Not Leeds related for once, but the more I read about the Jake Livermore situation, the more disgusted I become, not just with football, but society as a whole. If it's true that he was taunted about the death of his child, then respect to him for not killing the guy. No place for any of that, anywhere, any situation. Well done Jake.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

03 Jan 2018 22:36:22
Totally with you Bright. Stunned and mortified when I read it. If true, he was beyond restrained. Admirable even. No place in society for such a nasty comment or the nasty piece of kit who said it. Shameful.

Absolutely shocking. Disgraceful . should be put too sleep never mind banned.

West Ham fans, another team like Millwall who’s fans seem to get away with any abuse! If it had been me I would of killed the stupid idiot, and no disrespect to Jane but Millwall fans have got away with taunts about our 2 lads killed in Turkey for years! Nothing will change until the FA and other professional bodies dish out the correct punishment to the individuals and the club throughout, it’s no good dishing out serious punishment to one team and then not another, yes just like we have suffered in the past yet others get away with it constantly! One rule for some one rule for others! MOT

Agree4 Disagree0

04 Jan 2018 09:34:42
well said, banter (hate that word but still) or a joke or even taunting has a place in football but how anyone can laugh about the death of a child is just sick, my thoughts go to livermore and his family

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jan 2018 10:34:37
Unfortunately the scum bred freely, only the other day I was working with a client and her dog and three young lads playing near by used the f-word more times then I can remember . Social media has made it all to easy to abuse others and only in more resent times has this become an area legally challenged . Footballers are still being racially abused and as for the Livermore incident, I hope the person is found and shamed .

Unless it is Ken Bates, I am sure we all agree he is pretty fair game right?

Agree0 Disagree2

04 Jan 2018 16:41:50
It’s a pity he isn’t fair game though eh, he would get shot in August! along with all the other game!

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2018 17:30:16
i wouldn't shoot him too easy, I have not given it any thought but I think I would tie him upsidedown naked to a chair with a drip dropping on his balls, so water torture to his plums. then I would let my little one at his hair as she loves pulling hairs out one by one, there would probably be some kind of electro shock treatment to his nips and the gimp from pulp fiction to sort out his harris. probably something like that. I mean I haven't given it much thought

Bermondsey it’s only a game of football not war, this is just stupidity at its best, and as bad as the rest.

Let's assume that our chances of winning the FA Cup are slim then it is a decision to make whether to use some of the fresher faces in our line up. CBJ, Pennington, Anita, Grot, Denton, Shaugnessy, Wilkes, O'Connor, Stokes, Klich, and Bouy. Mix in Roofe, Lassoga, Cibicki and Alioski. Give them a chance to impress. Mix them all up and see what happens.

Agree2 Disagree1

04 Jan 2018 06:43:26
every one of you spot on, sick of lasogga now

Agree1 Disagree1

04 Jan 2018 09:37:25
i don't like losagga and not seen him play well but he has scored 5 in 9. My question would be, when we struggle for goials should we not play to his strenghts as he can clearly score. I would maybe put this on TC slightly as think with correct game plan losagga could score 25 goals plus as his record with us this year might suggest playing devils advocate here as i don't rate him but his stats are better than any other leeds player this year and not far behind wood

Agree2 Disagree1

04 Jan 2018 13:00:59
Agree BW, play to Lassoga's strengths and he will score. You would have to play with two up front to achieve this.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jan 2018 07:02:07
he hasn't scored 5 in nine he's has plenty of opportunity, coming on against burton and forest.

