Although more than happy with start of season and new transfers, there is a but. I still can't for the life of me understand after last seasons performances why we opted to buy sacko for Β£1.5 million or there abouts. I wish instead we would have put that money towards jota who's gone to Birmingham or Tom Lawrence who's gone to derby. I think if we' world of done that we would be nailed on for top two in my opinion. Not a moan just an observation that's all.

Might be like a few have said on here in the past that he can scare the life out of defenders with his pace but just needs to learn to lift his head up to see the cross. Maybe TC and his backroom staff can have more success than the previous regime. Β£1.5m in this day and age is peanuts when if he can learn to pass the blooming ball then we could have a nice little investment

I can understand why we bought Sacko because he showed promise but as I have said before on here, when I saw him come on in the friendly against Oxford he looked completely lacking in confidence and worse than last year. I thought ni he needs some game time and was surprised he hasn't gone out on loan. Like Lucas, I wouldn't give up on him but I think he needs some help.

I see what you are saying Slough but we don't need Jota or Lawrence, top platers that they are. Saiz, Roofe and Hernandez play the position and what I've seen of Saiz so far Jota is not needed even though he's a proper talent. It would be hard to keep eveyone happy imo. Sometimes you have to prioritize.

I would have jota over Hernandez every time corky. He has one bad game in four. Our man's the other way round.

You are right Slough. Read my post again though mate. Saiz, Roofe and Hernanadez are enough number 10s. As much as Jota is a good player we already brought in Siaz during the summer. Too many cooks brother.

Jota played his best football for Brentford on the left

I think sackho was a potential last year in a relativity small squad in the position he plays. TBH I always thought he was carp ! Ran up line with his head down. Didn't know when to pass or cross and was a bit hard too watch. Got worse. Looking at this year as we have recruited better in those said positions. also Dallas upped his game. So have 4/5 in front off him. TC and Vitor knowong what players they wer going to get in. Should have got him out on loan or possibly not gave him a new contract. Harsh but true. But it is what it is lads. I think sackho is the last thing we should be worrying about. MOT. roll on the next game. βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

Looking at what we have I can not Sacko getting a game Bat, on the Jota front he has been a bit quiet this year but most of it is that teams have worked him out . In regards to P H think we all agree he has a great game and then goes missing most of the next game . Kilth seems to be a sub I did wonder whether he will come into play more as the season progresses.

I know it's boring but as daft as it may sound I'm glad we have this international break. Yes we were on a roll gaining momentum but I think it stopped at the right time, as we can now take stock of what we have, we have the chance to try new things in training for match day (with the guys that are not on international duty) . Our new strikers will have had well over a week to settle in, whereas they would of had no time before being put in to play. We also have done really well by bringing the majority of our signings in well before this window closed, I mean Birmingham brought loads in so Harry will have to hope they gel quickly! But I do believe this break will definitely benefit us, and I know it's only talk and probably boredom but I do think we should put the songs for Monk and Wood to bed, believe me songs won't hurt them but getting beaten by LUFC will, by the time that fixture comes we will be even stronger and instead of wasting our voices singing berating Monk, let's raise our voices for TC as again that will hurt Monk even more and let's not forget TC deserves our voices more! Great post Mike but lest you forget there is at least one man on here who has copious amounts of bile for these lads. Poor ole Cooper is one mistake from being a total leper once more i'm afraid. MOT.

Balls. ⚽️⚽️⚽️ He's club captain and the confidence is hanging outta him. Support the fella instead off waiting for
him to make a mistake. Everyone makes them. Look at poor Rooney. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ·πŸš—πŸΊπŸΊπŸ‘¨πŸ»β€βœˆοΈ

The main problem would be that Thomas Christianson is pretty difficult to fit into a footy chant :) so F*** garry monk it is then

used to sing 'Garry, Garry Monk' to the tune of Boney M's 'Daddy Cool' when Monk was still our coach. How about 'Garry, you're a c**t, Garry, you're a c**t! ' to the same tune?

Sorry guys really bored so harking back to an old post from BW, come out come out wherever u are. He said Wilcos was the best team and that Revies were a bunch of under achievers. Never had time to respond back then but here goes now. Start with the underaachievers. Revie joined 1961/62 andgave us the all white. 63/64 Div 2 champions. 64/65 2nd Div 1 on goal diff and FA Cup finalists 65/66 2nd Div 1 66/67 4th Div 1 Fairs cup finalists. 67/68 4th Div 1, FA Cup winners, Fairs Cup winners. 68/69 Champions Div 1, 28 games undefeated. 69/70 2nd Div 1 FA Cup finalists, Winners Charity Shield. 70/71 2nd Div 1, Fairs Cup winners, Tinklers year. 71/72 2nd Div 1, FA Cup winners. 72/73 3rd Div 1, FA Cup final, Cup Winners Cup final. 73/74 Champions Div 1. Revie left. 74/75 European Cup Final, Armfield. Now Wilcos top achievers 89/90 Champions Div 2 90/91 4th Div 1 91/92 Champions Div 1, Charity Shield. 92/93 17th, wow underachievement or what, Sold Cantona. 93/94 5th Div 1 94/95 5th Div 1 95/96 FA Cup final. So now can all you who doubted the Revie years bow your heads in shame please. When a manager can spend a decade in the top flight and be involved in all major competitions throughout that period i will then consider him to be as great as Revie and his team on a par with his.

Revie and Wilko were both great managers for the club, however, revie won more than Wilko, but he didn't win as much as he should've, like how many times we were runners up in trophies, when we should've been winning them, hell, we should have the F. A cup like 5 times ahaha.

03 Sep 2017 17:19:03
Delboy you are right we were runners up too much but we were in everything. If we were in final of one you can bet we were in quarters or semis of another. Even with big squads they have now clubs still prioritise what they want to win, something we never did in the Revie era.

I've heard players who played under revie saying it may of been better if they did pick what they wanted to win and go for it.

Bige mate you are bang on. Bermo hasn't got a clue, although he is right when he said Revies team underachieved. However BW is totally wrong putting Revie behind Wilko as you pointed out in your all over the place list! Two things Bige. what's Tinklers year? Mark Tinkler? And 1996 was the league cup final against Villa not FA Cup. Ill never forget that one, cost me nearly 4 grand! Great post though.
