Great result today. All the lads gave 100%. Wish I'd picked a better pub to watch it in, every time somebody ordered a pizza, the oven would trip out the electric!

Defenders make mistakes

Douglas ( otherwise superb) also made one
Cooper was almost faultless. That 2v1 he had, from s coaches point of view was text book defending.
There were a lot of good things from that game, especially the committment, the covering, the willingness to give everything.
GB himself will admit he’s not best as a CB as he did when asked to play LB but he cracks on and gives everything . Can’t ask more of a player than that.

Have faith in Bielsa. Look at some of the decisions he has made about who is in and who is out. He is looking for players with the right attitude, fitness and desire to play for this club. Berardi, ticks a lot of those boxes. He was obviously happy enough with cb choices not to make it a priority. That might change if the rest of the team is sorted. Bielsa seems to know the ones he can work with and the ones he can’t.

Cracking post Martyn. Bera is limited but he's a warrior. He only deserves praise because he is the epitome of Leeds graft and tenacity. He might not even start 20 games this season because of Pontus and we're in the market for another central defender but he's always been a trustworthy asset for Leeds with his exemplary attitude and versatility.

i do agree with commitment and passion but really just don't rate him even at RB he is limited, he always makes mistakes, always looks like he will get sent off and think many forgive him being poor because he gives his all, i love this about him but if he plays 1st team he will cost us points and that will be difference of going up or not.
i love commitment but want promotion or at least to be part of play offs and beradi in any position is not good enough over course of the season.

Today was a great day for us. Not to be a doomsayer but realistic this result can go one of two ways for us.
1.It convinces Radriazzini that the squad as it is can go and compete at the highest level in this league therefore does not invest.
2. Realises that with that extra push we can pretty much guarantee ourselves a play-off place at the very least if we can keep those kind of performances up goes out and gets those two quality players that makes the difference.
I'll say this. Cooper, Phillips, Klich, were not the same players today. They were all outstanding. I worry more about Berardi at cb tho obviously he'll be the one to drop out for Pontus.
Speaking of whom, the way he attacks the ball at set pieces. Douglas + Jansson + Cooper = 7-12 goals from set piece deliveries I think. Douglas looked just a tad shaky at the back at times but could just be settling. Ayling just superb as he almost always is.
Phillips today ran the gauntlet with the two-footer tackle. unneccessary and could have left us in the lurch with 10 men. Also at fault for the pen. Beyond that best performance I've seen from him. Seems harsh but the ref would have been within rights to give him marching orders technically speaking.
Hernandez, Saiz and alioski all put in shifts, Saiz excellent at times and Pablo asked the question of Butland.
Roofe probably the hardest working player. One point in the first half a slide tackle on Allen and fights to win a throw deep in Stoke territory. loved it. My one concern with him was he didn't seem very clinical today and that's his theme generally.
A word for Bailey looked pretty assured. I was a bit nervous when he came and headed out from edge of area but shot stopping leaves me calm with the keeper for the first time since Greeny.
I said in the past that another midfielder should be top priority and I still think we need one. However, looking at Klich contributions now I'd swap that to second with another centreback (not Pennington) top of the list.

Just got home from the match and Wow, great team display, and great atmosphere. What a player Douglas is, very unlucky for the penalty, I have always liked Roofe and his running off the ball was excellent today. The whole team played like a team. Still think we may need a couple more players in because it's a very tough long season to be playing at that tempo. off on holiday tomorrow with a smile on my face. MOT.

An excellent performance. For me 3 things stood out and I'm thinking all 3 are due to Bielsa and his coaching team.
1) Passion - all players gave 100% which was great to see.
2) Control - no complaining at the referee or other players when decisions wenthat againot them. Very focused and professional display.
3) Final third - loved the movement and one touch stuff. Very confident play. Wouldn't want to try and defend against that play.

Great performance and result, I can’t remember a game against one of the favourites to win the league look so comfortable. Even our good start last year had games where we were lucky, there was no luck today, thoroughly deserved. Bielsa looking like our best signing for years, early doors but today he has lived up to his reputation of making players play better, maybe we can start hoping for a good, consistent season, we won’t win every week but on that evidence we have a chance.

Guys. I expect by now you know I'm not from England and travel from Belfast too games. I'm hoping too come over to the forest match on the 27th October. My friends dad. ( by the way. Not a sob story ) lost his missus last year and has been a Leeds fan a very long time and due too circumstances and finance. Believe it or not has only seen our beloved team away from home over the decades.
