club?

David Haig - don't get me started.

Well said fella. Unfortunately Brian has over a million reasons to stay, won't get did until he paid off. The sooner the better for me.

Here Here Encore Encore

Agree0 Disagree0

And again
Hope cellino can figure out a cheap way of getting rid of him quickly
His team selection change every week. He is clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

On the bright side if BMc published a premium rate number for fans to call him he'd make a fortune!. Ooops, sorry, that's Survivors territory :)

whether you like mcdermott or not, to ring and abuse him is deplorable.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with you. Poor bloke doesn't deserve this . No one knows how difficult it has been behind the scenes, and all seem to enjoy taking pot shots at him . Get off his back . Could you imagine Warnock in this situation?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst I don't condone personal abuse like this at all, I can perhaps understand how desperate some fans may now be getting, after all they are paying his wages, and it is indeed the fans who are being abused here, as well?

McDermott is allegedly on around £50K a week here, more than twice what any individual player is alleged to be earning?

Most people won't earn that in TWO years, let alone PER WEEK?

No wonder people are pissed off about it?

Still no need for personal abuse though, do your ranting on here.

Terrible terrible thing to do to Brian and his family . He might of lost the plot but that's no excuse for that low life to go to them extents .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Always easy toblame the manager yes he picks the team but when we win its down to the players when we lose tbd manager gets it

there isn't many positives to take from this season, but I honestly have to say murphy is turning into a good midfielder. people say he's pants and not worth the money, but he's young and learning, he can pass, move and tackle, paired with a better midfielder next season he will shine.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That's the funniest post I've ever read on here!

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree with you mate! Murphy is a very talented and promising young midfielder who has come in for some unfair criticism.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree . Murphy has what it takes to become a class act don't judge him to early, give the lad time.

Agree0 Disagree0

But is he worth "allegedley" £23k?

God knows what he will command, when he is finally "quality"

DS

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant blame the lad for how much he gets paid. What would you of turned round and said No Thankyou?

I got a little worried with the recent number of people arrested in the match fixing probe as I thought the players have been throwing games away, but then I read only 7 had been arrested so it couldn't have been leeds.
Let's win this wkend boys. please

Poor old Brian's complaining about getting abuse now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - Yes and I don't blame him, it is wrong to be ringing him up in the middle of the night to be abusive. It amazes me how many immature fans are out there with no respect! All of the fans have suffered, but it doesn't give them the right to ring him up and be abusive. It wouldn't surprise me if its the so called Leeds fans that turn up to Elland road on a match day to start trouble in the pub, but not actually go to the game}

How low can a human being become.
Some person gets Brian's number and calls him up late at night.
The bloke should be hanged drawn and quartered and I don't mean Brian but he is rubbish isn't he.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Brian's days are numbered and as my blog states, his selections are terrible. Imagine if you was at home with your kids and someone rang up abusing you over football! Passion, Yes, but in the right manner}

I don't know other than it being at home it's very similar to a call centre, man Iv worked in one some people are brutal! But agree at home leave it if he's at work, a lot of people deal with massive abuse for not doing there job or other associates not doing there job properly. Then again most people are sacked and don't get compo for doing their job rubbish!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brian its probably them ppi guys or worst still bates.
or if he had a foreign accent

Well said Ed013, could`nt agree more with your comments about Mcd abuse!

I have tried to be loyal to BMD but my patience has run out. He can talk the talk but can't walk the walk. He's had it rough but so did SG and NW. The truth is the club is in a right mess and the players are either too scared or unable to put in a performance that we fans deserve.
My only wish now is that we are taken over by owners who understand football and care about the club whether this is Massimo or not.
Once again, we need a new manager with passion and ability and a wholesale clear-out of players who don't cut the mustard or don't care.
Let's hope the future is brighter MOT Ron.

One day they will make a film of this you couldn't make it up. As a bit of fun what actors will play the leading parts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ade Edmondson (Eddie Hitler from Bottom) would play Brian McDermott for sure.

GREAT idea.I reckon the following should be in it too.

Richard Attenborough as Master Bates
and
Owen Wilson as and Warnock

Excellent article on the scratching shed, "Cellino rescues Leeds from the clutches of evil". It seems win or lose the appeal he is teaming up with Together Leeds to wrest control from GFH whatever. Also mentions a rumour that Haigh has an administration strategy so he can then lead a consortium to buy Leeds on the cheap, it seems he will get into bed with his gran to get his own ends. He is now finished, excellent news

The manager is sacked and we have our biggest win of the season, bring him back and it's all down hill from there. The rot has set in!

It doesn't take a genius to realise he has lost the changing room big time.

Is he daft enough to think this his rhetoric doesn't effect morale, hence contributing to lousy results.

His whole demeanour and 'woe is me' approach does nothing but depress me and I only see it for a few minutes at a time, I'd hate being around such a mournful person all day.

I think it shows a poor lack of judgement and understanding of team management and leadership.

An example; the players must wonder what the hell is happening when he brings in a wet behind the ears player on £22k a week packages and those who's best days are behind them on £25k . If they where superstars, at the right level and making a difference and dragging us up the league to deserve the big, big money the team may accept it, but they aren't, they are carrying them!.

