Hi Ed apart from Hockaday and Gary Mac who is the Third man if it ain't Houghton? lol please don't tell me its Harry Lime?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - Lucas the kop cat ;-) OK then, Steve Clarke is who I heard}

Ok cheers Ed I was hoping it would be Mackay. Wouldn't mind Gary Mac back though MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I also heard that Nigel Gibbs has also been considered for the job}}

Eammon Dolan, 3/1 2nd fav?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gibbs should go up to MC & say "one game one win, 5 goals, nuff said"
Deserves a shot @ it IMO

Hmmm keep seeing Steve Clarke mentioned, forgive me if I am wrong, but he ain't even in the frame. Hockaday. Gary Mac and Hughton are the three interviewees according to press reports.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah, according to press reports, wouldn't suprise me if others weren't involved though, maybe someone who hasn't been mentioned yet, or way down in the betting, Leeds is a big job and will need a ig coach to fill it.

It's going to happen isn't it
Hockaday . I just don't get it

Agree0 Disagree0

"It's going to happen isn't it
Hockaday . I just don't get it"

Probably the cheapest option.?

Agree0 Disagree0

Have a feeling you may be right SLUFC, why would Cellino be reportedly furious at Hockadays name getting out unless he was in his plans. I fear he who must not be named may have gone out on a high with this one

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it does seem a little strange how would MC even know who Hockaday is? i'd never heard of him before a week ago MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

The 3 British managers meeting Cellino tomorrow are:Chris Hughton, Dave Hockaday and Gary McAllister.

Phil Hay says Hughton is not the third one

it looks like next week is going to be quite a week for leeds with hopefully positive outcomes.1)we should find out who our new coach is going to be. 2)the winding up order will be dealt with, 3)We will find out if the Dubai fraud has any impact once winding up order sorted.4)late wages should be paid, 5)the sale for Cagliari should have been compleded, 6)based on this sale being completed we will find out which if any members of Cagliari staff were part of deal and move to leeds.7)new coach and Massimo decide who of remaining squad to be transfer listed, which will give us ideas where they intend to strengthen, or introduce young blood.8)remote but possibilities of free agents being targeted.9)then just a matter of waiting for transfer window to open, but at least we have minor distraction of world cup starting.Let the roller coaster begin.

I have but what I mean is we need a manager not a coach who has to work with players cellino decides to bring in I bet this COACH. Doesn't last long whoever he is

Can't believe I'm hearing hoddles name mentioned! Bloke is a fruit cake! Has not managed over here for 10 years and I bet he would demand a huge salary. Not what we need. I would give Gary Mac a go but still not my first choice. Would love Steve Clarke, top coach

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree mate hoddle is a clown! When you hear him talk on ssn he seems clueless and out of touch with the modern game

Gary McAllister, Steve Clarke & Chris Hughton (if the rumours are to be believed).
Where's the 'D'?

One thing that we have not heard from MC is what kind of money the new manager sorry coach will be given to spend or is that for MC to spend on the players he wants for the coach to coach

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Jun 2014 20:39:39
MC will know how much money he intends to give himself for incoming transfers. My guess is it won't exceed 7 million.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2014 22:33:45
7 million! Look at derby and what they have done on a lot less than that. I can't see us getting any where near that

Leeds to appoint Chris houghton as manager before the weekend MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really? Thought Cellino wanted a head coach not a manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

MC doesn't want a manager, he wants a COACH.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2014 17:26:19
I wish Massimo would just take a step back and let the new manager who ever its going to be have a little bit more of a say, I can't see the team being much stronger than what it is now because he has no exsperiance with English football get malkay in and let him do things how he wants!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you not read the posts or the news?
He don't want a manager he wants a coach!
He said BMD was a good manager.

HE WANTS A COACH

No head coach announced yet so no thunder Currently bring stolen

Don't think Ryan has been keeping abreast of recent events!

just renewed my gold membership and iy states you recive a free 2014/15 gold away shirt. checked on the superstore and that's the only replica shirt available but still has ENTERPRISE INSURANCE on the front of it. does this mean were stuck with it for another season?

Gary Macallister would be awesome to have him back as manager, he never got a chance when Bates was owner IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to agree that macca was not given a chance under bates but if I had to choose between Gary and Clarke I think Clarke could be a better coach as he was at the forefront of the Chelsea side and although they had the big names it's about the way they play football and I don't buy into the chelae bit as we did wise and bates after all he is a Geordie

Agree0 Disagree0

Have been checking site to renew for the last few weeks, membership for next season was not on sale. I was going to post if anyone knew when it would be, it was not available on Wednesday, I will try again .

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets Hope not! but we normally play the last game of the season in the new strip
I have a horrid feeling we are stuck with Enterpwise for another year Eds what do you say?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - To be honest I am not sure, it depends on the contract and whether they can settle their differences}

Don't think any of the last 4 managers really got a chance did they?

Malaga loanee Bart powlouski( forgive the spelling) is available from his parent club for around £650,000, young quick very skillfull winger/attacking midfield could be a good player for us in my opinion. Well worth a punt.

I think Hockaday was favourite until it got out, if it was him that leaked it then MC might feel he cannot trust him. Leaving the door open for Gary Mac as coach and Nicola Salerno as director of football. His current role with Cagliari.

The sooner it is sorted the better to get some new talent in for next season.

I could be wrong but it looks like it maybe Gary Mac, In my opinion I would prefer Malky.

Adam Pope reporting Gary Mac is one of the coaches Cellino is meeting tomorrow. i'd happily have him back. We played some great football under him. Granted our defence was awful at times but he was looking to sign defenders just before he was sacked. Also brought us Snoddy and Becchio whilst giving Howson and Delph a step up to the first time. Maybe he would suit the job with a sporting director working with him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Of course I would like to see a major signing for coach but I would also be happy with Gary Mc he knows what LUFC is all about think with some decent signings he could do well.

But no matter who it is I will give 100% support for the guy. No point bitchin and moaning it is what it is and bitchin won't change it.

I've heard Steve Clarke is one of the 3 that Cellino is meeting with tomorrow.

For the style of coaching system MC appears to want to introduce and with his vector set only on English which surely has to mean British I'd say Glenn Hoddle is the correct choice. However, if money wasn't an issue, British not a criteria and a certain north east club relegated from the PL, Gus Poyet all day long. One day. Go for Hoddle MC. He will attract a better class of player too.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sunderland did not get relegated and Hoddle is English.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2014 08:27:57
I agree that Hoddle would be great as a coach. He plays attractive football, seems to have shaken off his 'weird' side and is a big enough name to help attract good quality players. The only question is whether he would be comfortable working in the purely coaching role on offer at LUFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's HODDLE for me any day.
