What I don't get is people think we only need 5-6 more players, so who will make the rest of the squad up? After lees and Pearce only CB is kisnorbo if he is back in time and personally he is past it, bromby out for long time so we need a few more CBs, we need alot more midfielders, and need another 2-3 strikers if Ross goes because somma will not be back in time probably, looking at the squad and minus the injured, transfer listed and wantaways then the squad is tiny, is Neil going to throw the inexperienced youth in? In the season he wants to get promotion? To much pressure for rookie players, need to be signing atleast another 10-11 players

So 2 new defenders 2- 3 strikers and 2-3 midfeilders so at least 6 :) MOT mate

Before the sale of clayton thats probably all we did need as bates wanted wage bill reducing from 11.5 mil to 9.5 mil .to do this we had to reduce size of squad by 5-6 players so for us to build a decent squad we would then have to remove 11-13 players which brought us down from 29 to 16-18 players we then bring in 5 or 6 better players which then gets us back around a squad of 22 which leaves the option for either a sub gk bringing in or extra wages for the players . = wage /squad reduced = happy kb .

We do have some good you th players, and they should hopefully get a few games but it is unfair on them to expect them to step straight in and fight for promotion?

We have to sell our transfer listed players first else they rmain in the squad. Paynter, Nunez, O'brian.

dont get me wrong we need first team additions but i think any more than 6 and we will be in the situation as last season with too big a squad. A lot more midfeilders? what in addition to Brown, Pugh, Rogers, Nunez, Snodgrass, Thompson and Green. 7 plus another 3, we wont want more than 10.

very good week for leeds this week we will be took over on the 12th but varney/norris and kenny will be complete before this is annouced warnock has told yep that leeds will sign fresh deals with white,mccormack and snodgrass on friday then leeds will sign a defender with experience a peachy midfielder like commons,mcgugan or whittingham also lita and either cox or dj campbell will be signed on loan then we will go on to be champions. mot

Rumour is rife on twitter that Snodgrass close to a move to villa

Warnock has stated that Snodgrass isn't going anywhere till at least xmas, he is the pivotal player that he is building a team arouns.

Only reason the Villa people think Snodgrass is going is because Lambert is now there. Everybody though Lambert would take Snodgrass to Norwich - that didn't happen either!

Have faith - at least till xmas......

The takeover will be done either Thursday or Friday and the transfers will be coming in left right centre over the whole weekend watch the space

First time on. No rumors. Really really worried how every ody else is tooling up for new season withgood signings and we are talking about reserve players coming in. The players talked about on this site will maybe stop us from being relegated. The teams are pretty handy this season. We need good quality just to survive, not first division players or qpr reserve teAm. Nw better have surprises up his sleeve or we are all doomed. Clayton. Snodgrass. Becs were the only class we have/had

The latest name to be linked with a takeover at Leeds United is Bahraini Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa.

The Sheikh is a member of the Bahraini royal family and a lifelong Leeds United supporter of over 40 years, having been brought up in this country.

He was first linked with a takeover of the club in the winter of 2003 with the club in meltdown and sliding towards relegation to the championship. The clubs crown jewels were being sold at a knockdown price to try to clear the £100 million debt that had been amassed.

He was reported to be leading a consortium trying to buy the club and speaking at the time back in 2003, he said, 'I fell in love with the club when I was 11 years old when Leeds played Chelsea in the 1970 FA Cup final.

'It was fated that I should love the club. Whether that fate will determine that I can save them 30 years later, I don't know.

'Leeds mean everything to me, I was born to support them.

'Those who are closest to me, my friends and my family, know what Leeds United mean to me.'

He eventually failed in his attempts to buy the club with the club stating at the time that they had not received satisfactory evidence that the funds existed for his consortium to buy Leeds United.

Leeds have made two brief statements regarding the current situation at the club.

On May 29th, they released a statement on the official website stating that the club were in talks with possible investors.

On June 26th, they released their second statement when they said they had granted an exclusivity period for a potential investor to carry out due diligence and the club admitting they were happy the investors had the funds available and would have no problems clearing the fit and proper persons test set out by the Football League.

One sports lawyer after reading the statement made by the club said that the statement issued by Leeds pointed at a full takeover of the club and not just an investment.

Is nobody else starting to become a bit concerned that nothing at all has been leaked about this proposed takeover, i've never known a takeover like it, normally sky sports or the BBC have gained some knowledge of who is involved in these things, yet neither have given any coverage to the proposed takeover. Hope I'm just being over cautious or worse still we haven't all been taken in by the takeover talks only for them to fall apart just at the end of the transfer window, leaving us high and dry again. I'm sure all the die hards desperate for the takeover to be true will now jump and slate my post, but once the blinkers are removed we all have to be slightly worried by the lack of information coming forward

How many sources - including media like the Sun, Mirror, Sky sports etc, actually predicted we were going to be buying someone that never happened?

How many of them actually predicted the players we DID buy?

The only people that know what is going on are those involved in the deal - whatever it is, or wherever it is being done - we don't even know where that is, even?

I believe that Warnock is privvy to SOME information, not all, and that has kept him at Leeds, and looking for players, which gives me faith that there IS something ongoing - at least for now.

And I still won't believe that Warnock or Leeds are chasing any other player named on this site or anywhere else until I actually see it on the OS, and that includes Kenny, Peltier, Verney, or anyone else being speculated about.....

If that's your starting 11 you'd better look for a different right wing because I doubt that team is good enough to make Snodgrass stay.

No, Lees won't be first choice this season. He's not quite there yet.

Its a reliable team but weather it could score enough goals to get promoted i really don't know
