We all know Cellino is a business man and is quite sharp.

Yes he put some money in to get us stable, but he will make a profit when he sells. The assets in the club are the players.
So the question is how much can he make selling the Club and how many young players will still be here.

What has Cellino spent in total in purchasing the Club?

McCormack sale £11m (never bought the ground so have to assume its in the Bank)

I can see the best of the youth players being sold (Byram £8m, + the rest another £15 for the younger players )

Player sales potential £34m plus the sale of the club. maybe £60m (total £94m) or

Keep the club and players, reach the Premiership and the young players will double in value in 2 years.

Its anyones guess but I expect him to sell especially if the Italian courts go against him and it is another ban for a year

More or less agree, and whatever your thoughts are about MC, I still believe he stepped in and rescued us from much deeper do do than we are in now. I am sure he never planned this to be a short term venture but with all the behind the scenes mess he inherited, and the FL on his back, I for one don't blame him for deciding he's had enough. And, regrettable, I think several of the youngsters are going to go. Realistically that was probably inevitable.
What's going to be important is that we get decent money for any of them who go, and get someone taking over who has serious cash to move us forward.
Jury's out on Redders imo - but that's irrelevant because all the signs are that there is no chance he will be here next season. There are clearly people in the background, (presumably the potential new owners) pulling the strings. I can't see Redders featuring in their plans

Anyone think Daniel Johnson would be a good signing from Preston? Not been tested at championship but when seen him play he's always attack minded n pretty decent on the ball nj chips in with a few goals.

He probably would be good, however Preston are coming up and who in their right mind would join Leeds right now. 3 managers in a season, no apparent management structure, club for sale / not for sale.

I think it's obvious the sale of the club is already in motion, salerno has gone according to reports so cellino won't be far behind. Imo red bull are the buyers and cellino has most likely been talking to liverpool about byram to reclaim some of his investment, 8 milllion is good business imo and cook is the main man, he's got to stay.

Yep, In my opinion Cellino was only ever there to straighten out the books and get the club stable after GFH/KB made such a mess, a spring board if you like for RedBull to build on as RedBull could not be seen to its shareholders to be buying a money loosing club.
Remember that RedBull were sniffing around long before Cellino came in.

8 million for Byram would be far too low. If he is sold and I hope not, he is worth far more than Ross McCormack.

Until capped by country and playing in PL for a defender he is worth 8 to 10 bracket. Once he fulfills both these requirements and he maintains good form he will be worth double. If he starts scoring goals at PL level as well he will be worth toward 30m. So for right now correct eval.

Are we out of debt yet ed? Because if we are, for years we have being saying surely a big company would want leeds if it wasn't for he debts and stadium etc, would now be the time? I don't mean red bull just in general wouldn't we now have a lot more potential suitors? PS anyone have any work going in halifax area? (Sorry but I'm pretty desperate )

the best thing celino has done is probably bring the best away kit in years. also why does everyone still think we are in debt? i'm pretty sure we are cleared of debt are we not?

I am somewhat aghast at some of the posts on here following the Easter results.
I believe I live in the real world and that tells me that we are a little way off being credible promotion material but not a millions miles.
The youth are our future be it as players or income and we need to keep bringing them through. I felt Phillips did ok yesterday, it was not his fault he did not get substituted and it was his first game! It seems some people want instant stars. Give the kid a break.
These last 5 games should be used to blood Dawson, Walters, Del Fabro and Phillips as there is nothing on them. I would rather see them making mistakes and learning in nothing games.

Redders is a bit puzzling to me. Fantastic he gives the kids a go, but his poor use of the bench is worrying.
The one area we are decent in is the midfield and that is because there has been relative stability, that cannot be said for our attack our defence.
Wootton is woeful, never a right back, caught out again for their first goal and never a threat going forward which in my opinion does not help Byram.
Cooper and Bellusci are as bad as each other so let's see what Del Fabro can do.

Morison, Sharp and Cani should all go at the end of the season and we should invest in a striker who has pace.
Also get Ajose back from Crewe and give him a run.

