Roumers of cook going to Bournemouth.
Yes it's around the £5mil mark but I really don't think we should sell. I don't know personally who we'd sign with the cash we'd get but it's likely they won't be able to replace him. Shouldn't be selling key players if we are serious about promotion next year. Unless of course it's stupid money. But even then We'd have to be smart when buying players :/.

If Cook went for £5m then may faith in Cellino would be severely depleted. IMO he's worth 3 times that.
I was so peed off when McCormack went but Cellino at least got a massive fee for him!
Having said that if McCormack was still here we'd probably be in the play off positions now.

There's no way cook will be going for £5 million, he's pretty good already, loads of potential and English. This is not a fire sale!

Im sure there are players out there who can replace Cook! let's be honest here , when it comes to lads who have come through, the ranks, we tend to look at them through rose tinted glasses! Bryam, Cook, Mowatt, and Taylor, are young lads, who show promise and potential without doubt, which is catching the eye of prem clubs! But its the promise and potential that's making them think of taking a gamble on them! Daft money will be offered and EVERY player has his price! Football is fickle now adays and money talks, with coming through the ranks, you would have thought, with being in the 1st team, they would want to try and help LEEDS UTD get back into the prem and win trophies! Please don't say if I was offered more money for doing my job and moving elsewherei would! Because this is totally different! like most on here I have supported LEEDS for years in my case 45! Supporters don't change sides and if I and most on here, had the chance to play for Leeds we wouldn't leave!

I think I saw on here before that some mentioned McGeady. Well it looks like he is on the move. It is a possible. Would he tick the attacking midfield bracket, as well as being able to play wide?

McGeady couldn't cross his arms, neither mind a ball.

It would appear Massimo was not worth the money he said had when he purchased Leeds United.
Now he has found a good coach at last he has to sell to buy.
Another fine mess.

Hardly Survivor. Rather the mess of an eccentric tax dodging President and selling off our crown jewels so we can reset as opposed to an Islamic bank worth as much as my daughter's garage sale on Saturdays owning us.

This is all part of the recovery process. The key is what does Cellino do here on out. He must buy the ground very soon or face the wrath of us fans. Once all that money comes in there's no excuse.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jan 2016 23:07:36
He can't buy ER as he needs the cash just to complete the cost cutting he's been doing since he arrived.
He's already lost the fans so what the heck.
Plus some money for purchases or new players.
Also GFH own 17% not the 25% they used to control.

Untouchables that don't make no sense. When you cost cut you automatically save. Therefore he shouldn't need the transfer fee income for that reason.

Are you insinuating Cellino is broke?

When you look at the signings made:

Sol Bamba (captain)
Chris Wood
Stuart Dallas
Lee Erwin
Jordan Botaka
Tom Adeyemi (on loan from Cardiff City)
Liam Bridcutt (on loan from Sunderland)

The only area we haven't strengthened is attacking midfield.

This must be the priority after a second striker?

Belusci is the best of the four central defenders we have. That doesn't mean he is great as he does make mistakes. Unfortunately for what ever reason when he does its broadcast from the roof tops even if he corrects it or it doesn't lead to a goal. I go to every game and I lose count of the mistakes that Cooper and Bamba make and rarely do they concede less than two. It was only one against the Dons but that was a combination of good luck and Silvestre. Cooper is just about ok with Belusci with him to help the problem of the opposition not going through the aerial route. Bamba and Cooper are hopeless when the opposition keep the ball on the deck and press them. On that analysis we probably need two centre halves. We could get away with one if we could introduce a CH with the ball skills and know how of Belusci (who would have to go if that was to happen as we need a Cooper type as well) but without the mistakes and rushes of blood. Remember though Belusci plus one other have conceded less than half the goals that Cooper and Bamba have. - Usually just one or clean sheet per game over the 12 month period. If we are going to press on this season we therefore need at least one CH and an in the box goal scorer. We already have Bridcutt. Grealish would be nice as well but I can't see it happening. At the moment defence is priority as we are not creating enough chances and not converting enough when we do. As that will take time to sort out starting from the back seems a sensible option.

Seems like a mini overhaul is on the cards this January.

I can see Antenucci moving due to his age and the wages he is probably on (I understand he is a top earner at the club) , minimal fee expected.

If we recieve 4-5mil for Belusci, I can see him move on.

Byram is probably a shoe in for moving, with more and more mid-prem sides showing interest.

Cook may leave, but mainly due to his contract length. does it run out this summer? althoughI think he has his head a little more screwed on and wan5ts games under his belt.

Erwin, isn't going to get a decent chance and whether he is cut out for this level is questionable.

Sloth may move to get some game time.

So if we do manage to bring 3 players in (Bridcutt already signed, so that 2 more0 we are going to have little depth for the remainder of the season.

Rumours on positions coming in: Striker, Winger and Goalie. But we will need to bring a defender in Bellusci leaves.

We need a central defender anyway d. s. If Bellusci departs we will need 2. Otherwise a fairly accurate account by you.

We can rule out Stokes. Officially that is what has just occurred. Tends to bring Laffy and Grab into focus imo.

To answer a poster's question about the mysterious winger in the PL we apparently bid for and we will have a response from the club he plays for later today I believe the answer is:

Alexis Sanchez
Eden Hazard
Just Mata
Memphis Depay
Nacer Chadli

But seriously now: I think Jack Grealish is more likely to join in loan, along with Adama Traore. Southhampton have a lot of young wingers on their books who are not out on loan so I bet it's someone like Lloyd Isgrove, Sam Gallagher, Jake Sinclair,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Jan 2016 12:40:38
Adama Traore is already a loanee (Barcelona to AVFC)

I like the idea of Grealish, but think Gnarby is an option.

The southapton guys, not so sure about.

I would like to correct myself, Traore is a permanent signing.

{Ed001's Note - Sam Gallagher has just been recalled by the Saints, he was on loan at Franchise FC Dons.}

It's all getting too much, far to many rumours, my heads going into melt down imagining how some, all, none of these players are going to fit in. Woods in woods out, Lafferty and woods, or crouch, or crouch and Lafferty or grabbon and woods or Lafferty with Dallas and grealish or botaka.
Roll on February.

I'm lost with all these stories (latest one Cook done deal with Boremouth only 5m as MC needs to cash in before he is banned) I mean come on that is just not really a story.

Love all these figs mind 5m for Bellusci no don't think so, may go but not for 5m.

I just want to see what SB does go for in the end, I have seen figs from a "cheeky" bid 2m - 10m in various stories, think i'm going to stop reading them. OK maybe not then.

SB for 6m is my only prediction.
