Well pleased with the signing of Stuart Dallas. If it's true that we can buy one more player I would like to see another pacy winger/ striker.
In the loan market I think we need cover at centre back and a holding mf in case of injury/ suspension to Adeyemi.
With Sharp and Morison gone and Ajose likely to follow, maybe a loanee striker might not be a bad option.
Anyway I'm more optimistic than in previous seasons( or do I say that every year lol) so COYW and many more pints at Spoons for MM. MOT.

So Bamba is captain,we have a winger, more signings on their way, just like most people on here have been asking for. So we have got what we asked for. So people should be happy. Does anyone know how ticket sales are going for Saturday. Can't wait.

Rumour that Cellino is going to open the cheque book and sanction Rosler to sign one more player. Could be something to do with the Gradel cash (between £500k-£1.2m depending on the percentage we got, have seen varying numbers) or knocking Morison off the wage bill, that season ticket sales are up, new sponsor deal or all of the above combined. Maybe we could bring in Buckley too? wishful thinking perhaps. Just hope its not German striker Wagner that we are being linked with. We have enough strikers already and the guy has a worse strike rate than Cani.

Ive just had to ring bookies and get my £500 back!! I had stevey to score twenty pus goals this season! So I've put it on MM to give up his shell suits for a wansey by end of season got same odds!! Lol anyway welcome dallas and good luck steve at millwall!

04 Aug 2015 18:33:20
I heard MM is now developing a onesie made from shell suite material in a bid to help you with your bet Peterboro at the same time as preserving his love of the shiny, silky garments.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 18:58:31
Onesie? You've got to be kidding guys. The worst fashion disaster since Crocs. I may well extend my fashion line and introduce new undergarments for the discerning gent around town. Made from a blend of acrylic and asbestos (like the shell suits), these garments are not only indestructible and have a carbon footprint the size of a yeti's, they are stain proof, so perfect for the lads after a night on the sauce in 'Spoons. I'm thinking of taking 'Mad Kecks' on Dragon's Den later this year.

well MM I'm in, for the idea and come to think of it in for wearing them as well, no need to worry about the after drip bet it will roll off like a bead of sweat on a fat blokes arm pit. Also for Morrision, millwall fans are actually glad to have him and excited. this I find very funny, that said I bet he hits 12 goals at least in lower league and one of the 'stronger sides'

When I read the Morrison news my initial reaction was 'YES' although that may be a bit harsh. He certainly didn't set the championship alight with his goals, nor was he close with his finishing, but he did always give it 100% in terms of effort. Unfortunately effort on its own is never enough and Steve lacks ability, it's a shame though when you think about the number of players out there who have huge talent but lack effort.

Good luck at Millwall Steve,

I think we need a few new signings, loan just for depth. Would quite like a back up RB, one or two wingers and one more striker.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Aug 2015 16:55:40
RB is certainly not a position we need cover. Berardi, Byram to slot back if need be, Coyle and dare I say Wooton. Another winger such as Buckley or Barker would be most useful. So far as another striker is concerned, Rosler will evaluate and decide next month what extra cover he wants. I wouldn't be surprised if we go back in for Barker now with us having acquired Dallas, a winger of our own.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 19:56:34
good to get another winger but as I said before if we do who do we drop? my personal choice would be a good center back (like as good as the wonder man wooten) then I would say team done really

Buckley would have to vie with Byram. Great bench option.

Morison contract severed. No long Leeds player. He is free to join Millwall.

There were more pages in Morison's contract to shred than he scored goals for Leeds United. Thanks for the memories Steve.

Jesse Lingard, available at £2.5m and an England U21's international.

04 Aug 2015 16:46:52
Completely understand, wishing to see Buckley in the White Shirt. On his day he can be unplayable. Watched him a number of times at Brighton (mate is a season ticket holder) unfortunately he suffered with a recurring hamstring problem, not certain if it was ever fully resolved, do may be a risk there. Also amazing player when the teams on top but not so good on the tracking back side of the game and never seen him make a tackle. Really pleased with Dallas though far and away best player on the pitch when Brentford beat Brighton.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 17:30:06
Adp, very good player. Good price but where do you play him? Drop Mowatt?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Aug 2015 08:47:35
It really depends on formation George, would have him as part of a front 3 maybe with Dallas and Wood?

