It wouldn't surprise me at all if we lose out on Vydra and or Hernandez apparently we've offered 8 million for Vydra after all this time surely it could have been sorted out instead we sign another young un from League 2 who will do nothing for the first team was expecting a big statement of intent with some stellar signings dread having to settle for Mbakogu type signings again IMO were still at least 4 quality signings short to be able to challenge for top 6 sick of seeing Leeds talks continue, Leeds looking at, Leeds linked with, Leeds considering, wheres the exciting signings we were promised?, if we have the money why nobody signed yet, confusing and worrying.

If I was sceptical I would say rumours of Hernandez, vydra and other Stella signings a smoke screen to bump up season ticket sales. Nearly another week and nothing happening.

Totally agree rhino, it is disappointing up to now. We can only hope the signings will come and quickly at that.

Same every year, linked with talent goes on for weeks then does not happen. 8mill will not be accepted. Really thought we would be serious this window.

I do remember a time when the YEP reported we were going to sign Diego "couple of lines" Maradona, while Billy was manager. It's the same very year. But I feel there will be good signings this summer. They need to get a move on tho!

Is it just me that’s a tad worried that the likes of Boro and forest are leaving us behind in the transfer market. Forest have recruited really well so far, I’m starting to get a little worried we are already losing ground before the season even kicks off! I know there will be loads of work being done behind closed doors but come on we seem to have been “in talks” with the likes of Vydra, Hernandez and Bartley for a bloody lifetime now.

Hi one and all I'm back from Russia after an amazing holiday (get yourselves out there if you can before the World cup is over - St Petersburg in particular is stunning and the atmosphere is incredible) . what did I miss? other than the new manager and the signing of baker have we been linked to anyone else?

The press seem to be going thro the phone book linking us with everybody from 8 to 80 (or so it seems) The only disappointing news is that Mbakogu has slipped tho our fingers but we are still chasing Hernandez to replace him.

Wow. How lop sided are the two last fours? Brazil, Uruguay, France and Belgium all capable. The other 4 not so. England have an excellent chance of sneaking into the final.

Think England are workmanlike, fairly solid but lacking in a truly creative player in the final third. Who am I to complain. Before the Finals everyone guessed Quarter Finals as our limit. We are there now so, come on, lets's keep going, everything now is a bonus.