03 Jan 2018 17:17:04
Let's see how this Halme lad shapes up. One for the, not too distant, future. Hopefully we have spotted a young gem before anyone else snaps him up. Must be daunting for a young boy, used to playing in front of 5000 spectators, to run out to 30,000 plus, cheering him on. Freeze or blossom, we shall see. If the team think he will be an instant hit maybe we should still look at someone like Figueiredo.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

03 Jan 2018 17:50:33
I do agree with your post Leodis but for me surely our first most immediate priority is to strengthen the first team squad! All these for the future signings are great but not for oldies like me who might not be around to see it! Something to cheer about now is what we need, we really should be getting in first on solid transfers! Someone on here mentioned Gary Madine, he scored a great goal at the weekend, but all our transfer talk is about under 23s! We have done well to get where we are playing like we do, just imagine if we had good additions this month, where would that take us? Wolves have signed a striker from Valencia and they are Top, come on Orta earn your money!

Agree4 Disagree2

03 Jan 2018 18:18:21
Totally agree mikewoody, once we get ourselves in the position to mount a challenge then we should do everything to push on. There is no guarantee that we would be in that position again next season.

Agree3 Disagree1

03 Jan 2018 18:37:10
As you say Mezzer nothing is ever guaranteed ans as Mike says some of us are getting a little too long in the tooth to wait around. I hope VO/TC/AR has the clubs best interests at heart and with 3 or 4 quality signings (now) puts us to the front of the queue for promotion and with his young acquisitions is laying the foundations for a lengthy stay as me and Mikey want to be around to watch it.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 19:33:37

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 21:29:01
I’m with you both on that one gents! When your grey hair gets greyer you look at things a lot different! I just want to see us rubbing shoulders with the big teams again, it really is important for us to build on the work Radz has done and in my opinion Radz and Orta should be looking at where we are in the league and we are not to far away from the second automatic place, so shouldn’t they be thinking about that and invest to push on? Wolves are well clear yet they are prepared to spend big to keep it like that!

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 21:36:24
Unfortunately, I couldn't disagree more. We've just been taken over recently, and he's bought back our home, and invested. we all know where splashing the cash has taken us before a la ridsdale. and we don't wanna go back there. Slowly, steadily, mindfully. we will be back, just need a good business brain at the helm (oh, got that) , and patience from elsewhere.

Agree2 Disagree1

03 Jan 2018 21:45:12
I'm one of the oldies as well, but at 60 I reckon I can just about last another season or two to see us beating Citeh, scum and the likes

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jan 2018 12:42:39
We supposedly have money sitting in the bank from the sale of wood, another 5 million to come if spurs well Danny rose to Man ut d this transfer window. We have funds to strengthen.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 14:29:33
last 8 games we have taken 17 points. Doing a bit of maths here, with 20 games to go based on this form which i don't think is just a good run i think it is a good reflection on our season, if we were to replicate this form, we would get another 42 points. with our current 43, that would take us to 85 and last season that took reading to third. 83 took hull city to 4th in 2015/16 and 85 points also took boro to 4th in 2014/15. What we all complaining about?

carry on as you are boys and we will make it, sign a couple more players, striker and left back, and i can see top 2 with teams slipping up at the minute. If we'd have capitalised on bristol and cardiff losing their last 2, and we won our last 2, you be saying top 2 is likely as wed be on 48 points, with derby in second on 49. We didn't win these games, but TC has never seen this league and i expect him to be going into milwall and brentford, and reading with a desire to get 1 over on them after defeats earlier this year. let's hope i'm right.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

03 Jan 2018 17:41:51
If you apply that logic then we will finish 5th as all the teams will gain points at a similar rate. Unfortunately it is not that simple but would be happy to finish 5th

Interesting fact: If all of the teams in the efl were combined, and based on points per game, a league table was fromed, leeds would be 23rd in the league, with an average 1.66 points per game, in 2017.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

03 Jan 2018 22:13:58
Mikewoody67 have to agree with you mate, you would think bu the way some on this site we want 100 million spending, take a look a PN the hole team cost 2 mill and it’s have one thing we don’t and that is fight, so I think it not a lot to ask for the same. We may be in 6 place and in the playoffs, but you still have to win and we can’t win against the bottom teams how the hell do you see us winning against the top five team. Delusional

Is Wilks the answer?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Jan 2018 13:37:37
yes, watch him be quality against newport, bench against milwall as a reward, come on and score, run in the first team, sold at the end of the season to everton for 4.5 million

Agree1 Disagree1

03 Jan 2018 13:43:23
depends on the question. i find him unlikely to be the solution for our new striker in the first team.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 14:48:32
Wilks will prove useful as a sub. Can see him being deployed late in games. He's not the answer to the center forward position. He'd probably do well playing off Ekuban but that can't happen until March.

