Well lots to say really but just where to start. First why can't leeds sign someone of any note? I was disappointed that we didn't look at Patrick Bamford or were quick enough to sign ince. We always seem to take the has beens at the end of their careers, giving them a good pay off. Tonge, hunt, sharp, Morison etc. When was the last time leeds signed someone who really made a difference whether on loan or permanent? I mean getting linked with woolford doesn't exactly fill me with confidence, and he is in the twilight of his career. Surely there must be a young premiership winger who isn't getting into the side. Look at the Spurs player who won the game yesterday for Brentford. Why the hell can't leeds get these players?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

All down to contacts I am afraid. Karanka at Middlesborough can obtain players from Chelsea due to him working under Mourihno. McClaren is known to most prem managers and can ask for favours. Redfearn has little or no contacts

Agree0 Disagree0

Good call Liverlass. Would have been good to get Bamford - Middlesbro owe their league position to him as he's knocking them in there for fun. In addition to the very valid point about contacts I think we also have to be honest and ask ourselves "how attractive a proposition are we for someone like Bamford or Ince?" Chances are most upwardly mobile youngsters wouldn't want to touch us with a telescopic bargepole, which is why we end up with the likes of those you mention.

Spot on NottsWhite. Sure we will have a new "manager" for next season.

Or taking a gamble like Bournemouth. Did with signing Callum wilson from coventry and he is banging the goals in whatever happened to the scouting system at leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

We spent a couple of mil on Antenucci. He's our best striker and needs to start every game now. Could have signed Ince also

Agree0 Disagree0

Too slow on Ince but I think we should be looking at Knockaert and Matty Phillips when emergency window opens. Last impactful loan I can remember was Jerome Thomas who was excellent for us but was here too short a time.

We did sign Wickham and Butland too if you're talking about big names but Butland had no chance with our defence and Wickham was good but not here long enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - Matty Phillips started yesterday for QPR - have to wait and see what the new manager thinks about him I reckon.}

Wickham yes a decent striker, so we played him on the wing WTF!

Agree0 Disagree0

Due to the embargo, we cannot sign anyone who is on more than £600,000 a year. So that rules out any premiership player, or anyone in the championship who is worth shouting about.

Ah I completely forgot about the wage restrictions. Looks like it's back to Catania to scrape the bottom of the barrel for another 'gem'.

Why do you think it is that when picking the team! MC insist on playing Morrison up front?? To think he lead us all to believe he knew about football and players!! Wish he would let Redders have full control, over team selection!! MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Redfearn is picking Morison not Cellino. If it was up to Cellino we would be starting with Doukara, Antennuci, Adryan, Cani etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

No? You shock me! that's my point! Redders is clueless!

Agree0 Disagree0

Morison can't be getting all the blame for us losing. He's not scored but none of the strikers have exactly been prolific have they? At least Morison is holding the ball up and bringing others into play.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry kjc, didn't realise you were going for irony. Yes, Redfearn is clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

Remit of a striker! Hold the ball up and bring others into play! Put the ball into the back of the oppositions, net, as often as possible! The scoring goals bit Morrison doesn't do!! He hasn't scored for ages, at least the other strikers have!!

Yes the ref had a poor game yesterday, but we never tested their keeper whilst Silvestri made 2 or 3 great stops, so let's not kid ourselves that "we was robbed".
Plus points Bamba looked solid, Taylor is growing in confidence, Bryam finally in his best position and Cook, well simply our best player.
Negatives Morison just not good enough, Wootton not a right back, Austin like a bull in a china shop and not as effective coming onto the ball as Murphy who was very quiet yesterday. Sharp, well never looks as though he is comfortable playing for us.
Usual problems yesterday no pace and no threats coming off the bench like Adryan or even Sloth.
Yesterday whenever we had a corner or free kick Brentford left three players up front, when they had a corner we brought everyone back and time and again the ball just came back at us.
I felt Redders was very much second best in the tactics department but was let down by an insipid attack.
Back to 4-5-1 and a quick left winger in the loan window please Neil.

