Rules state pro players can't bet on any competition which the player has been involved in, that be championship, FA Cup or League Cup in Blackstocks instance
This could quite easily be just a wager on an FA Cup fixture
The league are quite strict

And so it begins. Cellino balancing importing players from calico against devaluing its sale price. I wonder if lee Peltier likes Sardinia.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats a textile innit calico?, never mind if you mean Cagliari can't see more than one possibly two coming

Kaspars Gorkšs and Jobi McAnuff's contracts are up this summer. Both have previously played under McDermott. Possible?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Highly likely if Brian remains at the club and Massimo let's him loose with the transfer budget

Agree0 Disagree0

I`d rather get Mcleary

Agree0 Disagree0

Both were good players but we have seen what happens with Brian's mates but mcanuff can be quality on his day

Agree0 Disagree0

About to post same thing. Would certainly take Gorkss. He better than Lees. Think we need something better than Jobi and he's not much better than what we already have but Gorkss would be a decent addition.

Agree0 Disagree0

George- apart from Stewart who do we have already?

Agree0 Disagree0

Peter mcanuff is 32 so I got to assume his days as a pacey winger are limited leaving us to play him in the center (he has played there before) where we have brown Tonge Austin. On second thought he would improve the squad. Obviously I'd take Gorkss in a heartbeat but I am hoping for someone young very fast who can beat a defender cross dribble and cut inside to shoot someone like Max on at least 1 wing. Do I ask that much?

Hi ed, just wondering if you have any news on what will happen with Morison? Is he OOC or will we likely move him on for a bit of cash? Also who do you think we will sell on? Not the OOC ones mind just wondering how much we may be getting in additional transfer funds.

Thanks

{Ed013's Note - I imagine he will be sold unless a new manager comes in and gives him a second chance. He is settled down south and now Millwall are safe he would prefer a move there}

I would rather him than hunt or varney. What I do not understand is, why has morison not been sold if he is not wanted. He was still a highly rated striker this time last year he would have fetched at least 750,000.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he would be a decent squad player, shame it didn't quite work out. Thanks ed

{Ed013's Note - No worries}

S lufc44:

If Morison could have fetched 750k then 1) he would have been sold not loaned out
2)that would have meant a massive loss

If McD stays, as I think is likely, all carping and whinging must stop, as if in a Stalinist totalitarian state. We demand total loyalty to our leader.Any moaners will be kicked in the gulags. Capiche!

I wonder how much attention does BMD give to the Opta stats that he gets. Surely the way forward is to look for solid leader type players as the spine in the team balanced out with young hard working pacy players that will cover great areas of the pitch. As we stand I feel our team is similar to the Hammers in the Premiership, will always be in the bottom half of the league looking over our shoulder at the big drop while we continue to play hoofball.

Dr T
I've been saying that on ere for the last few weeks, I've probably upset 1 or 2 but the negativity gets my back up.
Let's get behind whoever takes to the pitch whether it be a youth player getting his first chance or Stewart.

ENCOURAGE ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

I've been loyal home and away as much as possible this season, I'm willing to give him a chance next season with a balanced squad that has a bit of quality, but he will need to hit the floor running, because this seasons football has been absolutely shocking and the manner of some of the defeats are hard to erase from my memory, I tell you now if we start losing at home in the same manner next season the fans won't stand for it.

Agree0 Disagree0

A key thing to remember is that it might not take many additional players, plus existing ones to find form to completely change things round. If Ross doesn't play, we all think the team can't play- that's how much difference one player can make- so just a couple of extra players who are good enough can make a huge difference. Also, note Ross played 19 games without scoring and loads of people said he was useless- now look at his worth to the team. So, with a proper pre season, maybe Stewart or Hunt could be different players, similarly, Murphy and Smith are improving no end- as are Byram and Mowatt- so maybe, just maybe, we don't need a whole new team, just a few key signings and for some continuity and confidence from a good pre season and start to the new season. positive is the way!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good reply drummist, I think we just need a CB, CM (Scott Parker please) a left winger a spare goalkeeper given our GK situation and an extra striker, think Stewart needs some game time and confidence, Pearce, byram warnock and kenny are good enough for me, as obviously are our strikers who I'm looking forward to seeing the partnership blossom. Murphy will come good brown deservs an extra year and we will see on our young lads!

Harte
I love Parker and think he's been a very good player but don't think he's got the legs for 90minsanymore, if ONLY we could take a few years off him and Brown ;(

Agree0 Disagree0

Very true, especially in a very busy championship season. However between them should easily manage but them again it's a guarenteed sub every game I suppose. We could just tie them together between 4 old legs they should manage lol
