I know its late in the season. I want to start a campaign against the ridiculous colours of away kits over the last couple of seasons. The current one
'Beige' and last season Black? . When were these colours even relevant to Leeds. C'mon people, let demand Yellow, blue, proper Leeds colours. let's stop suffering the marketeers stupid ideas.

We will not play in purple. We won't have a number 17 in the squad. Cellinio is very superstitious and hates both of the above.

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite agree the plain white for home theplain yellow for away with the smiley badge

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. All white, blue & yellow are Leeds kits and let's get a new badge. Ours is awful at mo - back to yorkshire rose or smiley type! PA

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the start of a new era hopefully, so let's go back to the badge at the start of the last one. a Leeds Owl

Agree0 Disagree0

Change badge to Yorkshire rose and have white blue and yellow kits

Agree0 Disagree0

Love to see us keep badge as is but all white with blue trim at home and all yellow with blue trim away and sock tags again and come to centre circle before kick off and salute us as they did in the great revie days ahhh memories!! nickybee

Agree0 Disagree0

I was a fan of the puma logo down the sleeves and a good collar not a fan of the collarless shirts

Wanting to get a request through to Mr Cellino - Survivor / Geoff let's see if you can pass this on to the powers that be - a good test for you. Its a genuine piece of business for a midfield maestro for next season . he is 34 but just 'LOVE' to see him at Leeds for one season then a No 2 coaching role - can we get this going please as a request petition to the new Owner please ; so he can see it and go for it . Transfer deal offer to Mr Andrea Pirlo

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Can you also suggest;

Lahm
Cassilas (Sp?)
Walcott
Suarez
Messi
Iniesta
Aguero

All have potential

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2014 22:20:16
may I remind you all that when don revie took charge it took him 2 seasons to make leeds the first year they fought relegation

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont really think Aguero is Championship material. Negredo please.

DS

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but that was a different time and we were different as fans.

We want success now,
we want quality signings now,
we want tasty tippy tappy football (but not at the cost of wins),
we want cheaper tickets,
we want the stadium to fill out,
we want, we want we want. and all now.

We have no patience now and we are not willing to give guys a chance., whether they be managers, players or owners.

DS

Agree0 Disagree0

How long do you want to be outside the premiership? I want it next season how long should we be patient. The time is now not the next time or the time after?

According to YEP, an email from Cellino's solicitor to them says that the tax evasion charge against Cellino are a non starter

He doesn't own the yacht in question (a company he works for do) and under EU law he can keep it in Italian waters for up to 18 months without paying tax on it. His solicitor reckons that there is no case to answer. let's hope he's right then at least we can move forward

Those more ITK may criticise this comment however BMcD has indicated that he has failed to capture his loan target this week. I would have thought it was more prudent to identify and go for a number of targets, it opens up the choice if your are successful. It may be argued that there are few players available however in this high tech society we appear to be using carrier pigeons to make enquiries about the availability of players. Yes, we may have to get agreement with the club, the agent, the player etc. but does this have to take over a week to achieve (and more often than not fail to achieve)? Is part of Brian's issue is his unwavering loyality to a number of players who have not been delivering the performances, which means that he is not busting a gut to bring in additional personnel?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Mar 2014 17:12:56
That may be the case but ultimately it will cost him his job in the end.

i think we have a good enough squad now to push for playoffs so any new players come in its a bonus . it takes time because the players bmd is after are not listed for loan and also he wants players that we can sign on a long term deal in summer .

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand why he wants players with a view to permanent but if there's a player out there available for loan like ramsey was or like zaha with no move available then surely its better to get them than stewart?

Something we have been talking about in the office today and another post to change the mood and to forget about the takeover for a bit. Which one player would you bring from the past to improve the leeds team now. I initially thought Bremner or Hunter to bring a bit of steel to the midfield but as someone pointed out to me with there tackling style they would get a lot of red cards nowadays. So I've gone for Hasselbaink to add some decent firepower and movement to the front line

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Tony Yeboha or Mcalister

Agree0 Disagree0

John Charles centre forward or centre half

Agree0 Disagree0

Dacourt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Madely, he would calm the whole defence down and carry the ball out ending hofball and start football being played.

