All these people shouting for warnocks head, what makes you think the next man will do any better. it takes a special person to manage Leeds a tough no nonsense kind of person someone who is thick skinned and has the right temperament Warnock for me ticks all the boxes, he's shown his temperament 4 weeks ago he was down and out now we are on verge of play offs, say what you want but he's turned it round shut the doubters up. people are saying Nigel Adkins has he managed a club the size of Leeds no, Scunthorpe and Southampton not exactly big clubs, he's had success but can he handle the pressure and expectations that come with the job I for one have my doubts, I say stick with Neil, persuade him to stay one more year I don't think we will disappointed.

Believable13 Unbelievable14

I want warnock to stay. Now wheres my white stick, white coat and hearing aid!

i think we would run away with the league next season with warnock incharge if we don't get up this yr.

Agree9 Disagree8

Warnock's football is dated. He's achieved nothing with his hoofball, as some of us predicted would be the case on here when he was appointed.

Warnock's record in the higher leagues is poor - his promotions in the lower leagues were mainly two decades ago. His relegation record is woeful, especially higher up the leagues.

He's had a decent budget and squandered it on his has-been mates like Kenny, a man Warnock claims is the best keeper in the country. That tells you everything you need to know about his lack of judgement.

His tactics are poor, his substitutions, or lack of, are utterly baffling. We create few chances and until the last three games have let in far too many goals.

The football is the worst I've seen in 43 years of going to the home games and many away in terms of entertainment which I could just about bear if we were challenging for promotion. Which brings me to the bit about being near the play offs - no we're not, we would have to get past 4 better teams in 10 games. And 'running away with the league' if he stays. On what logical basis can you justify that utterly ridiculous assertion? The science of mindless optimism perhaps?

As I've said before

Going nowhere under Warnock.

Ppl keep saying if we lose tomorrow the season is over for us. Well its not. We can still reach over 75 points and 6th place could end up with 4 or 5 points less than that amount so game on. Hope we get a good win tomorrow to remove some pressure

Believable15 Unbelievable0

He needs to install that winning mentality to see the game out, it's no use being 1-0 up and Paddy keeps whacking it up the pitch for the last 10 mins.

A great manager for us next season would be Neil Lennon. if we go up or stay down he would do some job with us as he is used to working on a tight budget and he gets the best out of the players he's got. sure he bought victor wanyama for 900k.

hes in a league of 1 team. remove celtic from the division and give him a different team to manage and he will be able to be assessed similar to the championship as the rest of the teams are similar to each other

Cantona said after we'd won the title to wilko that he wasn't coming back and wouldn't play for leeds again. wilko had no choice but to sell

Strange comments from Neil in advance of the Crystal Palace match. It comes across as though he wants them to go up more than us. Sounds like "dead man walking".

"They won 4-2 the other night and they were on fire. I really do hope they go up because they are a club close to my heart. " Neil on tv website {Ed013's Note - Don't read too much into that mate}

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Just part of Neil's psychology before a game. He is an expert!

Warnock interview with Footballers football show, he said he wants to bring in a few more faces in the summer and expects us to be in the elite league within 18 months. Not the words of someone who might be leaving in my opinion.

I think there's far to much swapping and changing of manager's, i'd like our next manager to be one which will stay on for a good number of years, give them a chance to prove themselves personally I don't think 1 season's enough.

Agree3 Disagree0

Oh my god
Warnock or goldilocks mark hughes are my two worst nightmare managers.
Think we will sneak 3 tomorrow. wouldn't it be great to score winner in injury time

I've said all season that Michael brown is very poor although he battles and fights he simply isn't good enough, it just shows my point because as soon as he is dropped we start performing and playing a lot better. Shame we didn't play this team all season JIM_LUFC

Believable6 Unbelievable4

It wasn't just Brown that was dropped. Austin and Diuof have been missing too. Austin doesn't impress me that much, but Diouf earlier in the season was a match winner

Agree7 Disagree0

Brown has been one of our better players this season. Austin has been the weak link in midfield. He was ok at start of season but since injury has been very poor. I would have no problem if Brown came back in team at weekend, although we should stick with same midfield.

Agree8 Disagree4

08 Mar 2013 12:56:11
brown was given a poorer contract as he wasn't expected to play as much as he as done.
he as done a good job this season. he's a great player to have on the bench and probably start against a better passing team when things need breaking up and he could be the difference between wining the playoffs or not, that is if we get there.
part reason for better performances is the fans moaning at warnocks style of play which he has slightly changed now, then there's the defense finally playing as a unit with the rest of the squad.

Agree6 Disagree1

I agree that austin hasn't been the same as the start the season but I have been to a lot of games this season and every time brown has been the weakest link and doesn't bring a lot to the team, austin, norris and even green could do the job that brown does. just my opionion JIM_LUFC

nigel adkins should be brought in and start
rebuilding the team asap after the season
ends. hopefully he will reatain the core of the team especially the defence. then more
quality players should be brought in to beef up the squad especially a midfielder
playmaker and a winger for a start. the
rest of the team should be retained. he should change the tatics of the team and
use the wingers more instead of hoofing the ball up for the strikers to head and chase. typicall of warnock's style. gfh capital should back him up financially and
hopefully leeds will be back in the premier
league by the next season. mot the whites.

