Some great posts below and all with different views, which is great as it would be boring if we all thought the same! So here’s one for you. is TC and our team now, better than Monk and his team last season? Some posts are adamant that TC is not to blame for the bad performances but I think it is TC’s fault as he has made bad choices over and over again! He underestimated Birmingham and we lost, he said he wouldn’t make that mistake again, well he did against Newport! He says we don’t need another striker as what we have is good enough! Wrong again, he is naive, yes he’s new to this league which then makes me question why we got him instead of a tried and tested Manager! There is a lot wrong on the pitch and it really does need addressing, we are not strong enough to hold our position, simple as that, strengthen or miss out on the play offs or worse 2nd place! Oh and just because there are a few negative comments knocking about does not mean that the people who post these are not true Leeds supporters, all of us on here are! MOT

I think we're better this season than last, if only for the fact that we've actually thumped somebody this season. Last season's best game was the 1-0 thrashing of Derby!

The team are in similar positions this year as last year. Monk prob had a better team but no plan b and a bridcutt fixation which was our downfall. Monks tactics were negative. Tc prob has a not so good team but tries to play nice football but mostly fails. He has a plan b but it is often baffling. Neither are good enough for leeds and promotion. It is a shambles that all the transfer business done has only given us saiz and sometimes alioski. We did only need 3-4 good quality players. Not the 8-9 crap ones we got. So orta has to go too. As i said prev. Radz has hard decisions to make and the next two weeks will define our season.

Mike mate, I hear what you’re saying but what do you expect after losing three of our top top players? I’ve only called out one geezer on here because he puts down everything associated with Leeds. Manager players and even the Chairman. This lad said last week that the chairman isn’t investing and would sell as he’s only in it for the money.

Ok he’s not throwing money at instant promotion but that is not a bad thing. He has a three year to five year plan and we have to accept that otherwise we could end up screwed again. Yes I’d love is to get in a 10 mill proven championship striker but they are hard to get. It’s not as if we are near the arse end of table and I’m prerty sure you and everyone else would of accepted top six at turn of year. We ain’t playing great but we are still up there. That’ll do me at this moment in time.

Absolutely with you on that CW, I don’t believe for one minute Radz would sell up, he’s put to much thought in to what he’s doing to just sell up. He is the best owner we have had for a long time and he will get it right. You know yourself CW it is a bloody nightmare supporting Leeds sometimes, it is a bit like following England, one minute it’s all good the next crap, I just wish we had some consistency on the pitch and in the transfer market. I will say this though, Orta sourced players for Boro that got them promoted but when he left they spent some money on some bad signings, so maybe he might come good but I just wish he start looking at what’s under his nose! Personally, apart from the insightful Swadlad, I'd never question anyone on heres allegiance to our club. Opinions are opinions, and every one of them is relevant, and there to be disagreed with, or vice versa. I much prefer TC to Monk simply because of the style of football we try to play, and I agree with some others that he has over delivered so far. Radz is here medium to long term, and has proved that thro the repurchase of ER. With such an investment on that front, I really can't see massive squad investment this window, much as I would love it. I am however, confident, that Radz, Orta and TC can deliver on their goals, and our dreams, by returning us to the PL within 2 years.

Swad by his own admission is a Spurs fan so you don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to work that one out. Everyone else on here i believe is genuine - some people see the glass half empty, the others half full but generally all top comments and good opinions. I don't like it when people accuse others of not being fans due to their comments - as a 'fan' you are entitled to opinion it doesn't mean you can only say good things about the club. As long as you support the team financially, go when you can and get behind them on the pitch that's all that should matter.

Alf, top post mate 100% agree. I've posted a few What Have been seen as negative posts of late but love this club with a passion and have done so since i was a lad. I have tried to say it as I see it and yes passion sometimes gets the better of me and I have my rant. One thing I always do is respect others on this site and their opinions but not necessary agree with them. Best Wishes to all Fellow fans, Wether You Are Of the thumbs up or down brigade

I see another site has suggested going for Swansea outcast Jefferson Montero who is currently on loan at Getafe. I think this is a good shout he always impressed me playing for Swansea and would pose a goal threat from the wing. Any thoughts?

Good call Leodis, that would be a good signing. I see on Sky Sports that, Wolves, Bristol City and Fulham are in for £7M rated Grabbon, which begs the question, why aren’t we? He is just the player we need!

Agree4 Disagree4

09 Jan 2018 22:54:58
Don't think we will pay anywhere near that amount for any player. we will look abroad if we strengthen. pay 7 mil and you have to pay the wages to match the fee, again, I doubt we will go above 20k a wk for any player, which sadly this season and seasons to follow will see us fall further and further from where we want to be

Agree3 Disagree3

09 Jan 2018 19:16:39
De Bock in strengthens the back line, what about the lack of creativity in midfield or strength and finishing up too? Links to both Adam Clayton and Jack Colback. Surely wages will stop both of these? Jack Marriott looks promising but still a gamble much like Roofe was. Seems more of a summer option or loan to buy. We need an experienced goal scorer to solidify playoffs - Grabban is mentioned, links to Ings but either way we need PROVEN players not gambles (lower league or overseas) at this point. MOT SM

How do we know de bock strengthens the back line? . none of us have seen him play yet, we said klich strengthened midfield and lassoga up top and that Pennington would be a decent centre half. think we should reserve judgement till we see the lad play. 🤞he will be decent

Now Aylings out for potentially the season we need to hope De Bock is ready. Fair comment though Leeeeeds. I have faith in Radz and his team to bring in some talent. If he wants to go up he'll show that this month, if not solidify our status and push on for next season. Maybe (controversially) that's his plan? ! ? MOT SM

3 targets for me, all english, all goalscorers, all suit our style. Grabban, Marriott, Armstrong. Take all 3 for a combined 10m personally but it looks like newcastle only want to loan armstrong. All better than what we have and all easily adapt to our style.

