Today’s result for me has highlighted how far we have fallen since last season, we took massive steps last season and we should of built on that but after today I think we are in free fall, we are probably back to the days before MC results wise! To me we need a major buyer with solid funds and a bloody good plan for a strong squad to challenge, other clubs find great owners so why do we find it so hard especially as we are a huge club! Orta and Heckingbottom please go, a huge clear out in summer and a clean break from these last few seasons imo is needed. It’s so frustrating watching my team play like we do and it’s heartbreaking when you see us in free fall, very hard times ahead, but we as we do keep believing and hoping for the day when April and May comes along and it’s still of interest for us! Sorry if my post is really negative but my drive back home from Elland Road was a very long and extremely quiet journey!

Mike think most of us echo your sentiment. Think because we want the best for our team it hurts so much when we flatter to deceive.

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Apr 2018 20:26:08
Today was difficult Mike, you're right. We really need a few of the "future" to be the "present" next year, plus a few additions with the right experience. I still saw some positive passages of play today to give me hope tho, but hope we manage to hold onto Pablo, more than any other player.

Mezzer and Brightwhite and all the other fantastic posters on this site, I really yearn for the day when we are all posting positive posts about how well we win and how well we played, our great owners and our great expectations in the Premiership, we had it at the beginning of this season, we were flying, but it’s so confusing as to how we changed so quick from a title challenger to mid table mediocrity! The only thing that is forever certain at Elland Road is that we the fans, through thick and thin will always be there, optimism, pessimism, great times and bad times, bad managers and not so good managers, we will always sing our team! MOT 👍

Agree2 Disagree2

07 Apr 2018 20:47:19
Mikewoody, Mezzer, 1000% agree with you post they are amazingly true as always. I don’t think Radz has what it will take to build a winning team to take us out of this league, only funds to complete with the lower team in this league, the manager was picked because of the lack of funds needed to bring in a quality manager and who would come with the current set up we have, So say we should give them time to change this he’s have thatyes I know he didn’t pick the players he has but that’s not going to change with this management set up, so for you who thing things will get better on you head be it, I just hope your right can’t see it and I pray I am wrong to me the future ain’t bright, pardon the pun brightwhite,

Embarrassing today. Orta needs to go and take his 5hite with him!

One thing we all agree on is we just want the day to come when our return to the Premier League is confirmed. I just hope we are all around to see it!

Agree with some of the sentiments expressed. Yes today could have been better. It looked for a while that we were the equal, of a team like Sunderland, and that should not be however my take on these last few matches is; the least important part is the result. Far more important is our style and effort/commitment and second to that is the introduction of new blood every game, agreed Brighty. Not just for one game then dropped. Unless he has a mare, play him again and again. Let him see what real pressure is like. He will never see/feel that in the U23s. I was dissappointed that Pearce did not play. I know if may have been a gamble playing him and O'Connor together but it would be advantageous that they have played together in the U23s. Hopefully Heckys hand has been forced by Bera. Upfront there is not much more he can learn about Roofe. Maybe there is but it must be the end for Lassoga. With Clarke/Edmondson/Dalby/ (Ekuban and Grot) queuing at the door it's about time one or more of these got, at least, 45mins. Come on Mr Hecky you played Pearce and he didn't let you down. You played O'Connor and he didn't let you down. You played BPF and he now ends up MOTM let's see the next one Tuesday.

Old news CJS. Happened in the New Year. At least this new kid Des/Tom can play and he's a defender. I'm more concerned by our manager and his lack of ability. Our youth finally looks promising and given where we are right now I'll take it. Something to look forward to.

Paul Clement has the same number of wins in 3 as Heckaday has in 11. 😂

07 Apr 2018 20:31:33

OK more money than any of the others, maybe not enough money

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Apr 2018 17:47:29
Not being too cruel but there must have been a little bit of "get in" from Tom Pearce as Berardi saw his red card. It will now be criminal if he doesn't get his next call up on Tuesday. Must be a back 4 of Dallas//Pontus//O'Connor// Pearce.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

07 Apr 2018 17:54:16
Hosannah over Dallas anyday.

Agree1 Disagree2

07 Apr 2018 20:19:07
Maybe a good call SG just worry about wholesale changes at the back. Good call but, for another day.

07 Apr 2018 21:00:35
Shame Coyle not available.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 21:38:22
I wouldn’t put Dallas in defence personally. This is one reason why we are doing so poorly

Agree1 Disagree2

07 Apr 2018 17:39:27
O' Connor certainly looks a good prospect. Very composed in the main, and comfortable on the ball. Defo time to see some others. The Berra red means that Pearce will get another shot. Wanna see Clarke on the wing, and Dalby upfront given a shot too. Screw the results, let's just see what they're made of, and give em some experience.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

07 Apr 2018 18:19:32
What happened to bringing them in controlled so they don't get ruined?

Agree1 Disagree1

07 Apr 2018 18:35:19
Things move on Martyn. Paudie deserves to keep his place. Pearce has to come in due to the red. And I didn't say start with the other two, just give them a go.30 mins, a game at a time would be fine.

