Joey Barton released by rangers, experience would come in handy on a rolling contract. Bit of a shaft but very passionate.

Agreed, though I would be apprehensive for anything to upset the dressing room now! If he was like he was at burnley then yes.

i don't think barton upsets the dressing room he just upsets everyone else outside that room, the lad can play, he has experience and been part of many a promotion team which must count for a lot. for me i'd go for him.

Honestly I don't think we need him would rather another goal scorer think we're not bad in centre of the pitch.

I think he's a cookoo in the nest and would disrupt the team. The players are showing a real togetherness on the pitch at the moment and that bell end would ruin it in my opinion. Does anyone know why he left Rangers? It all started with some sort of bust up - no surprises there. We have better than him in any case. MM.

No way. Good player in his day but the very last player we need now. I could be wrong but he would totally upset the mix we have at the moment.

Sometimes its right to improve the squad. Right now i'm not too sure. Another striker maybe but such a move might upset the dynamics of team. Monk might try and put new forward alongside wood and change, at the moment, a successful side. Any new striker good enough will expect to start?

Barton hasn't left Rangers (yet) he is just signed off/on sick with stress. Though he is expected to leave I wouldn't expect an announcement by club or player till Jan as he can't sign for another team before then. I would take him, though Bridcutt and O'Kane would still be my preferred partnership, he was one of the stand out players in the Championship last season, all other problems aside the guy is quality and if we want to push for promotion I wouldn't turn down proven quality.

He is an avoid for me. Good player but his presence in dressing room might make KP and RV go into their shells when they've only recently begun to express themselves and blossom. We are sufficiently covered in the Centre with Birdcage and Kanye so it's pointless. Case of right player wrong time. Concentration must be on another goalscorer who will start from bench and work way into team.

Last year I'd have lept for joy at the possibility of barton coming but not now, his ability to turn a good thing bad would not be good for morale. We are very strong in the middle of the park. Bring in Assombalonga.

Lol. That's my Hooks. We're not interested in him thankfully. Rhodes in January and all roads point to PL in 2016b.

Looks like Newcastle should be missing Shelvey by the time they come to ER, he's been very naughty, "charged with using abusive language about an opponent's race, ethnicity or nationality. " If he's found guilty it's an automatic 5-game ban, BUT, he's not Leeds so he'll get let off this time but if it happens again he'll get his bare bottom smacked!

We all know that even if he isn't found guilty it'll be Pontus and woody that the fa ban for his offence! They'll deem it that we have an unfair advantage and therefore increase any ban they'd make them serve to 10 games!

They'll probably lodge an appeal and any decision will drag on after the game with us, with the outcome of Leeds being deducted 6 points for inciting a game of football with Newcastle, knowing one of their players was under investigation! MM.

Shelvey hasn't made it in the Prem because he picks up a lot of cards, gives away a lot of free kicks and pens and makes silly mistakes, would rather he played so he can get himself sent off and Wood can bury the penalty.

He's 3 goals and 6 assists out of 19 games from centre mid, so personally I would be happy if he can't play against us!

The league table has just got updated on 90 min app. I thought we were 10th. Were fing 6th. Omg. Were in larrys nose bleed land! Can't believe it. So happy. Just seen goals too. All pretty good. Whose that wood chap. Younger more talented version of bro Chris is it? going to be a battle to get in top two. But possible. Steady as she goes. Still think tough five games coming up but hope to still be in top six come Xmas.

Omg Aussie. Try to keep up mate. I know there's a time delay, but it's not 3 days. You do know we've sold the McBadgekisser. We're simply not the club he fell in love with. He preferred us when we were mediocre.

poor old ross still a good player for us bit pony everywhere else mind. up in playoffs might not stay there but all progress and that is good with me anything top half is a good start. Always backed wood and knew he was good at this level. things starting to click just hope it is still going our way come playoffs, i'd be so happy if we made them as that has not looked likely since sir larry left MOT.

Also Aus we just got disbanded for making fraudulent payments. We're about to come back as Leeds United not Leeds City.

08 Nov 2016 23:33:51
Oh that's ridiculous. Changing our name. I'm going to write to the club and complain. If we all do the same. They will have to stick with city. I thought it strange on Sunday. I knew we were 10th sat and I thought other results went against us.

Amazing, the gutter press are making a headline today of 'Britain's most notorious football hooligan at Norwich City', referring to Aaron Cawley being pictured at the game last week. I don't condone his actions at Sheffield Weds where he punched Kirkland (it's a disgrace) but the report goes on to say he has served his three year banning order so why is this such big news? He is still banned from Leeds for life (and rightly so) but that's an internal thing and nothing to do with the fact he has served his actual 'football banning order' handed out in court. So what's he actually done, other than obtain a ticket for the Norwich game when he is banned by the club? Nothing worthy of the column inches certain tabloids have dedicated to it and just another lame attempt to discredit Leeds United in my eyes, when the mass brawl between West Ham and Chelsea went by with hardly any attention in the press! MM.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2016 12:37:57
MM Didn't you hear? The mass brawl between chelski and wet spam is actually the fault of LUFC. Favouritism shown for southern teams from footballing authorities has reached ridiculous disgraceful levels now.

Biased reporting again. We could beat Newcastle and still only get two paragraphs in papers. Sad to say its evening post that start it a lot of time and tabloids jump on it. Hundreds riot in london nothing, one fan goes to match and his past is raked up. Nothing about how well behaved we all were.

to be fair even the 'brawl' at west ham was over done, 160 people injured at music festive gets nothing while five cockney tits hitting each other mentioned 24/7 on talk sport. as for the leeds bloke what he did was both cowardly and stupid he is not a football thug but a football mug, all this is nothing compared to the real voilence but proper football hard men in russia. thank god they haven't got a wolrd cup coming up of everyone would be in trouble.

this is true but all supporters have them, I see it all the time down at millwall. I know a wall fan who got sent to prison for kicking a police horse, when in the dock his defence was. I love animals I would never knowing hurt a animal, when the judge asked him to then explain his actions he said 'i was not trying to kick the horse I was trying to kick the C''T on the horse' that never made national news though like the leeds idiot who gently shoved a 6'4 keeper (who went down like he'd been shot which is just as bad in my book) our fan should be shot for being a idiot, kirkland should of been booked for diving and then banned for lack of being a man on a playing field.
