Well done, as long as you do the Burnley, Peterborough, Barnsley etc away as well.

If any of you were at the game on Saturday you would agree about the duck botherer, He was way out of his depth and an embarrasment The problem here is that we are being asked to accept this standard of player and shut up. It may be harsh but this guy is a pub player and should stick to GBH on ducks not wearing a leeds shirt.

Believable5 Unbelievable29

And you have deduced this from a 20 minute run out 36 hours after the man signed Sherlock?

Agree19 Disagree2

I am going to put you up for the nobel prize. Such insight into the inner man and with only a moment in time to make such well crafted comments. Harsh? I for one will expect you to skulk away in to the shadows when he gets his first rave review or scores his first goal. Perhaps Italian 4th division is more your style. FFS. TeeCee

Agree13 Disagree2

Ok let's leave Bates alone and vent out hate at Hibibou. He was on 20 mins 2 days in country.

Agree13 Disagree2

20 minutes against top of the league? Give the guy a chance!

Agree18 Disagree1

Give him a chance, he wasn't on long enough to judge him

Agree19 Disagree1

And you could judge this after just a few minutes of watching him play, WOW, what a man, you must be some sort of genius.

he did look like a sunday league player and you can't deny that. he seemed slow, and was getting beat in the air, is control was poor but maybe he will be better but he will have to improve loads to be at championship level. see what he's like after another 30 mins if no change send him packing

Agree1 Disagree4

All you habibo fans please begin to write your appologies now for backing a useless prop, yes time will tell and you will be proved wrong and it will be too late for the playoffs as warnock tries to prove a point by playing him no matter what position. He is bad at this level, this was a signing just to keep the fans at bay he is no better than nunes, rogers pugh or any of the other deadlegs we got shut of. IN WARNOCK WE MARCH BACKWARD TOGETHER.

Agree4 Disagree9

Gaz 1996, at the end of the season please write this again, and you will see how empty your comments are, habibou is poo

all i'm saying is give the lad a break, I remember seeing that hanson lad at bradford stacking shelves at my local co op2 years ago. where is he now at wembley. this habibou guy may or may not step up to the plate. but by not even leeds fans behind him the guys got no chance. look at beckford when he first came to leeds very raw.

Moan, moan, moan go join lust they do same. not every player sets the league a light on there debut 20 mins is not enough to judge a player on

Agree3 Disagree2

07 Feb 2013 08:21:44
Yh I remember beckford was sonrubbish when he first joined him and kandol looked so crap then they atarted together the following season banging un 20 each I say give the duck molester a chamce plus he looks huuuuuuge plus i'm waiting. for. my chance to start chant habib habibou to the tune of daddy cool.

Agree1 Disagree1

Forgive me for perhaps being naive, but do all you Habbibou critics honestly think that Leeds would sign a player who is not up to the standard required to help our promotion push, and that you can judge his overall quality on 15 minutes of action.
Get a grip FFS.

Agree3 Disagree1

"do all you Habbibou critics honestly think that Leeds would sign a player who is not up to the standard required to help our promotion push"

If ANYBODY is going to actually help our promotion push they need to be able to hit the ground running, not take time to settle in.

I'm all for giving him a bit of space, myself, but not much at this point of the season.

Agree3 Disagree1

The lads had 15/20 mins, hardly time to air his b******* never mind hit the ground running.

I have nothing against the current manager. We will never truly know what life was like under Mr Pastry and the deadwood he inherited was pretty dense.

I hope however that he is planning to retire and enjoy himself in the west country. With Davies heading back to Forest I hope a correspondence exists, signed by our new owners, along the lines of;

Dear Nigel. It is a crying shame the preening one at Southampton did the dirty on you but rest awaile.

Then take the remaining 3 months to watch a lot of football and assess a lot of players. You can't be guilty of tapping up when you don't work for a club.

Sort out the who and the what and when and in the meantime confirm who should stay and which kids should get some game time under their belts before next season.