We are no further on from this time last year but most of the deadwood has gone. Cook, Taylor, Mowatt, Byram and Phillips have come to the fore. Silvestri is the best keeper we have had in years. Bamba, Beradi and Antenucci are decent. So there is hope we just need a bit of time. Keep the faith MOT

Agree with most of that but Phillips, Dawson and Walters are not first team yet. I watch a lot of academy games. Phillips is good lot of potential. Dawson very gifted but lightweight. Walters is average.Think there are other players who should be around first team who will have more to offer at this stage. The young ones would benefit from being loaned out for a couple of months next season before being brought into first team. Phillips will get there quickest but they are all midfield and we are not short in that department.Should be giving games to Fabro and Montengro. What can Cani do, guess we will never know. We know what the young ones can do but a lot of the loanees we don't have a clue about. Others just been ignored.

If red bull got us back to the premier league and kept us there then they could call us what they want the stadium what they want even put red bull all over our kit and I wouldn't care atleast you'd be watching premier league football. Anyway we'd still know us as Leeds United and elland road.

I think for the next game we have to make some changes and with all games now being a dead rubber I think it's time to try something like this:

GK: Silvestri
LB: Denton
RB: Berardi
LCB: Bamba
RCB: Del Fabro
LDM: Cook
RDM: Murphy
LW: C. Taylor
RW: Byram
CAM: Mowatt
ST: Montenegro

I know it's a few more from the academy but I think it's best to test them. I think subs should also be:

- S. Taylor
- Dawson
- Sloth
- Doukara
- Walters
- Cani
- N'Goyi

I think we should play with that for the last few games as we have nothing to play for. I think Dawson needs a few games to get used to the league and he could be good. Also think Montenegro has to be tried as we lack finishing, as well as N'Goyi as he could be used to close out games from a leading position. Thoughts?

What planet are you lot on we were gifted two goals last night and spent most of the game defending in our own half. Redfern plays a nineteen year old from the academy for the whole 90 minutes after all his preaching about being carefull with theses young lads this was a ridiculess action. Without his right hand man(Thompson) he is like a fish out of water floundering. If we leave things as they are then we can expect much of the same next season. It as been suggested that we play aload of academy players in games upto the end of the season but what about these players that have already been brought in, Adrian. Montenegro, Del Fabro, NyGoyi we have not seen any of them in action. All these players will be departing at the end of the season in line with their contracts. When I turn up at Elland Road I expect Leeds to be fielding the best team they can with the view of winning the game not giving a load of young players a run out to satisfy a few peoples ego's.

good point defending in our own half players do that so leave Phillips out and what do you want morison to keep playing at some point you have to bring them in . loans three came in only one played and one with injury so yes I'd say waste of money ,,things have to move forward and look for players for next year . a lot will leave I summer I would think sloth never plays and a few others .but like as usual we don't know what's going on . who's going to own club and who is going to be coach . so next year start all over from scratch . hopefully we will get good start and be up in top 4 all season . TIME WILL TELL

Just read this whole page and what is obvious is
Don't play cooper
Play 2 strikers
Don't give a debut for 90 minutes
Play players in their natural position! That's a new one?
Sign some pace. That's a new one?
Get rid of reddders. Back to academy

Have you got Cellino-itis? You can't bomb the coach out every time a couple of disappointing reults come along. Play 2 strikers and give up some possesion and control in midfield? Cooper is better than Bellusci

I've said reddders has been a lucky coach rather than a good one all along! Good with kids. Just like me Ma!
Cooper v bellusci?? I go for bell

Think I've got to swing for Cooper in this argument. At the beginning of the season it was easy to make a case for Cooper being our best CBand the only thing changing that is Bamba. Cooper is still better than Bellusci and only thing I'd consider is giving Del Fabro a go cause what I've seen of him looks really good.

As for getting Redfearn out I'd say no. We've had good results under him and giving a bit of stability and freedom (like he had when we were one of the form teams for most of 2015) then we could easily push for playoffs next season. Unfortunately he'll never get that here so I think he'll leave one day anyway.

Best formation we played was with 3 centre backs, looked solid and got forward more.Taylor should be playing wing back, wooton out Berardi in.Should be playing such as Montenegro Del Fabro and Adryan. Adryan did not do much in the games he had but he was playing in a crap diamond and with no help in midfield. Monty scores every game for academy and I am of the opinion that Del Fabro made Cooper look good when they played together in academy. All three are class players and it will be the likes of these that get us up next year, not Dawson Phillips or Walters but I am sure they will have a part to play. Sloth Bianchi Cani all ignored for young ones who would be better loaned out for part of next season,
As for Redfearn how do we know how good he is. First management post with no real experience around first team. Will need to get over his bias towards the kids, and become more tacticallly aware.
