Why are so many people getting excited about the youth team at the moment? Because all they are is potential and nothing more. Remember years back when Leeds youths beat Manchester United youths in final and everyone thought here we go. Pretty sure only Whelan and Mike Ford made it to first team. (memory dodgy at best though, especially after a few). So please let's not get too excited now. Poleon hardly set sheffield or bury on fire and some posters annoyed he's not starting. Unbelieveable I say! Never seen these kids play but still say should be in 1st team! By the way that man u team whom we beat quite easily over 2 legs produced I think 7 senior pros. But c'mon let's look on the brightside and think we can bring proper players through agian. MOT.

Brown banned for two games, that means we will get enough points to be safe before he comes back :o)

Believable20 Unbelievable2

Should be banned from playing in a Leeds shirt forever.

Agree15 Disagree1

Don't care how or why he got banned but glad he is banned!

Brown plays - Leeds lose

Brown out - Leeds win

Wake up! How hard is it to understand, get rid off?

No wonder he wants to extend his contract, no other team will want the liability.

Agree8 Disagree1

Like against huddersfield and Derby when Brown played.

Oh no sorry no he didn't play did he. But we still lost.

At least brown gives 100% even if he isn't a star midfielder.

He runs his socks off and works with what he has got. As opposed to people like tonge that have clear ability and are lazy negative and poor.

I would rather have a tryer than a guy who wastes his talent!

Agree6 Disagree6

No mate he just runs around kicking people cause he can't get there anymore. Mot without brown.

Agree3 Disagree4

"At least brown gives 100%"

Like he's going to do in the next two games then?

No point in giving 100% if you aren't actually on the pitch most of the time?

May not be the case. The ads you see are based on your cookies. I get ads for guitars and the like. You must spend a lot of your internet time browsing sites with pictures of young ladies. Quite right too.

A message to GFH.
If you want to capitalise on your investment, you should appoint the new manager NOW. We're heading nowhere fast and we need to stop the rot. All the fans are asking for is a strong manager who can motivate players to give their all.

Failure to act now will have dire consequences, we will slip back to League One and nobody will want to manage us. These next five games are crucial so please show that you have the club's best interests at heart.
Thank you. MOT Ron.

We have given the goals to norwich, if you can't score many goals there could be trouble.

Very naive comment is that, "we're too big to go down"! The last time I heard someone say that when talking about Leeds United we were relegated from the Prem and things have been pretty awful since.

We are not safe yet IMO.

Whoever wrote this obviously hasn't supported Leeds for more than 10 minutes!

As the saying goes 'anything can happen in the next ten minutes" and usually does.

NO WAY are Leeds safe yet!

Agree4 Disagree0

Were too big to go down. I think that is just wishful thinking. We were a big club when we had great players like Bremner Giles Gray Clarke Charlton or Batty Strachen Speed Mccalister. A great manager as in Revie. Wilkinson also did us proud. Now we have Brown Green Tongue Pearce and Morrison oh I forgot Varney Too big to go down you must be joking with this lot of crap to rely on we are in big big trouble.

everything in consideration, do we really want matteo. I love the bloke and he's an absolute legend with us fans. I hear he scored a good goal at the san siro a little while back? but he has no managerial expereince whatsoever and would he really want to tarnish his glowing reputation with us fans. I'd definitely take him as mcdermott number 2 though!

The manager is not the issue, the problem is the available capital. While many managers would love to manage such a big club with amazing potential, only the desperate would sign up to the current arrangement. One thing Leeds does not need is a desperate manager with lots of excuses, we need a strong manager who can manage upwards as well as the players. Someone who can rebuild a squad of 25 and not make three good purchases and back fill with crap. Ladies and gents, to build a club and squad which could be in the play-offs in their own right rather than being there because the other clubs are rubbish, will take two years of steady investment (not throwing £10 mil in one go) over two seasons, starting now. Leeds Leeds Leeds

Believable10 Unbelievable3

I agree to some extent, the manager is not the major issue at present. It simply rests with the ownership of the club. For the past decade all we have attracted are leaches, desperate to suck a profit from the good name of our club. They see the potential and hope to cash in. However no profit will ever be made if no investment is made in the squad. Last time I looked all of the seats in Elland Road faced that green square thing in the middle. If there is nothing worth watching on it, then fans will leave, and League One mediocrity is a real possibility. I can't understand why a serious investor hasn't come forward. It was shown in a study last week that with promotion Leeds would be worth £175 million. GFH want the profit but they don't want to spend in order to accumulate. It's a redundant model as proven by Bates. God knows when this will end and we can fall in love with our club again. (Just ripped up season ticket renawal form after following Leeds from Champions League to League One and back again)

Agree6 Disagree0

We need to appoint the next manager now! That way he gets time to assess the currrent suad and set out his plans (and costs) to GFH ready for the summer.
Warnock did his best with what he was given (£). However I am very dsappointed with the way he threw in the towel in january and started with his negative campaign -"i can go anytime etc" that's the last thing we needed and for me unforgiveable, up to then I believe he did all he could but was shafted in January by GFH who decided not to back him any further as he started his negatives. Now we need the next man in fast -McDermot for me, preferably this week!