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Apr 2018 20:25:34
Agree with you Brighty I would give them 45mins each prob partenered with Roofe. Lassoga is mostly a passenger and will not be here next year so let's give it a go.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 20:32:02
Agree re lassie, Leodis. I think he's a great finisher, but in this system, if that's the way we are going to play, then it doesn't suit him, and we could get a couple of quality additions in his stead based on salary alone.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 21:40:32
I wouldn’t bother playing Lasogga any more personally - he is off at the end of the season and we have nothing to pay for so why bother? Give our own players game time I say.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 17:36:02
I am a fan of Shaugnessy and it seems I could be a fan of O'Connor, (he did not in anyway disgrace himself) however next season I still believe we need an experienced rock of a CB to partner Pontus. The 2 young lads should then be loaned out to a good L1 team to show them what meaningful games actually feel like.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

07 Apr 2018 18:20:25
He didn't but it's a disgrace we can't beat sunderland

Agree3 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 18:38:36
Agree Martyn. We should've stuffed em big time. But do you recall when The Duke scored for us to retain our prem status vs Arsenal under Peter Reid. that's where Sunderland were today. Never going to be a walkover. But yes, we should've won, and comfortably.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 17:27:22
Outplayed at home by the worst team in the league, absolutely embarrassing. No doubt it's all the players fault, despite the fact we beat them with rubbish TC. Had enough now, paying no interest until Krusty the Clown is sacked.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 17:26:29
Hopefully not but; is Pablo not signing because he is waiting for the end of the season to see what we can do and in the next few games to see if the players he doesn't fancy are going to be persevered with. To see if next season will be any different to this. He has not many more seasons himself so does not want to tread water with a very average team.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

07 Apr 2018 18:30:15
He'll be wearing a Birmingham shirt next season sadly.

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Apr 2018 19:02:31
Agree SG90, talk in Brum that Monk wanting Pablo next season. He will earn more cash their too Stockdale rumoured to be on £40k a week.

Agree1 Disagree1

07 Apr 2018 19:20:11
It's a truly p1ss poor state of affairs if it comes to be, that Pablo would prefer to play for Birmingham than us. Would say a lot about where he sees both teams next season. It also exasperates me that these teams can offer wages that are not only higher than ours, but multipliers thereof. Where the ferk does our money go? Impressive crowds, paying bl00dy high gate fees etc. How do our sponsorships compare with other teams? Are we underselling our brand on that front? WTF is going on?

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 19:29:31
Not about where he sees either team, coming near to end of his career, can't blame him for going for the money.

Agree1 Disagree1

07 Apr 2018 20:35:52
Brum will be getting totally bummed in 18 months over financial fair play. If they retain the players, on the same wages, and don't go up next season, they're cat food. unless Harvey joins their board, of course.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 17:23:32
Truth is our players are not as bad as we think. Time and time again they are playing out of position management is poor and getting poorer. A strong manager is what's needed

Believable4 Unbelievable3

07 Apr 2018 18:23:21
Wex bang on. It's a team with plenty of internationals and youth internationals so it's down to how there been set up to play in my opinion

Manager with a say in recruitment, not someone who coaches Ortas buys With no input.

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Apr 2018 22:17:17
No manager worth his salt would work under Orta that's the main reason Monk left I reckon all the bad buys he's made and Radz still sticking with him, ridiculous

07 Apr 2018 17:14:54
Two evenly pitched teams played out a draw. The worrying part from me was the last few minutes we were defending for our lives. We made them look better than they are. They were pressing for the winner and we were scraping to save the draw, not good enough. O'Connor did not let himself down. Worth another look. BPF looks to have solved the GK problem. Need to now look at Dalby/Edmondson. If Lassoga not here next year then no point in playing him. Add Roofe/Ekuban to the mix and those to me are the four to choose our forwards from.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

07 Apr 2018 17:37:56
Problem is our fans now saying we're similar to Sunderland. No we're not. Tired of the excuses being given to Heckaday.

07 Apr 2018 17:10:50
Hope dats the last we see of Beradi in a Leeds shirt he's a liability . Paudie looks a good prospect BPF absolutely superp throughout. also say goodbye to Lassogga he has no interest in playing for Leeds. Still can't decide if Heck is right man for the job. don't think he is.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

07 Apr 2018 18:08:44
Agree Whitelight about Beradi being a liability, for me he isn't good enough either. Also find Dallas uninspiring. Great to see BPF and Paudie doing well. Get a couple more young lads in as well.

I'd keep him. poor challenge, yes, 100%. But how many of us cry out for passion, heart and aggression, because we are Leeds? You need a nutter in the side, but he needs to be coached out of those mistakes, in the same way as Wilko did with Sir Vincent of Jones.

07 Apr 2018 17:00:29

Believable2 Unbelievable1

07 Apr 2018 16:37:18
The thing is top 6 would guarantee 30k+ crowds every game, so we could afford it. Relegation standard managers results in poor crowds and costs us income.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

A draw certainly isn't going to give him any credit either. Not one thing has changed in terms of performance. I'm not buying this confidence stuff either, he has had long enough to deal with that. I don't think he could motivate a mouse in a cheese factory.

A new spine is a definite need, GK, CH, Def Mid, ST before you even start on LB and W. Bailey has done well and should be competing as one of our main 2 keepers. I just hope we do not sign Mbakogu, i really do not fancy him at all.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

07 Apr 2018 10:35:07
The ONLY thing I can say in his favour is that we are not privy to the training pitch. If he scores for fun on there then it's only the weight of expectation weighing heavily on his shoulders. He may be an extreme case of a confidence player and needs plenty of TLC and a friendly voice in his ear telling him how good he is. Hopefully the first couple of goals will lead to a goal a game avalanche. Ijust don't know. It's just one of those Leeds supporter things, we live in hope.
