We may have finished in a similar place as last season but this is completely different to last season. BMD came here for three reasons 1. Because of the clubs history and stature. 2. Because it was the challenge of a lifetime to get this club back where it belongs. 3. Because he was promised he would be given the funds to do the job.
IF and it is a big IF he is backed and given precisely what he wants I firmly believe he will deliver promotion as number one or two but not via the play offs.

My sentiments exactly. If BMD is given time and money the then I believe we will be successful.

Agree0 Disagree0

Much the same as Warnock then.

We need to stop attracting attention to Sam byram and how good he is, because clubs will come knocking. redfearn doesn't help when he comes out and says he is the next Gareth bale, remember what happened with bechhio, we need to keep our heads down over the summer regarding Sam.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yup. He's rubbish. Everyone knows that ;)

bids will come in regardless

they are not stupid and intend on attracting a big offer for byram, i'm sure he will be sold if its the best decision for the club

Agree0 Disagree0

They may be playing a clever game and making out we rate him far too highly so have an over inflated price tag on him. At the end of the day no one wants him to go and he wants to stay so its all down to what is best for the club. I hope he stays and I think there is a good chance he will IMO!

Agree0 Disagree0

I know many people will disagree with me and believe me even I believe it isn't great but say if an offer 7m plus comes In for Byram I wouldn't mind us selling him depending on how much would be reinvested in the team

A lot of people are predicting we will sign players from Reading this summer. Doubt we will though, as with other relegated clubs they will get rid of some fringe players to lower wages and the odd player that will want to play at a higher level but apart from that they will want to keep as much of the same squad as last season. Reading players (or QPR and a. n. other club) will see there current club as a better prospect rather than Leeds. I also don't see us being able to offer enough wages to tempt them to us, we will have more money to spend than previous years but not enough to buy recently relegated players.

Why would we wan't recently relegated cannon fodder, from very average teams with no ambition! They can keep them in my opinion, who want's players whose ambition is to finish 4th from bottom in the prem. and earn ridiculous wages for being failures!. oh and the icing on the cake the clubs get a failure (sorry parachute)payment!you couldn't make it up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Some of the players in relegated team are good and would be worth looking at if we had the funds. Its the fact though that the relegated clubs don't have the resources to get more good players and have to pad the squad with cheaper ones which is where the problems come from. If they can get established like Fulham, Stoke, Swansea then they get more cash and can get better players and rely on the bad players less. The flip side of that is someone like QPR who have loads of money and flash the cash getting a load of good players but the team doesn't gel. However any players that would be good enough for us the relegated teams won't be letting them go to division rivals as they will want to keep as good a squad as possible.
Also bet you didn't complain about parachute payments when Leeds got relegated.

Not going to lie actually quite excited (despite not going up), really looking forward to what Mcd can bring next season, and I am optimisitic that the board will back him as well.

As far as signings go I have seen plenty of ideas, some more dreamy than others, but we have to dream at times, just hope we can bring in some real quality that will get ER buzzing again.

I think this is the first time we can honestly say we don't know what's going to happen from here on in. I mean transfer wise.

I can't guess who we will sign and despite rumours I think there is no chance of us guessing till they are signed.
I like the "stay below the radar" approach.

But guys who would you like to see next season?

I think we could do with
Le fondre/mcgoldrick
M phillips/luongo
M mills/a pearce

Just my personal preference

Does anybody think we could consistently sell out 35,000 every home game if promoted

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Obviously

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes if the recession ever finishes!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not while Bates is still att he club. Sorry to bring it up but there would still be people staying away.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates is used as an excuse by a lot of plastics. Fair play if it was due to work or lack of it, but to use KB's is just laughable.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we went up we would easily get 40000 in each game only while we're in the championship will our attendances be down

Agree0 Disagree0

In prem we will get 28 maybe 30 thou a week only sell out for big six

Agree0 Disagree0

We drew an AVERAGE crowd of 27,000 league 1 that's average so in prem I would invisage 35,000 average

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but it depends on how much ticket prices would increase local guys simply don't have the spare cash to watch us week in week out say you and a child go tickets would probably cost you into 50-60£ mark then food and drink another 10£ then the match programme and petrol it's become really expensive to watch football
