Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Whilst we wish our National teams nothing but good fortune am I wrong in thinking that this "International break" is nothing but a frustrating waste of time. How dare they break our momentum, when the process of real football can continue and I can see the Mighty Whites kick on (another 3 points) and hopefully watch the new wizard on the wing terrorise opposition full backs.
I know it's only 2 weeks but its all dead time (and anyway it does seem much longer)

I agree. I don't see why there should be an international break for teams. Teams have squads and then it should be used in times like this!if teams have so many internationals then can't put. Match day squad together then fine, postpone their match!just another example of pampered, overpaid show offs!

How else do you want all those FAs to make money? There isn't another important vote for like 18 months yet. They got to look after the pennies leodis.

I love Leeds but I also support England so can't agree with people who moan bout international qualifers , sure friendliest not important but euros/World Cup are.

I will miss our games but room in life for both even if England are always shit in touraments

Glad to have Paul Hart back running the acadmey. Hope he can build on the excellent work redders has done and produce yet more talented youngsters like he did in his previous stint there.

That's the transfer window closed but am I correct in thinking that there is a loan and/or unattached window?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - opens on the 9th if I remember correctly, the loan window. Players that were out of contract before the window closed can join at any time.}

Thanks Ed001 Does anyone have any names that we should be interested in?

er window is closed, and Leeds United can reflect on a quality summer's business.

Not only did they address key positions of need, but they are unbeaten in the Championship after five games, with four draws and one win.

There do however remain players on the market with real quality, who could make an impact if head coach Uwe Rosler showed an interest.

Here is a look at five free agents the club could consider.

Kevin Nolan

Arguably the best player on the market, Nolan was surprisingly released by West Ham a week ago. He has experience playing and scoring goals in the Championship with the Hammers, and Newcastle, and while into his 30s, could be a real difference maker. His experience in vital situations could help the club turn draws into wins, and be the difference between a top 10 finish and the play-offs.

Ricardo Vaz Te

Another former West Ham man, Ricardo Vaz Te left the east London side in January. A short spell in Turkey followed and he remains unattached. The 28-year-old scored 10 goals in 15 games the last time he was in the Championship, and with the ability to play up front and on the right wing could be a useful addition.

Jerome Thomas

Thomas enjoyed a brief spell on loan at Leeds earlier in his career, and was released by Crystal Palace earlier in the summer. There is less need for Leeds to go back for th 32-year-old having addressed their lack of wingers by signing Stuart Dallas and Jordan Botaka, but adding strength in depth, on a free transfer, is not necessarily a bad move.

Urby Emanuelson

Former AC Milan midfielder Urby Emanuelson is capable of playing at left-back and on the left wing, and has a lot to prove after seeing his career fade. Once a promising star at Ajax, he finds himself without a club at the age of 29. A former Fulham loanee and Dutch international, Emanuelson's last club was Atalanta, and due to his Serie A exploits could be well known to owner Massimo Cellino.

Slobodan Rajkovic

Rajkovic was once one of Chelsea's most highly regarded youth prospects, with the club paying more than £3 million to sign him as a teenager. Just last season he was playing for German Bundesliga side Hamburg, but his career has been plagued by injuries. At just 26-years-old, the 14-time capped Serbian international centre-back is not ready to give up yet, and the 6ft 3" star could be worth Leeds taking a flier on, even on a pay-as-you play deal. Obvs got from another website but think I'd be happy with any of these.

great post about suitable players but wages will stop that. I understand they need to earn money but it is just greed, look at bebatov and adeoboyar both had the chance to play football but wages got in the way. I would love to us sign rajkovic and emanoulson and vaz-ta even if we gave them low buy out clauses with the argument of if you play well someone will buy you and pay more wages. but it seems they would rather sit about than go and play the beautiful game

I saw this too on another site. Rajkovic looks good but Emanuelson seems to have lost one of his legs the way his career is going! Agree on Thomas too.

I saw this article too. To be honest Nolan is the only one I would take. Vaz Te only hit 5 in the last 3 seasons and would be expensive as a third string striker. Thomas has only played 10 games (with no goals) in the last two seasons so again too expensive as a backup. Emanuelson doesn't replace Taylor or Dallas for me so again expensive backup. Rajkovic is a hard one, as the post says he would be great on a pay as you play but injuries keep him to about 15 games a season so a full contract would be a bad idea, also if your trying to build a stable partnership its unlikely to work.

Only Nolan from that list would make sense, but money would stop that from happening. Think we are going the right way with Cellinos preference of young players with potential to improve. Watched the young ones again last week and must say again Viera and Wilks are really promising lads, glad we got Hart in to keep them on track.

I'll go:-

1. Middlesbrough
2. QPR
3. Ipswich
4. Hull
5. Burnley
6. Derby

Seems i'm the only one to not put us up there but I think we will be in and around (7th or 8th) at Christmas, 1 win doesn't convince me we can see games out quite yet and as well as we played against Derby we again switched of for a short period and that has cost us points in 2 of the games already. If we keep the top six in sight I think we will push on in the second half of the season and grab a playoff place.
If we cut out the concentration lapses over the break though then top three is potentially achievable by Christmas.
