Call me Mystic Meg if I'm correct. I'm going to predict by the weekend we will have our new manager: Claudio Ranieri. I for one will be delighted

Speedy Looks to me as if the man whose last name becomes an amusing anagram once the 14th letter of alphabet is added will take the reins of our club by Thursday.

Maybe Pontus is angling for a move because he knows with this new guy as boss he will get found out! To be honest I’d say stuff them all, everyone is under scrutiny and it’s about time they had to prove themselves because one day when we get into the Prem then they really are going to be shown for what they are and at the moment that’s pure lazy and non committed to the club! So stop moaning and whinging, get your act together and show us you care, you get nothing in this life without working hard for it, us mere mortals have to work hard for a dam site less pay than Pontus is getting! Shape up or ship out! MOT

Couldn't agree more, he was happy enough to extend his contract to 5 years not too long ago

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2018 13:14:07
I think he will be happy enough if we match his ambitions and that would make us fans happy as well. he just doesn't want to spend the rest of his contract playing in the Championship which is fair enough. At least one of the players has the balls to demand more rather than settling for mid table rubbish. Good for Pontus, I say.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2018 15:37:07
Maybe if he'd played more like he meant it last season then he has the right to ask what ambitions we have. But, after last season, poor form, "injuries" and all he should get his head down and get ready to warm the bench during the world cup

Looks like its likely to be Bielsa then. Time to buckle up the rollercoaster is about to get started again.

OMG. what will the ones say who want a manager born south of Scotland, and east of Wales say? As long as he can do the job. but we'll all see soon enough
He won't hang around long if it all goes tits up!

I am in two minds over Pontus who is very frustrated and blaming everyone around him (but himself) and I can understand his frustration. He wants promotion, yesterday! Don't we all. Hopefully all the other players are kicking themselves for failing. After all it is they who are mostly to blame. The things that annoy me with Pontus is that he appears to be blaming everyone but himself is airing his grievances too freely and in not so many words angling for a move via the media. That anyone would want to better himself I have no problem with. To try to circumvent the normal channels I think is, out of order and I think makes Pontus look like he thinks he is bigger than the club. Either this is a media situation badly handled or it is time to grant his wish, say thank you and move him on.

Unless you grow up with a club you have one person in mind. yourself. He is a commodity that would get sold if not wanted so he doesn't see the would through rose tinted glasses! Why sound surprised? If he decided not to go would be full of praise for him and suddenly get amnesia? He's seen the potential writing on the wall from much close up than any of us, decided the chaos is endemic and he's reviewed his options. He's a grown-up. he is 27 and the clock is ticking.

Pontus looked great in his first season, was this because the bartman was along side him? . He became something of a hero at ER. When we needed him to be that hero this last season he went missing (like most of them) or conveniently went off injured. Leeds gave him a chance to kick start his career after his torrid time in Italy, seems now he is bigger than our club. Hope he has a great world cup and we can get a big fee for him. As good as he may be or thinks he is, the club is bigger.

Would like to see him back with barley. he's been average this season but has had his work cut out by playing with cooper, berardi, ailing, oconnor and shaugnessy all next to him at CB. If he had someone else with him whos good enough theyd be formidable, I think he just needs to realise he's not better than leeds.

04 Jun 2018 13:39:31
Let him go for some ridiculously over-inflated price, or give him the Seth Johnson treatment. TBH, if he was "all that" why, like Saiz, is he plying his trade in the second division at his age?

04 Jun 2018 14:35:34
Instead of heading bricks last season, Pontus was depositing them in his underpants when he came across a physical striker. That being said, if you had to line up with Calamity Cooper or Pennington as your defensive partner you would possibly consider your options elsewhere.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jun 2018 15:22:20
I don't see him going any time soon. He's just making sure Radz knows he wants a better defensive partner. He's communicating that's all. His form did dip last season but so did everyone else apart from Pablo. As Notts says, partnering with significantly inferior players can't have been good for his morale.

Agree4 Disagree1

04 Jun 2018 17:23:39
Maybe he could take responsibility rather than moaning. He's no better than Pennington or Cooper. Just had Bart making him look good

How the F, can be decide his future once the world cup is over. He signed a new long term contract didn't he?, I'd say the club will decide his future. Maybe he should pay the club compensation for his contract if he wants to leave.

Its been an interesting few weeks at LUFC The Heck has gone, kinda feel a little sorry for him as it looks like he was used as a stop gap till someone better became available, i'm not surpised though as like many on here believed he shouldn't have been given the job in the first place as he clearly wasnt good enough to take us up, in his 16 games he didn't convince the fans and heirarchy that he had the right to have a window and bring his own players in, So now the attention turns to a new gaffa the bookies have Bielsabub! 😆 leading the way whos trophy collection is nothing to write home about but pottecini and pep from Citeh both Rave on about how inspirational he is as a coach all be it a little Mad which means hell fit in ok at our club! Radz allegedly held talks with Claudio and Bruce also, I might join LIG in having a cheeky tenner at 50-1 on Zidane to shock the footballing world and lead the mighty whites next season 😆 looks like Radz is serious about going for it this coming season by raising the bar and wage structure by going for better quality coach and players ie hernandez Bartley etc, I really hope it comes off and we get everything in place and organised for a real tilt at the automatics next year, enough is enough we have been rotting in this Crappy frustrating League for far too long! Come on Radz MAKE IT HAPPEN! MOT 😎

Think we all want it to happen and take off for next year. Biggest thing is getting the manager right. Some one with character and know how. Bielsa and Raniera both would be good Bruce for me is a very good championship manager but will never make it n premiership. Need a strong manager and for Radz to back him. We will never attract top players with the likes of Heckingbottom in charge of the team. Need to step up this summer and show some balls. Think 69ers input will be valuable in the direction we take. let's start the season with an upbeat team all playing in their proper positions and use the young guns when we need to, let's not be scared any more to change if its not working, throw the odd young one in and drop players who are coasting. Strong manager makes strong teams let's get the Leeds mentality back. every one in it together. Give us something to cheer Radz

Feel sorry for him, with his £500k pay off, and he can put Leeds on his CV? Oh please. Wrong man from the start, disloyal to Barnsley, poor at team selection and using subs, BLUFFER! Good riddance. Ask yourself. was the the best Radz could get from a world full of experienced managers? Do you want second best or was it because he came from a town 40 miles away?

04 Jun 2018 19:50:35
True metissekit don't suppose he'll be too bothered considering his payoff! He was definitely the wrong man to appoint i just don't get their thought process for his appointment I've heard Orta had a lot to do with it! Says it all really, the players obviously were not bothered about playing for him so, i'm happy he's gone! Just hope they get it right with the next appointment which is looking like Bielsa who sounds as if he's a bit of a loose cannon but highly respected by Top top managers in the world, guess we just have to wait and see fella

That John Terry blokes a comedian isn't he? He gave his all for Villa last season and it hurts they didn't go up, BUT, he's not staying for another season . why not try playing for £5000 a week instead of £60000? I might have sympathy for him then . actually that bits a fib ;)

Believable4 Unbelievable0

My thoughts exactly AL, he is what you call a one season mugger! Villa gamble by bringing him in on £100,000 a week and he says all the right things, he bleeds them dry and they don’t go up! He’s gutted, devasted, sorry and crying yet he won’t stay for next season for half the money will he? no because he’s not that bothered after all! I will say this, not one of us on here wanted JT, and that goes to show we really are not like any other supporters, we want success the right way! 👌
