I doubt that Byram, Cook and Mowatt will still be here next season. If we were a Premier League team it would be difficult to keep all three. I just hope if we have to sell one it would be Byram. I do rate him I just think the other two are better, and to be honest i'm not sure which is his best position, dare I say a bit like Bale a few years ago. But Cook is the real deal, technique and composure he has at his age is superb, Whatever happens we need a winger, a creative forward, a right back and another striker.

Add to that a defender or 2 to partner Bamba and then you're talking.

The earlier thread from Bermondsey got me thinking about the worst players to play for Leeds. I have tried to keep it recent (2000 onwards so Brolin does not make the cut)and you may have to forgive the selection licence as some of my choices are not playing their "natural" position, however a pretty stinky 4-4-2 would be:

GK - Paul Rachubka
RB - Armando Sa
CB - Roque Junior
CB - Zoumana Camara
LB - Federico Bessone
LM - Gary McSheffrey/Lee Sharpe
CM - Paul Okon
CM - Kevin Nicholls
RM - Robbie Rogers
CF - Noel Hunt
CF - Billy Paynter/Cyrile Chapuis

Can anyone do better?

You forgot that great midfielder named Jacob Burns.

I wouldn't have put Sharpe in my all time worst players but would definitely found room for the mighty Tresor Kandol!

Thought about Burns but felt that Nicholls was worse. Other quality names would include; Carlton Palmer, Seth Johnson, Salomon Olembe, Ian Thomas Moore, Enoch Showunmi and Ryan Hall

Kandol scored 10 that season in League One, he didn't deserve a mention. What about Billy Sharp? or even Constantine

He might have scored 10 SMitch but I still think he was bobbins. Saw him enough to make my judgement on him and no Billy Sharp shouldn't be in.

agree kandol was very decent player. Jason Brown has to be in with shout as keeper although racrapka has the 1 shir for me. calrton plamer was decent/good for us I know wilko really rated him and sharpe was good and pre 2000, flower also got some goals. Killkenny also for me, seth jonhson as captain with dubbery as centerback (no need for another with dubes keeping strikers at bay) jody morris great shout forgot how much I slated him. and plently of forwards here are just some. Derick lilly, Ian Rush and mark hatley (record for least team goals in prem) michael rickets, Enoch Summni, Leon consitine, clyde winheart, . can I say I love how my threads often lead to. so let's name some pony leeds players

{Ed001's Note - didn't Rush play in midfield for Leeds? Certainly he told me he did.}

09 Apr 2015 23:11:42
definatly not Rush was our main point of attack, partnered by Mark hatley or derick lilly although yeboha and deane were also at club. He wore number 10 and scored about 3 times in roughly 40 games if I remember correctly. our midfeild would of been bowyer and plamer. I am pretty sure that team holds the record for least goals in prem season. feel sorry for the fans who had season tickets that year as 1st in charge for george graham. stil lthings got a lot better for a short while

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - well then you need to tell him that, as he says he played a significant number of the games in midfield.}

10 Apr 2015 09:44:29
he may of dropped back in midfeild for odd game or part of game but truth is he was just passed it playing up front. he needs to watchthe 96-97 season review. I am happy to post it to him mark hately and derick lilly the most ineput strikeforce in prem history. will look over video to see if it is noticible he drops into middle of the park over bowyer and palmer. Any fans in the stadium remember this as would interesting he must of played there a bit and maybe a lot or is it just excuses? I did look up his stats he scored 3 in 36 games not good even for midefileder ;)

just watched video it is online on a poularvideo shareing website. rush was number 9 he may of played a little bit here and there but all of his positioniong on the video suggest he played as a number nine although he was outscored by a veryyoung ian hearte. Great at liverpool one of the best but pony at leeds dispite any excuses

and we've forgotten MORISON STRIKER OF THE YEAR

If byram leaves we can't be too annoyed, he could have easily left 2 years ago when man city wanted him and he could have left last summer. Sadly I think his time at a top club is due and we are lucky to still have him now

good point and we can't kick up fuss but I still don't think he is that good. He would get know where near a top club 1st 11. he would do well to make it at a team like palace or newcastle. he is not even the best playerat leeds

Well I still think Kandol was pants BW. He might have looked good to you on the telly or when we played Milwall but he was a very average looking player in the third tier of football for me.
