So MB would rather have an unfit Right footed Dallas play at left back than a proper fit, left footed left back? What message does that give to Pearce.

I imagine that he believes a right footed Dallas adds more to the team than Pearce playing in that position or he would have picked Pearce. Possibly down to Dallas’s age, experience, versatility. Dallas has probably had a bit more involvement in Bielas first team thoughts.

To be fair, he had a better game than Ayling on the other side. I thought on a few occasions he did get caught out of position and was wandering over the park a bit. Perhaps if you are used to playing in different positions in the team, sometimes you lose track of where you are supposed to be playing!

Don’t forget Bielsa is watching them all the time in their games and training, so it’s his opinion based on what he sees. He went to watch Pearce in the under 23s as well.

I know what you are saying Spanish. It's just that I can't help feeling sorry for young Tom. Behind Douglas then Dallas now maybe even Alioski. Hopefully it will make him try all the harder to breakthrough although it could just as easily make him look for pastures new. Personally I was impressed with his performances last year and hope that his emergence is not too far away. In the meantime we just have to keep faith with Bielsas judgement.

I saw Pearce play for the under 23s and he played well in both defence and going forward, he linked really well with Jordan Stevens who was playing in front of him. I can only imagine Bielsa has tried different options in the training . I guess what is good is that, it’s one position that we have great options for!

I’d think he’d be telling Pearce his time will some but in a high profile one off match he favoured the experience of Dallas

dallas played ok so was not a bad call and think Pearce while dissapointed will understand and hopefully respond well.

It's alright feeling bad for him but if he played Pearce and he had a shocker/ got slated you'd feel worse for him.
