Lets be honest its not going to take much to get the fans onside. We haven't exactly been spoilt over the last few years.

Good post and very true. We haven't been spoiled in a while and two good additions would not be to much to ask. 30.000 for wolves game, two good additions and you'ld struggle to get a ticket.

ed, and leeds fans , if you had 5 million to spend , who would you bring in , and sell?

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Do any of us really know who we can sign for 5 million?

The 2 players signing will be;
Right winger- Templeton or Lawrence
Striker- Beckford or Maynard

Believable22 Unbelievable5

Would take all 4 tbh.

Agree10 Disagree0

I would go for Beckford and Templeton myself.

Templeton would be a very good buy. Full of energy and attacking quality. Lets hope we see him in a Leeds shirt

We need to take advantage of these situations, like everyonr did when we were a sinking ship.

regular reader- first time poster. just been on a stadium tour headed by John Mclelland (former player for the younger lads amongst us of the 2nd div champ winning side). Very interesting comment made by John at the start of the tour around players contracts and how they work -he said that beckford had been released on a free by leceister to got him off the wage bill. When i questioned it he said i thought it had been in the papers and looked a bit sheepish. Has anybody else heard this in the press cos i aint. not saying he's coming back and ws no inference but it was strange that big John should say it off the cufff. just like to add the tour is worth every penny just to hear John's annecdotes. Hutch MOT. {Ed013's Note - It did the rounds a few weeks ago and then Pearson came out and said Beckford is an important player for them}

Not a rumour but Warnock said we could do with a right winger and a striker got a sneaky feeling diouf could be on his way as he can operate in both positions and there would be no fee class player but still a sewer rat

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Diouf has gone to someone else

Agree5 Disagree7

He has not signed for anybody yet.

Agree1 Disagree4

Diouf hasn't signed for anybody yet

Agree1 Disagree1

What a surprise. he's not fit to wear the shirt.

Agree2 Disagree1

He's not fit to wear ANY shirt...!!

Agree1 Disagree0

I would take him warts and all. It's players like that, that get you out of this league. When i went to donny match, he was by far best player on pitch. When vinny v came to leeds, he carried the same reputation and look what he did for us.
mot4life

Agree2 Disagree0

Vinny was a different character. he played up to the "hard man" image, Diouf is just petulant scum who could never cut it.

Would put money on Norwich having a midfield of lenighan, Payne and Thompson in 5 years time with dom poleon up front

Believable10 Unbelievable9

No because they'll be in conference and we'll be premier league

My formation for next year
1-3-7
That will confuse em. Their defenders won't know what to do with themselves. In that 7 have two wingers and one GOOD striker. it's the only way we are gonna win a game with the flair and skill currently amassed How many goals have our strikers got pre season?

Believable3 Unbelievable16

OMG - will some people ever stop moaning and being pessimistic

Agree12 Disagree2

To answer your question roughly about 7-8

Agree7 Disagree0

The team has done more then exspected. The work that Sgt Warnock has done is unbelieveable, considering he's had to move on people and get in a brand new squad, with very little money. Get off the mans back and get in line behind. This is not fifa 12 or football manager, its the real world.

Gotta be ho set with yourselves
Our strikers can't score against Preston so need new ones
Cormick and beccio too wasteful. Lets get strikers that can score.
Once again huffing and puffing and working your butt off means nothing if there is a 0 after leeds

Believable5 Unbelievable23

Hi, always thought it was a team game, maybe not. Will Leeds only gets points next season if the forwards score?
Was there not a 3 after Leeds?
Such nonsence.

Agree14 Disagree2

Okay so if your willing to pull £6 million from your arse where you chat from then do it and go buy a striker that you expect to score in every single game! Rooney didnt score against Leeds at Old Trafford when he played, but I'm pretty sure they weren't thinking of selling him.
McCormack is a quality striker at this level as is Becchio

So who exactly are you wanting?
RyanMOT

Agree14 Disagree1

Mccormack cant score? really? 3rd top championship scorer last season? who do we need to get that in your opinion can score? RVP Ronaldo? benzema? behave we have the highest scoring championship player last year that didnt get promoted.

Agree8 Disagree0

An armchair comment from an armchair fan, can't even get the players names right. You don't just rely on the centre forward to score, the teams that do well are the teams that have goals in every position
BC

Agree3 Disagree0

These strikers will take league by storm again, this time with a strong back door. That was Becchio's first game since little niggle and Macc scored two peaches last week. Get your boots on and lets have a look at you. THOUGHT NOT!!

You lot will not be getting CMS unless you offer a huge amount (around £3.5 - 4mil). He loves Brighton and we have no reason to sell him.

Believable2 Unbelievable22

Good because he is div 1 standard , 11 goals in 1 season from a striker is definately not what we need ... KEEP HIM

Agree15 Disagree0

Hi, as above please keep him.
19 goals in 88 championship games, against 45 in 139 for Ross? It is a no brainer. And the price being mentioned a shocking waste of money.

Agree4 Disagree0

We will get him for around 1.5, good addition

Agree1 Disagree2

We'll get him for less than that because Poyet doesn't fall into same bracket as Sgt Warnock. so not even worthy of cleaning the sgt boots. CMS knows which side his bread is buttered on.

hi I live in Hampshire and I want to get to Leeds games, is there anyway I could get there as im only 16 and I don't know anyone who supports Leeds and my dad is too stubborn. know this isn't a rumour but he ho, any thoughts ed.

Pipey {Ed013's Note - I am sure we will get you there pal. If anyone can take this super Leeds fan on match days please send me your email and lets get this rolling. Likewise, I will need your email to put you in touch mate}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Flying from Southampton is pretty cheap if you book ahead - I do a bit of work in Ringwood in Hampshire and often do the flight - about an hour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get in touch with Wimpy on The Square Ball. He lives in Southampton and there is a supporters branch there (Hampshire Whites) that he is involved with. He goes to loads of home matches.

For a change not a comment on our beloved LUFC but I watched our Olympians with massive pride in my heart and dare I say many tears of pure joy so proud to be British.......and then team GB football shouldn't be mentioned in the dame breath how can you be so lack lustre when representing your country take a long look at the others bursting their hearts and lungs just for the honour of representing their country .......you over paid set of premadonnas is the only comment I can think of. Or is that what it takes for you lot to make an effort money?? You should be ashamed

Believable22 Unbelievable2

You talk a load of a**e mate. Those young men came together as a one off football team, that was only their 5th game together, contrary to the other teams that qualified, they have played as units for a considerable time. The fact that the GB team normally play as 4 seperate units makes it very difficult to compete in Olympic games, that's probably the only time we'll see it.
I congratulate all those in the squad and Stuart Pearce for a valiant effort and hope you ignore the ignorant comments made by some so called football fans who in my opinion are blinkered if they can't see that nearly all professional footballers are prima donnas in their own minds.

In a normal season you'd be looking for your strikers to score a goal in every 2-3 games. Pre season you'd be wanting a few more considering the opposition. Know we have striker to come, jees he better be bloody prolific cause he is gonna have to score all the goals on his own. How this bunch are gonna score against the teams in tbe champs I don't know. Get rid of em all. Not fit and injured is
girlie excuses. Earn your money all year round. I cant just be capable of doing my job a few months a year! At best
