Quotes from newsnow. Dead man walking I think!

Evans was then told to stop running his mouth by Cellino in the followng days and the manager took the opportunity on Friday to fire a shot back at his boss at his pre-match press conference.

"I've allowed myself to speak about matters which aren't my remit, " Evans said. "The one thing I've learned is that I don't need to be a PR vehicle for the club. Leeds United are big enough to speak at the highest level when they feel the need to.

all the managers cellino has employed and is paying off he could have paid for a top proven manager. What a goofball he is.

True but they wouldn't have come and it wouldn't have worked. Good players make good managers. Right now out of a squad of about 25 we have no more than 7 good players and 2 of those are loaned to us. What's worse is most of the rest aren't even adequate they are carp. Cellino has been financially irresponsible though and I'm guessing he will treat the UK Customs and Excise with the same disdain as its Italian counterparts. Winding up petition to be served on us some time in 2017?

George I thought it was ok to avoid paying tax in england.

Lol Bige. Yes, you are allowed to avoid just not evade. I get the impression that Cellino doesn't pay much to his tax lawyer on the front end.

Well despite what MC has said, I'm guessing he will be onto his next manager if we lose tomorrow.

It looks like MC is going to do his own tax returns.
He has just signed up for the Ken Dodd Correspondence course.

Now look what Cellino's sons have been up to on social media. Time to go Massimo.

In fairness they were getting a fair bit of abuse and responded badly but you would have to say they were provoked not making excuses.

True enough wex. If only their father could be provoked into getting a striker on loan.

I did at one time write on a web site regarding dog behaviour .
I noticed certain other so -called behaviourists and one stood as she did this and that as well .
I also pointed out that for people to be aware of unqualified advice and pointed that only persons who are studied in the subject are in my opinion behaviourists .
The abuse from a couple of women was shocking, so I signed off the site and have never gone back to any since.
If you put yourself on social media at some stage someone will abuse you or you will say something that offends someone .

Well there might be a million reasons I'd decide I wanted MC to go, but none of them would be what his sons had written on Twitter George.

Speedyg, what if his sons wrote on Twitter they were giving Scott Wooton a 5 year deal on 90k a week and they turned down an opportunity to sign Neymar and Messi on frees on 2k a week?

{Ed001's Note - I am sure he would congratulate them on holding on to a quality young player while turning down those foreign primadonnas...... or something like that anyway.}

Our great minds do think alike BIGE. Pity our thinking has not infected Elland Road yet. - give it time. For all we know the ills of the club and for all we kick the wife, the cat, concrete walls in sheer frustration we will still support our beloved team thro thick and (too much) thin
We really are like a family. Internally we complain and moan and verbally fight to the death but just let an outsider utter one derogatory word and woe betide them.

Leeds forever leo. Cellino is a dick, but he owns lufc and can't see anyone coming up with 80 mill to buy him and gfh out. So he's our dick at the moment. Alienating him or eleonara is not going to help us. Need to work at what's best for club.
People have opinions and right to vent their frustration. Cellino needs to suck it up and do what's best. We may not agree that's life. Thing is 5 years time I will still be leeds through and through wether its in premier or championship. I can thank cellino for one thing ands that's I still have a club to support as gfh would have run us into the ground.

Good post Bige but GFH are running us into the ground. Just gradually. Admittedly if they had held on to ownership of us for another 60 days we would have been in dire bother but their current shareholding and the debt arrangements mean we are placed in a stranglehold noose until possibly 2032. Parkin has to buy them out very soon otherwise the disease which is GFH will destroy our club, just at a slow pace. Like I predicted some years ago after the Bowyer Woodgate debacle we would be cursed and ruled by an Arabic enemy in revenge. So it has proven true. Only Parkin can lift the curse otherwise in about 10 months time we can all look forward to watching Cook and Taylor playing for Manyoo. Unlike Bermo, I'd rather gamble and lose than be perpetual scaredy cats and then watch our talent go the way of Alan Smith. Yes gambling got us here thanks to PP but gambling might just get us out. We've got a good midfield going for us. If you canna find good defenders and someone who can put ball in net you might as well give up. Other less fortunate teams seem to manage and we could get crowds of close to 40000 if we get it right. Idk about you guys but I've suffered enough. It's time.

Hang in there george. What I have heard is Parkin likely to come on board. Buying gfh out would take about 30mill with debt so unless they can come up with something, maybe gfh keeping some shares can't see him buying them out completely. Need some one like Parkin to steady ship and relate to fans, pretty dire as it is.

I believe the only way forward involves long term thinking.
Firstly the appointment of the best manager (hardest part) Then the implementation of a 3 year plan. Then, dig deep and spend 2-3 mill per player to improve 5-6 positions.
With the new manager comes the commitment from MC not to interfere just let him get on with it (and take all the flak if it does not go smoothly early doors) .
First year would be assesment, bedding in. Second year expectations would then be of a strong top half finish but by year 3 everyone should be pushing for automatic promotion.
This is dependent on all parties working together and each doing his job and not someone elses but foremost would be the need for consistency, stability and perseverance. No changes midstream and no crisis management.
All this would cost the owner 30ish million and us fans 3 more waiting years.

30 mill over three years is doable but we still need to increase revenue from either sponsors or increased crowds. And get the ground back so that's 15 mill before we start. We can't carry on paying nearly 2mill a year for ER and TA.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 10:12:09
Totally agree with 92 and bw. We have not been a big club for over a decade. To invest 25 mill in summer would be a gamble. Gfh are not going unless they make a profit on their investment. We are still spending more than we bring in so work still needs to be done there. Buying 5 mill players will not guarantee us 30,000 crowds which is where we would need to be at to finance them. We need a plan that is there for all to see, no promises or soundbites. We need consistancy, get a good manager with 3 year plan and as long as we are challenging I will be happy. The players we have are not performing, these are not cellinos players they are academy, roslers and evans. Only sylvestri and berlusci are who cellino brought in but can't blame them the way the whole team performs.
We need to get ER back and decide if we keep thorpe or not. If this happens next year and we finish twelth fine. My gripe is players not performing, I have said before any system you play they should put the effort in for club and fans, not happening. that's down to players and coaches. can't blame what's happening off field for effort put in on it.
As for bridcutt, any player going public with terms on him staying at the club would get a fond farewell from me.

agree with that as soon as a player states he wants out or considering his options he can go. every player has the right to move on but once their heads and hearts go they are not playing for the shirt and better off gone. one thing I ask of from the players and that is to try and care. I want them to hurt when loseing love it when winning and leave everything on the pitch, if they can't do that then let someone else who will have a go.
