All very good lads but didn't Newcastle play Cardiff, therefore insert "Bluebirds" into this jovial banter session.

I don't normally agree with Noel Whelan but I do on this point. If we are to continue to progress we need another striker in January. - A striker who can lead the line but also a natural goal scorer. We need someone to come in and also gel with the squad. Wood has improved a lot and is benefitting from the service he is getting. He still misses a lot but he is getting better. Another striker would give us more strength in depth. There seems to be a better spirit in the squad and keeping that is a priority. In addition we need to get our three best loanees signed up Jannson, Bartley and Sacko at the latest point possible without risking losing them. I don't mind Mowatt getting a new contract although he isn't playing that well. He could go out on loan and with a contract we would be in a better position should Leeds want to sell him later if he doesn't improve. I Never really trusted compensation schemes. All in all things are looking. Doukara is a bonus too. Sacko at the moment probably is more effective coming on for the last 20/25 minutes when opposition defences are tiring a bit. Looking forward to the Newcastle game with more confidence than before but like Norwich anything better than a loss would be ok.

Sacko reminds me of the role and impact Mad Max had when he first joined the club on loan I recall. With Doukara fitter and better and Dallas to return you don't mind seeing Sacko enter the field after 65 minutes but you certainly do if you are the opposition. As for striker, even if he is to warm the bench and come on last 15 minutes before he grows somewhere in the team (just nowhere for him right now but he is going to be needed to take pressure of the New Zealand Batistuta) then it'll be worth it because it's more end product, goals and points. Rhodes, Wells, Fletcher must be considered. If we get one of those guys we will be too much for anyone in this league and could even threaten 2nd place.

The Douk is a good sub in my opinion although he earned a start against Norwich. I rate the Woodmeister but he sometimes needs half a dozen chances to find the onion bag and in tight games could be the difference between a draw and a sneaky win. I think players like Murray at Brighton and Fletcher at Wendies would have been good signings for us - not for the long term future but just to score our way out of this league with the chances we are creating. Wood is young and will only improve so I haven't changed my opinion of him, just thinking about this season. If there's any truth in the Defoe rumour, that would guarantee us an automatic in my opinion but I think this is just click bait for poor websites and maybe even Peter Crouch but I doubt we'd pay their wages. However, if we're still top six in January and the FA haven't decided to bring back hanging for Cellino's bung case, then who knows. I think we are one big signing from promotion. MM.

Monk has turned the corner and we are on the up, why do we/you need to listen to Ex Leeds Players who have no idea whatsoever is going on inside Monk's head/mind? It would seem there are many 'ex' Leeds players/managers/whatever pushing their opinions out onto the net (and probably being paid to do so) I have been following the Leeds rumours Now site for a while now, but it seems it is just totally full of has-beens, dreamers and others who just keep re-posting what is in the media anyway?

Noel Whelan is Leeds through and through and works for Yorkshire Radio or whoever covering games so will have a lot of opinions on the team - he gets paid for it. Agree that there are a lot of ex-players and has beens trying to earn a few quid or get a bit of limelight by adding their two penneth in various forms of media. There'll always be hangers on, that's football. MM.

MM You are so right. We are just one signing (a striker) away from promotion. My pick is Rhodes. Who is yours? I see you mention Defoe. He would be ideal also.

Rhodes would be a quality signing George. I'd like to see Defoe but doubt we could afford him or they'd let him leave as he's the only one scoring. We were interested in Crouch last year so maybe he could be within our budget. Would like to see him 'roboting' in front of the Geldered End. MM.

Stafford We need another one bro. Dips in form suspension injury tactics and tiredness and scaring opposition from bench just 6 good reasons. I'm with MM on this especially when it comes to his SIL.

Well. I've been thinking for a while that it might be the case. But I now know that's its definitely true. I'm in love with Pontus. Is there a cure?

Berm will be upset or will he? Maybe the merchandise shop will develop and sell Pontus cardboard cut outs enabling you and Berm to have a threesome with your favourite player. Something of an incongruity given the protection Pontus provides at the back.

(Ignoring George) . On a serious note Lucas, he just sums up everything that is great about the club at the moment, he's just perfection on and off the field, and even on his social media account. When he jumped into the crowd yesterday after scoring, it just illustrated the progress the Monky has made with the attitude of the team, from the low point of NR's 'sick 6' ( or was it 5? ).

I'm not claiming Pontus is necessarily the best player, but in my humble opinion if we tie him down to a permanent contract it will be the best piece of business done in at least a decade.

Just watching mots with moyes on his touch line ban sitting in the stands. Why's that a punishment? Most other stadium sports the gaffer sits in the stands because they get a better view of the game. Rugby, union and league being the best example.

Lucas. I've never been able to understand how coaches and magagers can see what's going on from the touch line. I know whenever I go to a game I like to sit at least halfway up to get a decent view.