This could be turning into a horrible relegation battle now, how many points can you see us actually getting from out last games, Wednesday, Burnley, Birmingham, Brighton and Watford? Honestly I can see 4 points at the very most. Things could go bad quickly!

Believable9 Unbelievable0

4 points will be enough to stop up Bristol already down Blackburn like us in free fall Posh drawing to much Udders hit and miss Wolves had there good patch Boro on 55 pts in ninth down to Posh second from bottom on 47pts a lot of teams in mire I say if we get a good result on sat everything will look brighter.

I think after yesterday's performance we clearly need to bring the new manager in this week call it panicking but elland rd was a fortress before Xmas now it's a bloody oxo cube GFH you let snodgrass go because of your delayed takeover then you sell becchio rather than invest in the squad for once do something good for our club stop playing with it like its a toy and bring in a manager that not only the fans can believe in but the players too otherwise we will end up at Yeovil again and your 20 mill will be worth 20 quid

Believable10 Unbelievable1

"then you sell becchio"

Er, did I miss something here?

We actually GAVE Becchio away for something called a Morrison (thought it was a supermarket) and a few thousand pounds, the word 'SELL' never came into the equation.

All gone tits up since that happened, well done Colin.

Our form is pretty dire at the minute and the team is made up of a dreadful bunch of ageing cloggers, just as some of us predicted would happen when Warnock was appointed (I wonder where all those who've been abusing me for the past 14 months are now?) but let's not panic about relegation. Leicester went down in 2007/08 with 52 points but that was a freak occurrence. 40, 42, 47, 46 have been the points tally for the 22nd placed team in recent years and 51 points has been enough in every other season for a decade. There are some even worse teams below us and even though I can't see where the next point is coming from I think we'll make it. Having said that, GFH need to get it right with their next appointment and find some serious cash because I really fear for us next season unless they do.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Make no mistake, our current number of points is not enough to keep us in the division. i'm seriously worried now!

Agree2 Disagree2

5 points in 4 games isn't easy for the teams below us especially since some of them have to play each other over the next few games, Wolves and Huddersfield, Charlton and Barnsley on Saturday for instance. History suggests 52 points will almost certainly be enough and no team in recent years has gone down with 53. The league is tight this year so it could happen but it probably won't. 2 points from 5 games should definitely be enough but we could, conceivably, lose all 5 and still stay up.

Agree0 Disagree0

"5 points in 4 games isn't easy for the teams below us"

Right now those teams below us are fighting for survival, we are sitting here complacent and doing nothing.

We have to play some higher position teams now and most of those below us don't.

How many points exactly did we get in our last 4 games then?

Agree0 Disagree2

Surely the fact that they are near the bottom too means that they too have to play higher teams.

As there are more teams above them and us than there are below them and us

Message to players, stop tweeting each other bigging yourselves up and start showing you want to at least stay as average championship players. you won't pick up the same wage in div one. it seems all your interested in is your weekly wage and maintaining your high profiles. no team is too good to go down and you are certainly not too good.
We fans will be here for ever, most of you won't be. show some passion, show some quality and make us proud again as at the moment to be frank, your embarrassing. shrew leeds {Ed013's Note - Hear Hear, 1 in particular never replies to fans, Ey ROSS! Havent played good footaball since. o'leary! All want youth to play like they did for. o'leary! Before o'leary spent we had the best team we've had since revie! let's go back to him or poyet! (Child of the 90's)

Believable2 Unbelievable0

We played some great football under Grayson. The defence was a bit iffy but we had a premiership quality passing midfield even in league one which is why several of Grayson's team are now playing in the premiership.

Some people have short memories.

Agree1 Disagree1

Get real and forget the past -we also played some real crap -little has changed. The greedy players who left would pobably have left whoever was the manager, in reality we have only lost one good player -Snodgrass -the others were very average and replaceable from our excellent youth team. We need quality management real financial support from GFH and we will be successful again.