The result is, no results!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Doesn't help that on match days the opposition manager always seems to show more passion and enthusiasm than Brian McDermott. He says the right things but sometimes gives impression of just going through the motions. He needs to show more (not over the top) passion!

Agree0 Disagree0

BM says the season is unsalvageable. Does that mean he doesn't think they can finish higher than last season. With the number of games left BM should be aiming to finish higher than 13th and to win every game. Defeatist talk like that doesn't help!

Agree0 Disagree0

He just talks rubbish, I remember at the christmas party and press conferences around that time him and some players were saying playoffs was a minimum. Now he's saying 13th is acceptable

This whole situation smells of a vindictive plot by an old hasbeen, who has not got anything better to do. Like a disease, it has developed within, everyone involved have also been struck by the disease, Oh for the messiah to lift us from the deep depths. It has left me and from what I read with other fans too, the unfortunate feeling of.Forget this season, forget the players we have, non have any leadership qualities. Its not a team, its a group of players that seem to want to just get through 90 mins, so they can have another game sat.We have now become, DIRTY DAMNED and DESPERATE!!

HERES TO ALL OUR FANS--been through everything! STILL LEEDS TO MY LAST BREATH.

So it looks as though no matter what the result of the appeal, Leeds United will have new owners, and money to spend come July 1st. Leeds should also be seeing the back of several 'fringe' players in the summer, some out of contract (Pugh, Ashdown & Brown), and some already shipped out on loan (Peltier and Varney), these, along with others expected to depart (Hunt, Tonge et. ), leave a nice chunk of wages available for those incoming, (especially if Hunt's 25K wage is at all accurate).
Providing we can keep hold of key players, Byram, McCormack. and I'm sure there are a couple more, I think, and the correct players are added come August/September, 2015 may be a good year for the 'Mighty Whites'. But quite frankly, one consistent owner and less stress and I will be happy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think McCormack will be off in summer after the abuse

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2014 12:36:14
Be lucky to get rid of hunt and tonge!

Agree0 Disagree0

Are u willing to pay hunts contract off because if not we can't just get rid of players still contracted without having to pay them off wake up will u

Agree0 Disagree0

Wake up? I didn't say we would be releasing Hunt, I said hopefully he will be departing (as in someone dumb enough to buy AND pay his wages).

Look up the wc who heard the cellino appeal, name Tim Kerr wc, he is a big Chelsea fan, bye bye cellino.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't think that will make any difference to a judge with his experience. It's like saying a judge who is a Leeds fan will always find Man U fans guilty

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that's the point he's making. JD

Agree0 Disagree0

"Don't think that will make any difference to a judge with his experience. It's like saying a judge who is a Leeds fan will always find Man U fans guilty"

why do you think that QC was chosen then?

Pure coincidence, I suppose.

Fell asleep wish tv on last night, they were repeating the cellino interview every 15 mins, the one thing that stayed with me the whole call was either he is an awesome bullsh****r or he really does have the club as his main focus.

"The players know they are going to be paid because of the players they are. They are going to be paid. The big problem is what damage has been done to Leeds."

Either the guy has the best advisors in the world on what to say, or that statement on its own shows how commited MC is to the welfare of the club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think he is just very good at saying the right thing. Yes he has some passion and I feel he does genuinely want to help our club but I also feel there is a lot of bullpoo there too.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Think he is just very good at saying the right thing. Yes he has some passion and I feel he does genuinely want to help our club but I also feel there is a lot of bullpoo there too."

If this guy has already put £14 million of his own money into Leeds he can come out with all the bullpoo he can, some people probably took that amount of money OUT of Leeds.

So BDM has told the Yorkshire Post that the season is not salvagable!! I take it all back the man is a genious Clearly a master tactician and has the vision to see that we are crap! Rather than sack him MC should give him a 10 year extension to him contract and up him money.
My cat could do as better job Brian shut up and get out of the club!!

Brilliant Judge Kerr.
A genius who has managed the impossible.
We now have Massimo talking to Farnon et al.
Clearly this is the best way forward for Leeds United and we also kick out KB and his friends for good.
It's a win win situation and only a very clever man could have done this.

Not that the club has any money but Britt Assombalonga would possibly make a good signing. Playing at Peterborough at the moment looks decent enough for 20 yrs and this season he's managed 28 goals and 6 assists in 49 games

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would assonbalonga want a move backwards?
I'm a Leeds fan but we won't attract a conference player until this farce that GFH has built is sorted ;(

Andy MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Bmc can sign him and play him at FB.

Agree0 Disagree0

No point, if he is any good BMD won't sign him, he is after player way over the hill who are his mates who he can give a bumper pay deal to sit and bench warm??

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree whenever I have seen him he looks a powerful striker scores goals and has real pace, I believe he is a real prospect and the right age to try and get ready for next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive been saying assombalonga and jay emauel Thomas for the last 6 months lol

I think Brian would put him in goal, only position that would be (almost) impossible to score from?

Gets om my nerves all this mcderm and mccorm reflecting on a game lost. Who gives a hump!? I don't care why you lost and I don't want to know how fantastic you are admitting you have to do better. Just bloody do it. Then write about 3 points gained. Do they really think we give a rubbish what they think. Paid to play not talk!

Yes those people would have to pass the test, they are the people taking over so each individual would have to pass the test.