I saw last night that Newcastle fancy him too so even if Leeds was interested he would always want to stop in Prem.

I am quite happy with the team at moment and if can add a good few loans to push for places then I think we are in a better place than last season.

04 Aug 2015 13:31:07
Dallas deal over the line. Let's hope he can put the ball over the line. A great signing. Part of a talented group of Northern Ireland players who's position this far into the Euro group proves what I'm saying. We should look at the McLaughlin brothers and Rafferty seems to have finally grown up and has been excellent for NI against some quality defences. Amazingly, cheap money would still buy these guys.

Any chance we have a sell on clause on Danny Rose?

Would come in handy seeing as we will be recieving funds from the Delph and Gradel sales.

Nice little business this.

Leeds United Season Preview is a good read and thanks for mentioning my favourite subject, the new ratchet riser sprinkler system. I don't know how many of you realise just what an important part this system could play this season.

If we adopt the George Graham style offside trap and whenever an opposing player bursts through from midfield and springs the offside trap, deploy the ratchets, up come the risers and hose the said player down with the power of a water cannon. Disaster averted and Leeds go on to win every home game, simples!

Can't wait until Saturday. New season, new belief, new start. Premier league here we come.

As much as I would love promotion this season I would would equally be happy with a top 10 finish. It would be nice to still be in the running come March for a change.

As previously stated I'm dry optimistic, we are Leeds which means anything is possible!

With Dallas on board we should be around an 9th -12th type of team, so maybe 1 more quality loan deal might push us up a couple of places.

First 11 looks pretty strong but not sure how we would get on with the odd injury, either way we have to be in a better place than we have been at the start of the last 2-3 seasons for sure so we should all be feeling a little positive, would be a shame for those who ain't.

No way are we bottom 4-6 favs for relegation, to me (as Ed said bout bookies) only experts who don't like us would think that as the structure of the team/management/club has been significantly improveded so can't see why we would be in the favs to go down, a lot of worst teams around.

I actually think Hull might struggle (lower - mid table) and QPR for me won't be top 6 either but we will see.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 15:00:55
Yeah dg I have a feeling Hull may struggle ,also Brentford .
Cardiff ,Rotherham and Preston .
I also do not think that QPR will be a major force at the start of the season ,first club to sack manager is my thoughts .
Hoping that are young lads continue to improve and I recon we are about eight -nine .

04 Aug 2015 00:09:56
hey up people, just been having a look at Mr Dallas video of his goals last year and his stats, am I right in thinking he's down as a left winger? as all of his goals came from his right foot, albeit he scored a few crackers with it.
he doesn't appear to use his left foot much and his career assists for Brentford were 4 out of 70 odd games, hope he is as good with his left as he obviously is with his right or he will get shown outside by good championship defenders for sure, sorry to be a damp squid

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Aug 2015 01:33:30

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 12:43:56
Only 4 assists in 70 odd games, you got to be kidding?!
He only sets up, say, 2 goals a season?
Jesus, I am not a big stats person but them figures don't seem very promising. I know nowadays it's the fashion for right footers to play on the left side and vice versa, but I am hoping the lad can at least cross with his left foot, and not have to cut back on his right the whole time.
Big Wood (no pun intended) will thrive on balls early and quick in to box (pun intended) and not having to wait while the left winger has to cut back onto his right.
Anyway, like I said I am not a massive stats person (apart from center forward goals to games ratio) and maybe the lad will set up untold goals and bang in a dozen or so as well!
Roll on Saturday.

Squids are always damp mate, as a result of being mostly in the sea. It's a 'damp squib' that you mean. A squib is like a firework. If it is damp it won't light, therefore causing disappointment. That's where the expression comes from. There's a very famous legal case involving a lit squib being thrown. more to the point though, this is an excellent signing from il capo Cellino. Leeds are going up lalalalalala Leeds are going up!
