With McDermott wanting to bring in at least 7 he must be wanting to move at least another 5 or 6 out not including the 10 he has already released due to the fact he seems to want to blood some of the youth next season!

Therefore players that could be on the way out must include:

Brown
Tonge
Norris
Varney
Ashdown
Hall

I grant you Hall has not been given a chance and Varney and Ashdown have done ok in parts but if we are honest they are decent squad players at best!

Maybe if Howson and co have a word with Delia shebmay take them all as a job lot!

BM stated that no-one else would be put on transfer list. That's not to say, of course, that if offers come in they wouldn't be accepted.

As for players coming in he said he had given the owners a list of 6 or 7 players, it could be that he only expects to get 3 or 4 of his targets.

He didn't say at least seven he's just looking at seven. Probably only sign 3-4 maybe 5 at tops

Why Varney, he's worked his backside off since he's come back into the squad, Ashdown does a job when he goes between the sticks and can be just as good as Kenny, Brown has to be the first departure

i think brown will be found a new club and basically given away just to get him off the books, norris will probably be off as well anyone else will be because offers come in.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate here, can I make it clear first I don't actually want Byram to go.

If Man City came in, offered £10m for Byram, he was sold and replaced with Lichaj on a free then we used the £10m plus investment from GFH to buy Shackell and Austin from Burnley as well as Burke, Thomas and McGugan, would you take that?

I'd rather have Adomah, Gayle, Pearce, McGugan and Sako. But yes, definitely

No I would not I'm afraid, for one season if the top boys at LUFC want a proper push for promotion and also keep fans on side we need to keep on to the likes of byram and poleon the future of leeds, plus get that luxury other clubs. but not us have had for past 10 years. INVESTMENT! would be nice to spend without selling for one season.

Could anyone replace Byram? he's the best all-round right sided player in the league. sure we could buy 3 or 4 average guys with his fee, but that will keep us just that. average.

There really is no pleasing people. I can't think of any better in both positions. Zaha best winger, but not defensive and no longer in the league. a better right back? sure you have an answer.

Byram is still mostly talent! History is full of players making strong impact their first season, but failing to show further development and stability! I'd love to keep all our key players - but would take ten millions if they were all made available for the gaffer to strengthen team!

Byram has made the least amout of passes out of all our defender and he's gave 5 pens away hardley gr8. a better rb would b jara reyes from westbrom on loan to forest much better and a teamplayer unlike byram

Gary Mackay Steven could replace him, we shelled out at least £2 million for him. I also think Ian Viguirs at Ross County has a lot of flair, and he is out of contract with them in the summer. He might be worth a look at.