Before this season ends come over for a barbecue in Wetherby and bring the new back room boys with you. Neil and his team will be there so sort out a nice handover so when the boys return for pre-training we can all be set and go for it big style next season. . . . . . . . if only. TeeCee

Believable12 Unbelievable1

And you believe NW will go along with this then, someone else picking who plays this year, kids or no kids, its like being in the twilight zone on here, keep it real.

TOO ALL LEEDS FANS! I actually believe that there is a "troll" on this site, some of the posts are ridiculous. People slating habib already? not stop moaning about GFH? erm gray, connoly, rodgers, nunez, pugh, rachukba they are all of the books hopefully for good, habib who qpr was after? warnock and morrison? I mean what do some people expect.? they are not miracle workers, and yes rome was NOT built in a day so can we stop having all the negativity and try and support that team what were they called again? oh yeah leeds. {Ed013's Note - If there was a troll we would see it and block them, I assure you these opinions are coming from people at different ends of the Country and some abroad}

Believable22 Unbelievable1

Just the ONE troll then?

Agree8 Disagree0

No troll just people not wearing rose tinted glasses. GFH have no money fact. Thye have only paid a deposit of £10m and there next instment is due in March. Bates is remaining Chairmand until they have paid in full but if they default he will take back full control. They have struggled all tbe way to get the funding to get to this stage and I worry that we could end up with Bates. Anyone expecting serious investment is deluded.

Agree2 Disagree12

Understandably many fans are sceptical about GFH, very angry with Bates, who would have seen our great club out of the FL I believe. I agree the football has been dire, frustrating for the most part. However, IMO the new owners need time and deserve time to turn things around which there are signs of this taking place for us to see. I think June, July, and August this year we will see more positive changes hopefully. It's too early to expect miracles!

LUFC always : )

welcome to leeds habibou give 100% and don't let the people grind you down. unblievable posts on here. have some of you guys actuality got a glass, because mind is half full. the guys played a full 20mins of football. no wonder crowds are dropping, if I went I could be sat next to a muppet. mot

Believable28 Unbelievable5

Mot I disagree? When you say you would be sat next to a muppet. I say you if you are at the game you would be sat next to a fan. The neigh sayers on here posting all that negative stuff have probably never watched a live game of football. they get all their info from football manager, or their mate who's got it from his mate, and so on ad infintum. FFS give the lad a chance, give the team a chance and please give yourselves the day off from moaning and criticising.

To the 2nd poster, Mot is not the 1st posters name. It means Marching On Together.

Agree2 Disagree2

To last poster, 2nd Poster here. I know what MOT means. However, if you look at his post it looks like he signed off as "mot". I don't know why people don't sign off with a name or a pseudonym. there's now't to be ashamed of.

Looks like we might need to face Wolves without McCormack, let's pray Morison is fit enough to play and we don't resort to the Duck botherer,

Early days I know but this guy is little more than a pub player, anyone who saw his 15mins of fame against Cardiff can see that this guy is not good enough and was way out of his depth at this level.

Complete waste of wages!!!

Believable5 Unbelievable29

Gzzz give the lad a break. You can't judge someone on 20 mins playing time. With suggestions like this one no wonder it's hard to attract good calibre players. Anyway poster get your boots on and let's see what your like.

Agree27 Disagree1

Wow that's harsh. You might be right but impossible to make that judgement yet. Yeboah's first few games weren't great. I remember he nearly missed that open goal against in the cup.

Agree14 Disagree1

You have judged this player on 20 min of football and considered him to be a pub player. How long do you think the professional people who signed him and know far more about the game than you do have watched him and made a considered judgement about his ability and how he can cut it in the championship. I should dare to suggest significantly longer than 20 min and over a sustained period of time

this jan window has shown me 1 thing even though we have alleged new owners we still living under old transfer policy we spent on cash signing 350k total we sold our top scoring striker and replaced him with a striker who scored 10 goals in 18 months in 57 appearances and this was his idea too warnock and our board with doing the player plus cash for becchio swap yes there was a hefty sum as well more than the rumoured 200k in late september bates and ghfc released a press statement saying both parties was upset at missing the summer window but are planning for the january window yes that planning was getting shut of our top striker signing a player whoi won't be ready for 6 month a striker who has lost the scoring ability and a defender a third left back warnock has told us many times that drury was injured or sick on monday drury said untill he was injured in the birmingham game he was only unavailable for 2 games what's going on warnock why the lies