Please don't get sucked in by Posh marketing tactics, their players get a few few goals, they immediately create rumours of Leeds interest, put a totally over the top price on the players of £7m and everyone thinks that these players are the answer to our woes, we need prem quality not league 1 . Their chairman has to much to say and only uses Leeds to get his name in the papers . If the players are that good why do they want to sell them for only £7m and why do they not keep them themselves.

PA This post of yours backward in so many ways. How do you know it's an over the top valuation? Their chairman does have a fascination with Leeds but it appears genuine and respectful to me. Peterborough don't want to stand in way of bigger moves for their better players. They are realists. League One, you say? Only 1 notch lower than the Championship and they could be promoted. Then they're on a par with us. I believe both these players can cut it at championship level. As for finding PL quality, hard to do. For all our efforts, we only have 3. Pontus, RV and Saiz. Of course you can pay for it but then you're spending 10m+ on a player. Finding value is everything. Need I remind you of our double bankruptcy over the last 13 years? It's all about playing the odds. 7m on those two is a best bet in my opinion. We need British. Saving 50% on transfer fees by going abroad isn't the answer or are you a PML and Grot fan?

09 Jan 2018 11:16:52
George, as I say don't get sucked in. Bigger move for better players ? Think about it, its all about the money ! With a player valuation on the player being sold from the seller, who is trying to cash in on his asset for as much as possible as quickly as possible MOT

PA We live in a capitalist market economy and society. Things cost money. Players cost money. If you're this way for 7m, what have you to say about a certain 146m paid a few days ago? Do you think good players should automatically be transferred to Leeds United for zero £? Don't see how or why you claim it's "marketing". The Posh striker has bagged 20 goals this season and we only in January. He doesn't need marketing. Your posts make no sense to me.

Having looked at 'our squad' on Sunday it's made me realise that although I am not a fan of tc, I do think he's over achieved so far this season (in the league) . to be 6th with that squad is remarkable really, we have the same back 4 as last yr (Taylor didn't play that often) . keeper has weakened us, same midfield 3,Phillips, viera, o'kane. Pablo still plays, we lost someone who bagged us 30 goals. and have saiz and alioski, it's fair to say the summer recruitment with the exception of ss has been piss poor, we took a lot of money in for Taylor/wood, it's time to use some now and strengthen the first 11 (not the squad or under 23's) . I am not sure how many more foreign gambles we can take, we are getting the majority of these players cheap for a reason. most are crap. I think it's time to explore the English market and get players in who we know can play in the championship.

Good post Leeeeeds totally agree especially about the poor recruitment barring samu and Alioski, you have to question ortas judgement when looking at players, as klich average to poor Pennington not sure he's solid enough for championship, Cameron borthwick poor and attitude problem, lassoga not fit enough or mobile enough no passion, grot don't think he will cut it even though he's young he doesn't have any sign of skill/ability required, apparently Middlesbrough fans were also not impressed with Ortas ability to spot a player. Heres hoping de brock is in Samu's league (minus the spitting 😆) be great if we can prise the 2 Peterborough lads Marriott and their playmaker away from them but don't think AR will part with 10 mill+ for the 2 of them

I want marriott and maddison as much as the next person, but radz wouldn't spend 10m on flint and bryan? 2 players who are now showing that they're easily good enough for the next step. shame really but that's what happens when you don't take risks you don't get the reward. suppose cooper has been a revelation this year and captaincy has made him a fan favourite, by far the form of his career. if radz wouldn't spend 10m on 2 lads with serious potential then, why would he now? suppose now he knows the team, he knows his manager better, he knows what funds he has, and he knows how much this club want it. with he get his balls out all over sky sports news and splash on the two most talked about players in the efl right now, and make a statement to the reest of the championship, or will he spend 100,000 a month on another new coach who 'might get us another 12 points this season' which i'm still waiting to see. i know were being a bit spoilt of leeds' recent times and i'm sure there's tsill financial debt, but do you want the premier league mr radrizanni?

It is interesting to note that the core if the team are players signed during Monks tenure as manager, and i'll include Pontus in that number. He was a known quantity. Of the players brought in this season with the exception of Saiz how many have impressed? In my opinion none. Occasional glimpses but more often than not below average. I don't think TC is to blame for this. We seem to bring in cheap unknowns from abroad. How do we know if the next lot, Ideguchi and deBoek are any better? How is it that clubs like Peterborough and Brentford continue to get footballers? We need Orta out and someone with an understanding of lower league British football in.
