It will be interesting to see who plays against Cambridge and who gets rested for Derby.

sorry, meant . and who gets rested ready for the derby visit. Time for bed I think.

Would expect Silv, Cooper, Vieira, Dallas, Roofe and Ant to come in for Green, Jansson, Philips, Doukara, Sacko or Hernandez and Wood. Would also like to see Denton and Coyle in for Berardi and Ayling personally. Both look to have real potential and if we aren't going to loan them out then these games are perfect to give them a run out.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jan 2017 13:04:31
Coyle is injured. Silvestri Berardi Bartley Cooper Denton Bridcutt Phillips Doukara Roofe Dallas Antonsson. Let's not go crazy with the team, Cambridge will be up for it. Bring on Pontus in injury time so he can make Derby his 22 game.

With the new shareholder on board I know posters on here have been suggesting players to bring in and I will be happy to see a few signings but the greatest lift to my heart would be to hear that our beloved Elland Road belongs to Leeds United.

Wex I see your point but I believe we have more important things to attend to, like promotion to Premier League. Buying the ground back when that happens will take care of its self.

Agree5 Disagree0

05 Jan 2017 01:31:41
Cork is right, as nice as it would be its not the right time unless Rad wants to spend SERIOUS money this window. Best way to do it would be in the summer, if we don't go up (lets be fair we won't need to add much to challenge next term so funds available) or the season after we go up, because to stay up we won't want to tie up any funds, the season after we should be good to go though.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jan 2017 11:41:33
Was that not a ridsdale tactic rather than investment in the stadium we buy players instead chasing the dream. To be a real football club we need to own our stadium.

Lets all hope AR is willing to put money into club, think he will but not massively. Has he bought the 50% himself or is he fronting investors.

Hey guys, Great news today regarding Andrea! Think he will bring in real stability for the club which is fantastic! And he's pleased with monks work πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜€! Aren't we all! Seeing Leeds are still interested in Ashley fletcher? Is it me or am I missing something? His record as a striker is woeful! 5 goals in about 35 games, all of which were for Barnsley! Admittedly I've never seen him play but can't we do better? For me nugent and Rhodes are experienced goal scorers, way better options even if they are older! Plus there's a reason Man Utd let fletcher go, he ain't good enough! Remember the last Man Utd reject we got.? Not good enough! MOT.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Jan 2017 22:39:23
I guess you are talking about Wooton? Remember Strachan? I just feel that Garry Monk knows what he is doing and going by the players he has brought in already we should trust his judgement. However, i'd take Rhodes all day as he is a proven scorer at Championship level.

Agree3 Disagree1

04 Jan 2017 22:56:51
Yes wooton, strachan was in a completely different footballing era so you can't use him as an example. But I agree with you, I have faith in monk although grimes hasn't turned out so good has he?

All I'm saying is why don't we go for proven strikers as opposed to ones that haven't done anything? We are even linked with an Italian striker who failed at West Ham! No sense!

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jan 2017 23:12:04
Fuzz you are right but the problem is proven strikers cost. Lots of names being mentioned and Rhodes will cost aprox 8 mill. Nugent imo is a 12 goal a season man. If Monk believes Fletcher can add to the squad then that's good enough for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2017 01:41:35
Fletcher is been looked at as a cheap gamble on a future player (the lad is only 21 after all, most players that age are out on loan in Lg1 or 2) . I would think Monk is looking at him a lot like Sacko, he has stupid amounts of pace, you can't teach that. With Beattie to work with he could become a really good forward given a little time, would rather have either of the other two but one is way over priced and the other is in his decline. As a short term fix he is a bad signing but as an investment he could be really good. Ps for the record Fuzzy, Man U offered him an extension, he ran his contract out so he isn't a reject, he wanted first team football (Also why he now wants out at Ham) which is a good attitude at least.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Jan 2017 13:06:51
If we're looking at a cheap gamble, I'd rather Kashket from Wycombe. He played a lot of futsal so he's quite skilful and is in good form atm. Wouldn't cost Β£2m either. If we're spending Β£2m on a striker it should be someone like Nugent who is experienced in the Champ, rather than Fletcher.

04 Jan 2017 20:31:50
Alot of people don't rate celino, but I seriously think he has done a stellar job, yes he did take quite a long time to realise the level of players needed to bring in to the club, or how the english game works with managers running the ins and outs but he never did not invest, he was 100% leeds from the start. I think A-R was chosen because of his connections in the televised industry, a big part of football clubs is branding nowadays, and A-R is well known in the middle east and china, with this in mind and a bit of investment, leeds united has the potential to raise its game and raise its brand even more! For all his failings, MC pulled the club out of a financial mire and helped us see the back of the crooks known as GFH. He had to spend way more than he thought he would just to stabilize us and although ultimately he will not lose that money he still took a risk and made decisions that helped get us back on an even keel. I do think that some of the decisions that have turned out form around this season were probably down to AR as much as MC but if that is the case then at least he has listened and that has brought about a winning team. Much of the signings (Pontus, Hernandez) I feel were made in anticipation of the investment so that is a result of the team as well imo but we shouldn't underestimate the size of the job MC did turning us around and making us attractive for that investment - a world away from where master bates and GFH left us and he had to take a lot of flack to make the tough decisions that were needed. Good on you MC I hope history eventually sees you as a hero and not a villain.