I always enjoy the kop BW so i'm sure as long as we are playing ok it will be a good atmosphere, particularly against 'wall. we need to make sure we don't let ourselves be bullied by Millwall this time and have a plan for moving the ball to our better players as there was no way through in the match earlier this season.

Firstly don't think is Lassogo is fit or even fit enough, Don't know if he can ever get fit enough ? He undoubtedly has the pedigree . In the most recent match it looked as if the team were trying to play to his strengths a bit more, it might be just me but there were a few passages when I thought he was better and they were trying to play him in. Look at Wood and how he turned things around, everyone players included have seen Lassogo as a straight replacement for Wood and he is not that type of player, all that said Lassogo still has a lot to do to turn it around. In the right team with the right players think he would get the goals, Just don't if Leeds in the championship is the place for him ?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

03 Jan 2018 13:02:59
Lassoga is not a lone striker and probably needs a partner to do the donkey work for him. Also feel that he is over muscular in that he has a body for the beach rather than a footballer. What I mean by that is that he is top heavy and is struggling to move his frame, I personally think that Phillips is starting to go the same way. Too much time pumping iron instead of working on tone and stamina.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 13:22:12
very good point notts this is the same reason i can not play to the same standard I am far too beach body ready! I have to say i did think the same thing, shame as phillps has quaiulty just not mobile enough imo

Still haven't found a link to watch the full Forrest game so finally caved and watched the extended highlights and I've got to say after reading a few of the posts I expected to see much, much worse. Obviously haven't watched the full game but from the HL looks like it could've been 2/3 nil to Leeds easily, Roofe had two chances, hernandez missed a 1 on 1, lassoga came close. I think we looked quite dangerous tbh. I still have faith in TC and the squad, a couple of additions are key but I think everything is quite promising at the moment.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

03 Jan 2018 09:46:29
it doesn't take much to bring out the negativity in most Leeds fans! its not all doom and gloom with the last 2 games plus Birmingham and Forest both had a change of managers just before playing us which is never an easy time to play a team. more bad luck than anything else. we will continue to do well against the lower teams and struggle with the top 7/8 if nothing significant changes in the transfer window and probably sneak into the playoffs and lose in the semi's.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 10:06:43
At times, OLEAN, we played well and you are right, we could easily have been 3 or 4 up. I believe we can more than hold our own against the lower teams and on our day against the better ones. But only on our day and when we play with confidence. I think TO Can still do the job but I fear all will be to no avail unless we shore up those key positions in this transfer Window. MOT.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 12:24:36
hightlights made us look bit better than we were. roofe was unlucky, plus keeper made a few good stops so it was not bad but think the negitivity have come from 1 point against two very poor teams so can see both sides

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 13:06:16
Roofe was not unlucky. The first effort was powder puff as he should have smashed it. The second chance he demonstrated no composure and should have drilled it into the corner instead of smashing it. Probably being harsh on the first chance as the keeper made a save but should have done better with the chance that hit the bar

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 15:23:57
Unfortunately too many players go for the glory shot instead of reining in the power and placing it a little. On chances we should have won 3/4 - 0 so all in all am not too down and feel that sooner, rather than later, this team will click and put 4 past some unlucky opponent.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jan 2018 05:46:33
Can we take it that if we don't get 2-3 of the following then tc and orta don't know what they need to succeed! A goalkeeper A left back. Not a priority. A championship or prem experienced midfield general like batty! A chamionship or prem experienced out and out scorer. I personally think we have width but nothing wrong with adding a run at you winger.