David Norris jimmy kebe Luke murphy

Agree0 Disagree0

On the Peter Banes theme, we also Arthur Graham and Carl Harris at the time ( Allan Clarke what on earth were you thinking 3 wingers no striker )

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy paynter

Agree0 Disagree0

Sabella was good - did you see him play? - it was the style of play and the opposition fouls that stopped his progress in UK leagues. skillful Players were not as protected then by Referees and Laws of new game. Barnes was a let down - and agreed, Arthur Graham was Class

Agree0 Disagree0

Sabella was good, though I feel his biggest failing was his 2 speeds, slow and stop. And yes I did see him play, was it around 79, 80, signed from Sheffield United I think. Did we ever get paid for him as went back to Argentina around Falklands War Time

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian rush

Agree0 Disagree0

Although we didn't sign him, I got very excited over the rumour of Thomas Scuravy (spelling?) and we had a look at V Nistleroy I think.
Biggest disappointment for me was Fowler,,, a few years too late

Agree0 Disagree0

Has to be Brolin. World class 12 months earlier but turned into a total joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sabella ( now Messis Coach of course ) left before Falklands broke out - he went to river plate I think - may be wrong? Andrea Pirlo has ''stop and start'' buttons too = its called look up and pass = and that's all I really want from a playmaker - love a sabella type in this current huff and puff Leeds team - players that can make it look slow and simple but its not . its Zen - Hoddle, Brady, Cowans even! Andrea Pirlo in a Leeds shirt - yeah come on Massimo you know you want to:! MOT etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Roque Junior: World cup winner: Worst Leeds player ever.

Sabella signed for estudiantes in early 82 just before the Falklands invasion

Agree0 Disagree0

Nick barnby, absolute crap!

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2014 21:41:38
Biggest disappointment without a shadow was Lee Sharpe. Closely followed by huckerby. 1st game in 93 so my all time xi is Martyn Kelly Dorigo Batty Radebe Woody Speed McAllister Strachan Hasslebaink Yeboah. Really hard not to put bowyer in that team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brolin seemed a real statement at the time. Unfortunately the statement turned out to be 'we are persons'.

according to the don's solicitor he reckons he ca prove cellino's innocence he say and I quote:
"In my view I have fully proved that Mr Cellino is not guilty because the boat is owned by a US company to which Mr Cellino is an employee and is entitled, therefore, (to) stay temporarily in Italy for 18 months in accordance with EU customs legislation without paying any fee."
sounds good to me italian government seems like their clutching at straws hope he's right!
MOT o the joys of being a leeds fan suspense is killing me! aaarrrggghhhhh

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As far as I can see Cellino has had a good few cases brought against him but seems to avoid serious convictions. He is quite shrewd and astute when it comes to these things.

Agree0 Disagree0

More twists and turns than a game of Super Massimo Carts, but it would appear MC is an expert with the controls, plenty of practice one could argue and an astute awareness of the rules.

According to his lawyer looks like we will be sailing into calmer waters sooner rather than later. Maybe a little early but time to set out the deck chairs, put on the shades and set sail for the premiership.

Marciare Su Insieme (MOT)

An increasingly hopeful Cornish White

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He wudnt be fighting the case if he thought it would cause a problem with the takeover

He would just pay the tax bill which won't be that much to his millions

Here is a thought for all the "the FA hates us and wants us to fail" fans on this board.

If the FA ignore the trial that is going on at the moment and let Cellino take over now, potentially if he is found guilty, and I say if as innocent till proven, if he is found guilty then we have a convicted criminal running our club. What other football club is then going to do business with us, any deal that we would do would be looked into with a fine tooth comb and I think make it difficult to get players regardless of how much money Cellino has. Any other club is going to want to know where the money has come from and want to check it is not dirty money that could potentially taint there club.

I have no problem with the FA waiting for the trial to finish, although to be honest they have no choice. I would rather have no money at the club than a potential criminal in charge.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed but they didn't do this with Carson yeung when there were question marks about him initially

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not the FA it's the football league

According to Cellino lawyer he expects him to be cleared of tax evasion he explained as he was an employee of an Americain company which owned the yacht and he was entilted to keep the yacht in Italian waters for up to 18 months under EU legislation and not required to pay tax.