Okay, more a question really but am I not right in thing that as of today Leeds united are not a penny richer and that all that has happened is that 50% of the club has a new name and that Mr Cellino has now a few MORE million in his back pocket. I assume that what will happen now is that Cellino and Radrizzani will sit down and agree how much more of their own money will they stump up to invest? Even so, it looks like LUFC has found itself a new "dragon" with lots of good contacts. Onwards and Upwards. MOT.

04 Jan 2017 18:41:30
leodis that is correct he has paid MC for a share in his stake of the club this may end up in transfer kitty but not nessacirily. too the MC getting MORE money he has put a lot in this club, I believe he put in millions as a loan which has to be paid back if he sells the club, remember the loan at the start to pay for wages and transfer before he owned the club. what a ledgend he is and he should be paid for selling his club as this is how it works, bit miffed by original post.

Got to say that with todays announcement we are looking in the best place we have been for over a decade. Massive thanks must go to Massimo who stepped in and saved us when no one else seemed bothered. His often controversial work behind the scenes (and in the news) has enabled us to get here. Some strengthening of the squad now and we can have a real go at getting out of this division.

MC giving loan to pay wages before taking over the club, MC having rubbish sqaud going back to league one and bringing us back to brink of prem. you have a short memory whitelight but you are right MC is one class act and arguble the most important person in leeds history as he may be the person that stopped us going to league one and brought us back to prem glory.

B. Mac was sacked by Cellino before Cellino took control of the club . Cellino then acted like a bully pushing his way or no way. Asfor his great signings most were rubbish Bellusci the saviour and other Italian crap. Radrazzini has come in and conducted himself like a proper businessman should . He will lead us to the Premiership and a full buyout in the summer, and good riddance to Cellino and his family.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jan 2017 20:37:04
Are we all forgetting that until recently gfh still owned 25%. This is the first season when mc has had full control. Therefore mc can only be blamed 75% for what happened prior to this season. The Italian guy mc originally bought with him made most of the very dodgy signings, can't remember his name, nicolas springs to mind. Ok, mc is not perfect, we all have our floors but give credit where credit is due. He saved us from the doo doo. (You can't edit that eds😜)

agree with all but white light, reason I say he is must important is if we go prem this or next year, we were going into admin and into league one when he took over, from that to prem is a massive turn around and as big as any at the club that I can think of. he done stella job all around and everything we are happy about at the moment is 100% due to MC as much as I hate hock I love monk and both are down to that man, there are thoes who understand football and reconise what mc has done then there are the idiots who slate him.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

For me we could do with a new LW and cover for ST, AM and CB, also a new LB if Taylor goes. Sounds a lot but could do it with 2-3 players if we bring in the right people, that Maxim we have been linked with, for instance, can play LW, AM and RW. Him, Nugent and a CB sets us up pretty nicely.

"I am making a long-term commitment to Leeds United and will work to bring stability through ongoing investment. I aim to bring sustainable growth. I won't do anything that will put the Club's future at risk. " He's talking the talk:) altho I didn't like the bit where he said he would be talking with supporters representatives . surely not them own agenda pushing lot from LUST? or the TTGM pair?

ok this radizzini just brought 50% of leeds, he is in media so should be good with public (unlike Mc who was just about the worst in this area) however does he have money? will he put it in leeds? he is in sports so must have good education and understanding of the game but does he understand what it takes to run a club. I am hopeful but I did like mc and thing he done wonders for the club and don't want to see him go if this new bloke ain't up to the task. better the devil you know and all that if mc goes at end of year as is an option I would love to thank him and wish him all the best for dragging leeds up. I also hope this new fella turns out trumps but does anyone on here know much about him, if so please do share.

Radrizzani has brokered a number of deals between clubs and buyer/investors so I'm guessing he is pretty well versed on the ins and outs of how a club is/should be run (you wouldn't be a very good car salesman if you didn't know anything about cars, etc. ) . From what I've read on the guy he is on good terms with a lot of big wigs at a number of clubs and governing bodies (Think it was Phil Hay who mentioned this when he said fans shouldn't worry about his fit and proper test because they know him to be squeaky clean) too so hopefully could get us some top class loanees and maybe the FA will get off our back a bit. As for money his net worth is a lot lower than Cellino but his liquid assets are potentially higher, he works in the service industry whereas Cellino is commodities which ties a lot of your money up. wouldn't be surprised to see him bring in investors to raise funds if he needs to though Berm, that's pretty much his day job.