Well said 1LU - sharp, incisive and accurate analytical comment. We must have a pont sometime - we're very much on the same page!

Well having promised I wouldn't criticise Redders or individual players for remainder of season, I'm a bit limited in what I can say, except despite the abysmal refereeing (YET AGAIN), we would have still won if only someone could put the ball in the net. ffs!
But back to the refereeing - is there no accountability for these refs and linesmen who just simply are not good enough (at best)?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I did say I wouldn't call for redders head and was pleased when he got the job but he seems very limited and keeps making the same mistakes so can I call for his neck?

Time you paid him a visit and had a word!

If we want a new coach which I dnt think we going to get what about clements at real madrid no 2 there doing a great job but money might be a problem! Stick with redders for now is there really anyone out there who could and want the job?

I tell u. He is clueless
Sharp cause he scores one goal???
Morrison cause. Buggered if I know!
God almighty. We have the players capable of winning often
The bloody coach just hasn't got a clue. Who and how to play!
But. He says
Good hard working performance
Oh. An before u say we were robbed. Good teams don't get robbed. They win!
Get rid of reddders.

What is it with the match officials in the championship this year. We had two blatant penalties turned down yesterday when Austin was pushed to the ground by the same player. A hand ball by the Brentfird player in the build up to their goal which was missed by both the linesman and the ref. last week at Huddersfield Foy the match referee waved a way a penalty appeal after Byram was upended in the box and in the game against Birmingham we had two clear penalty appeals turned which if allowed would have given us the three points as yesterday's decisions would have done. Clearly the referee, s Association should be looking at the standard of refereeing and taking the proper action they are costing us valuable survival points, let's hope we get better officials for our must win game against Millwall.

well morison prove today how bad he is people calling his name out why his a donkey he looked shocked when taken off bur shouldn't be there in first place one header and a shot I said before he could play non stop for mths and still not score and sharp none nothing mirco was first choose now three choose how did that happen . cani loked a bit lost but you can't play 5 mins and be expected to do miracles .he went for one high ball and was about mile away and that corner we had played short lost ball everybody up field and yes lucky they missed happened a couple of times . other teams must now know score one goal and they will win because we won't with morison as main donkey striker we need someone up front . byram wasn't used as much no runs into there box again one step forward and two steps back after two wins you would of thought players would be on high and push forward but same rubbish but two wrong strikers didn't help time for morison to go took to long to change things nr said looked like 0-0 so he was happy then to watch that then no ideas how to change it had good bench if nothing happening you have to change it straight away but he seamed to be happy for 0-0 bad

Just found out that thing of a ref also was the ref at the chalton game when he was terrible, that's twice he has done us, would not be surprised if the fa get him to ref at everyone of our matches

Big disappointment that game was there to be won. Officials did not help but neither did team selection. Morrison should not be on the pitch, Sharp not as good as Ant, Why Wooton instead of Berardi, he was loaned out for most of season. Subs on too late and made no sense. Ant and Cani should have come on at half time and Sloth. Playing three strikers with only three midfielders made no sense. Think Redders needs to take the blinkers off and put his projects like Morrison Austin and Sharp to one side and pick a team that can do the business. Bianchi played really well when he first came so we know he can play same with Sloth. We can't afford too keep giving balls away in this division. Mowatt is wasted out wide We have players who will do the business and get us up this league if they are played. Adryan should be around the fist team as well. No game plan treats every game the same, Before Bournemouth I said the next five games were winnable and we would move up the table. Brentford should have been a three pointer. We need to win our next two or we will be struggling. mot

Just read that Redfern has issued a warning to his misfiring strikers.
Well here's an idea don't start a game with two of your three top goalscorers on the bench and the third one sat at home on his @rse!

you can only misfire if you fire in the first place and two of them don't
