id like to see bent and woods if bent is not passed it, mind you I would like to see ant and woods paired together and think woods need support and I am a massive ant fan and think he is best footballer we have had since snodgrass (with ball at feet if that makes sense)

Id like to see McKAy and McDaid (or any other kid) a chance to step in.

Erwin isn't going to get a chance, Wood will come back whenever, don't care really.

But we are in a perfect situation to give the younger players game time. Coyle, Walters maybe, Philips etc etc.

Use this time to bring on the youth players. And if you don't want to think that way, up their value.

McDaid out on loan last I heard.
He wasnt even starting for the development side so i'd imagine he is a long way from the 1st team.
Also we are not totally safe from relegation so I wouldn't start playing too many youngsters just yet.
Phillips should be given a chance but with so many midfielders probably not.

d. s got a good point if we ain't going up or down maybe thrown in a few youngesters and blood them. according to a well respected management game (which I now work for part time) walters and van could be useful. I also like phillps but as we have 100 CM's it might make sense to loan him out.

What do you guys think of Matty James from Leicester. He is a solid midfielder and is still young, and was a key player before he got injured. He will provide a solid midfield alongside Cook and Bridcutt.

Also, what about Imoh Ezekiel from Anderlecht. He is very fast and will provide the type of player who can get balls into the box as well as score them.

IMO opinion before we get any more midfielders we need strikers and CB's.

Agree about Matty James. Very good player who if I remember right scores goals from midfield. Have a lot of midfielders though.

SE is saying that he will resign if we are not making a promotion push next year. Somehow I don't think he will need to make that decision. The players on the pitch or Cellino will.

Agreed Hesslian. More sound bites from Evans that are totally unnecessary. Discussing a promotion push next year is a tad premature given that we are only just over half way through this season. Understand that this season may be petering out but to totally write it off is disrespectful to paying supporters, particularly to season ticket holders who have committed to purchasing the 2015/ 16 ticket. Have a strong transfer window in the summer and then talk about promotion pushes, however this decision will not be Evans to make.

Looks like Big Stevie E is insecure in his position and rightly so with mad head in charge. I agree Notts that we shouldn't be writing this season off and listening to Stevie's press conference today he said "dare to dream". I dream every night that Mrs Mick will leave me and her sister will take pity on me and move in. It will never happen (well the first bit might) but I "dare to dream".

Shows a fundamental lack of ambition, cast your minds back, when reading won c'chip under mcd they were in relegation zone at xmas, I know we are in feb now but still loads of points to play for. Disappointing.
Also if we are not in the fight for top six we are therefore in a relegation fight.

Sounds to me like he is just trying to downplay our chances in the media, but behind the scenes he'll be making us underdogs to the players and revving the boys up. It might be what we need to get promoted.

Can anyone clarify? is this the last season that if we achieved promotion there would be a £5 million plus payment due to the previous owner (Bates) or the creditors who got burned when we were liquidated? Therefore promotion next season would mean there is no payment due to him/ them?

I just knew there was a perfectly good reason why we were playing so badly, and it wasn't anything to do with the squad.