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Good post bud, but I would suggest we get Adkins or whoever in when promotion is imposible, NW is not looking at another season in the championship so why wait?, whoever takes over is going to want financial backing so be interestig to see if we have the money to get quality players in.

I think if it comes down to byram getting the choice of moving to prem league or staying at Leeds I think he will stay. He puts his heart and sole into every game. Selling byram for less than 5 mil would not be a good decision.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Yeah he will stay, I believe whether we go up or not he will. But no player will wait forever. Let's say, what, he turns 26 and we still are languishing. What then? Everyone wants to play at the top level at some point. The advantage with players like Byram, Lees and White is that they are young, and have plenty of time thank goodness. Becchio didn't, and that's why he left, to have a crack at the premiership. But I have no doubt he would have preferred to do that with Leeds, same as all the youngsters coming through!

no point in changing the manager now. the
season will be ending soon so let warnock
manage this team. he says he will walk even
if leeds win promotion. start planning for
next season and bring in nigel adkins and
hopefully gfh capital provides him with
enough funds to bring in quality players for next season. whether adkins will break
up warnock's team or retain the players is
up to him. feel sorry for the fans but every
new manager has hi own choice of players
they want. hopefully he will reatain the
defence which is doing quite well now and
add in more quality players in other areas
of the team. good luck leeds next season.

Loggin in gives you a name and identity on here. Not sure why people don't do it. I take oponions more seriously with a name. Maybe just me. My name is ausman, i'm 50 yrs old and have been a leeds fan since the 70s. I have seen the great, good and bad. I don't like losing, I don't accept we are not a big 8 team, I think with careful but optimistic control any owner should get us into the prem league. I expect the players to try 100% every minute of every game. I don't expect to buy dodgy players and I 100% want warnock gone
I want a manager who can motivate his players to play good football, a manager who knows when and where to play hos players and how to use substitutes. I don't care who owns is as long as they are willing to speculate a bit and believe we are a bug club, not buy into the last decades showing and think we are happy with anything other than continuous prem stay. that's ausman {Ed013's Note - Very True}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Hi Ausman, good post and wouldn't we all like the same. Unfortunately lifes not like that nor is football. i'm a fair bit older than you but share your sentiments. We are what's termed a yoyo team we are up and down. There are many similar teams such as Wolves, Sunderland, WBA, Blackburn and several others. A few years in the prem, a few years in the championship, back to the prem, back to the championship, etc, However as we have been out of the prem for a while now our up time surely must be due again. keep the faith. JD

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure why you'd want rid of Warnock now were probably the form team of the league. let's face it warnock has done well considering no money available.

Agree7 Disagree3

How on earth can anyone be pro warnock? I get very annoyed about the pro warnock posts. He shouldn't be allowed near elland rd, he is not worthy. Possted the other day this
Give me one thing he has intentionally done that has worked?

Agree3 Disagree10

Brought in his namesake? That's about it I guess.

Agree4 Disagree0

Warnock is a experienced and proven manager, what the hell has he done wrong. He's built a new team with very little money that is improving week on week since he made some shrewd signings in January. The fact he once managed Sheffield utd is not good enough reason for him not to manage Leeds utd. All fans would want what's best for the club on the pitch not of it.

Agree5 Disagree2

Very little money who are you trying to kid he's had a lot more than what grayson had in his time has manager

Agree2 Disagree3

Warnock at his level is a good manager, a man who you like to watch on MOTD or more likely the footy league show.

But not at our great club he is out of his depth, I said it fom the moment I heard he was linked.

we have a class ethic of good football which he can't deliver also good football can be played outside the emirates contrary to the bbc/sky garbage opinion.

DiCanio for me, a proud football man who weatrs his heart on his sleeve, pair him with gary mac at no2 and we will fly

Agree3 Disagree4

07 Mar 2013 23:31:55
I want Warnock to stay on next season, is the man really doing such a bad job. I can't remember the last time we had such a steady defence he has succeeded where many have failed, we are playing good attacking football now and if he stays we can carry that good rock solid attacking team with a couple of additions through into next season then happy days.

Believable9 Unbelievable18

You are talking about the last four games maybe?

What about the previous 40 odd games since he actually took over?

Subject to us getting someone in like Adkins, I'll be only too happy to wave Warnock bye bye when his contract runs out (or sooner. )

Agree5 Disagree2

I'm afraid it's too late now. I believe if we had signed S Warnock at the beginning of the season we would be looking at a much healthier league position.
Neil Warnock has had his hands tied to some degree but has been very poor at times in regards to tactics and team selection. Not to mention his negative public quotes on our players and their performances / attitudes.

I am slowly warming up to the possibility of him staying another year and finishing the job off. (if he fails this year) We will have to be a lot smarter with transfers but I believe our current XI is very good but we need to improve the squad and add competition for places.

Agree3 Disagree4

If warnock was in charge next year he would in my opinion get us promoted.

Agree4 Disagree4

If he could play this 11 he would. If 1 got injured or he needed to make a substitution or change tactics for a game. He wouldn't have a clue