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Alot of fans seem to forget that gfh funded are signings in the summer just gone peltier 500k, austin 300k, varney 250k, kenny 400k, add to that the new deals for diouf, mccormack, white and byram people need to be fair with the new owners and give them more time.

Agree9 Disagree4

Plus they probably don't want to risk giving Warnock too much dollar to waste. RW

Selling snodgrass and clayton and lonergan funded our summer spending just as becchio has in jan!

Agree12 Disagree5

I would have thought they would have been funded by the sale of a certain Mr. Snodgrass

Agree4 Disagree1

Morison scored 10 goals in 57 appearances for a mediocre Premier league side. let's see hom many Becchio scores after 57 games. You'll be able to knock a 0 off

Well said and a fair bit left over as well!

Agree2 Disagree0

What about half season tickets, reducing ticket prices for the games against blackpool and peterborough and also wanting to meet up with the fans they have done more than bates in 2 month than he did in years.

Agree3 Disagree0

No because when we sold snoddy bates was still in charge so he will of pocketed all that cash after that gfh took over and funded all the signings

Agree1 Disagree0

Theyve spent 30 or 40m on the club depending on what paper you read how much commitment to our club do you want. they won't get a return on their investment in the championship they've got to get us in the prem but after 7 years of neglect the team is going to take a while to get a decent side we can be proud of.

calm down he's only played 20mins, judge him at the end of the season.

Agree17 Disagree3

Have I missed some games? As far as I'm aware he only joined the club last Thursday and has only played 15 minutes of football. How can people show such hostility and negativity towards a new signing who has barely kicked a ball for the club?

Agree15 Disagree3

Habababbbouuu played for an hour in the reserves and not a lot happened, I am affraid he will only have a very short time to impress
Gj

Agree5 Disagree6

Apparently last night he did some tenacious play before making the Wigan keeper produce one hell ova save. bit unfair to slate the lad so soon isn't it?

The guy who said he was sick of Leeds fans excuses for not turning up to support the team got it right for me going to every home game is like a drug I feel physically sick if I have to miss a game I feel even sicker when I look around elland road and see empty seats. The only way you can make a change to investment in the club is to invest ourselves I thought we were like the man city and newcastles of this world who despite the division turn up week in week out my voice doesn't mean anything but the best voice I've ever heard is 30000leeds fans singing marching on together but its been quite a while since we constantly had that many. Will you be one of those fans who will only come back when we get in the prem?if you can't afford it fair enough but if you can wouldn't you wanty to say I was there even when we were a mediocre championship club. . . . suppose it depends just how much you love your club

Believable15 Unbelievable4

06 Feb 2013 06:58:00
its going to take a while for people to come back as they feel they have been ripped off by the club over the years of mr bates, yes he's gone (kind of) but fans haven't seen too much change in the transfer market.
maybe if we have a good transfer window in the summer fans will start to return . its nothing to do with the league.

Agree7 Disagree2

Some of us have to pay around £100 plus to attend the games with transport to and from and a bite or two to eat? Much as I want to get to Elland Road as often as I can, I'm not going to invest £100 of my money on every home game untill I see some of it invested back into the team.

I have to write off my transport costs, but I don't have to write off my ticket money.

So far I have still seen NO REAL SERIOUS INVESTMENT from either Bates or GFH.

When that starts to happen I might come up to Elland Road a bit more.

I would guess most of the people that go week in week out are fairly 'local' to Leeds?

Agree6 Disagree3

I've got a season ticket and live in Exeter wouldn't say that's local! Love my team with or without investment!

Agree6 Disagree0

Bates hasn't made a single leeds fan question their love of leeds united but their love of football. he has treated the fans with such contempt with his pricing and transfer policy, what has the last seven years actually been about.

I'm sad because I have 3 kids and been in Denmark for 17 years and although its not so far away, I haven't been able to attend Leeds games since I left, purely due to financial reasons, 11 years on and off the dole & having to borrow off my mum just to visit her and the carefull woman she was it was allways my air fare & food - then I went from nowt to a bartenders job - I worked every hour god sends and rose to manager, then things started to go wrong and my moods changed, as I got the news of my mum being on deaths door (she lived alone) and was found unconcious - she had had a stomach ulcer she was unaware of and it burst an artery - she sat in her chair unaware, drifted off to sleep - I got the call from my brother, I rushed over, she never woke up & died 3 days later) I inherited some money from the sale of her house & invested it in a failing Danish lunch restaurant (wasn't much money - she was unable to work for many years) I changed it last friday to an English Pub, now called The Red Lion (due to a need to brand the image of an English Pub, I needed the most common name, the building is red, the Crown wouldn't mean anything to the Danes) upstairs is the Sports Lounge, on one of the shelves in the 1730's building is a cheap clock, on that clock it says 'Leeds United is my religion, and Elland Road is my church' Armchair that I am, once you are Leeds, you are Leeds, true Leeds - I remember the rubbish crowds in 1987/8 12,000 at home to Shrewsbury - and 35,000 at home to Bradford City in the same season! I was at every play-off match that year - Doing Oldham in the play-offs, despite being absolutely played off the park, up pops Keith Edwards and through we go, on away goals lol - Charlton home & away, the play off final reply, losing the FA Cup Semi at Hillsborough, amazing times & full & proper induction into the unique army of We are Leeds fans - your heart stays Leeds forever, this is why the biggest shock of all for me, so far was the departure of Johnny Howson, how could he? Still old news now, but being Leeds is being Leeds - whether you go or not regularly as long as you stay Leeds, follow & allways have faith, allways - it's been a very long time, and as a one-time defender of Bates, there simply cannot be a single person on earth that can defend the man that infiltrated, corrupted, manipulated & tried to destroy Leeds United - now I don't think he did it on purpose, it was purely & simply because he is not 'Leeds' he could never understand what that could mean - he's ripped a massive hole in many Leeds fans hearts & some have died - I will still read every site, listen to every game I can watch every televised match & watch every interview & highlights (I can't bring myself to watch the defeats where we played appalling because the pain bears too deep in my Leeds heart) the 19000 that watched Cardiff are the hardcore, no matter what happens they will go, no point moaning at the others, there are hundreds of 1000's of Leeds hearts out there watching, reading & obsessing about Leeds. Just roll with it and let's see what happens - I still like Warnock because he can't keep his gob shut, although he's many times tactical with his choice of words in interviews, also many times he can't stop his natural thoughts, I think he's really, really trying to do the best for Leeds, but I'm really worried that he's relying on old tricks to get his team up, SG sadly was too inexperienced - where do we get experience and a Leeds heart from, that isn't Eddie Gray? I don't know what my point is - said far too much than needed, but at the end of all that, I am Leeds and I support the team and the manager as long as he is here, he's trying to turn things around - don't you think he's clever enough to know when things are not working? Peltier as CB, Bringing in Barkley, trying for Burke - remember he had many many players on his list, that must have included top quality, but he couldn't get it, he's trying to do the best he can, he's not going to deliberately play rubbish and lose on purpose - try to eradicate Bates from memory, it's just an opinion & doesn't mean I am right, but it's his fault - no hope or promise or anything from his reign, GFH need time, it's their first ever football venture, they've only owned us less than 2 months! but disharmony only makes everything much harder, when was the last time Leeds beat anyone to a signing, tons of posts about us needing a quality LB, White is crap etc, we get what may have been 5th choice on NW's original target list, but still we get an experienced former England international, he's tried to get the best he can get of what's available - try & stay together everyone - We Are Leeds
