i think paynter will have a quality season this season, joined a new club and got a bad injury so had no time to settle in, after getting fitter in pre season i thing he will be scoring for fun

I think Jamie Vardy from Halifax Town would be a good signing... 23 goals from 13 league appearance. He wouldn't break the bank and with a bit of training, could be brilliant. Any thoughts??

Let's face it, the new signings, if any, will only commit to us once their own options have reduced and Leeds are the best of the rest. If we are looking at Premiership quality, then those players will all be looking for a top level deal before they consider the Championship. I can see us starting the season with a couple of signings and then a couple of decent loans coming towards the end of August when the transfer window closes.
Due to high premiership wages well forget these kind of players. The signings will have to come from lower leagues or from abroad i'm afraid to say.

Bromby is a quality player. He offers something different to our defence ..... He can actually run unlike the slow coaches at present. He played well at the end off last season. Get a grip we need to keep most of our players as cover as our squad is tiny
And he has a very accurate long throw in his arsenal

For all these people telling other people to relax in regards to signings. Transfer dealing isn't a spectator sport, and at the minute we are watching all the players we are interested in go to other clubs. We are getting left behind FACT. It doesn't matter if the transfer window has been open 1 week or 1 year. The clubs which are going to do well in this division next year ( west ham/Leicester ) have already acted. They have the hunger go be back in the premiership. I love Leeds simple as that but I am getting very worried that we will be a mediocre team next year if we don't bring in some fresh faces. As it stands we have a worst team than last season, and we missed out on playoffs. That speaks volumes. These quality free signings are not hanging around for everCome on Leeds, let me log onto Sky Sports and see "Leeds capture ________" not " Grayson is interested in _______"
I'm betting clayton is beter than johnson and nunez must be a good player after being honduras best player, it's not as bad as people think in my opinion.
We will probably sign a full back a center mid/def and a goalkeeper , i trust SG to come out with a decent side.
Don't kid yourself about Clayton - he's not good enough.
Their is no relaxing about it, every fan should understand that we cant afford a slow start to the season again, the new players need preseason to gel with their fellow teammates.

important news for all leeds fans, i am a scout for Leeds United and along with mervyn day we can both assure Leeds United fans of a few issues involving transfer speculation. Firstly, Leeds United are unwilling to do business with anyone involving the sale of any more of our current playing staff. Secondly, Leeds United will be strengthening with youth this season and lastly, we can also confirm that the club will be bringing in a first team goalkeeper, a defender and possibly 2 midfielders before the start of the season. thank you

Another Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Yeboah or Cantona find would be awesome but heard good reviews on Nunez. Lets just hope Becchio stays fit this season as the back up isnt good enough.

Desisions are still been made because they have lost all the keepers they wanted, back to square one as they say.
I heard from a good mate of mine that works at elland road that we have offered a trial to young Newcastle jets keeper ben kennedy would be a good pick up, but the jets are owned by a billionaire mining magnate so may cost a bit
How KS will laugh at us if we've lost out on all our GK targets.

Like most Leeds fans I was excited about this transfer window & pending season, still am a bit.
The reality is, and for the forseeable future, going to be quite different & won't match fan expectations.
Until we acquire new investment we are going to have to accept the fact that we won't be able to afford the most desirable players, but, as I've seen quoted a number of times on various Leeds forums, you don't always need to spend a fortune to find a gem I trust SG & although, like most coaches will buy an occasional "duffer" he can spot talent.
As a club we are becoming more stable, financially & from a football perspective. As long as we see progress on/off the field then it'll be worth the wait
I'm not a massive fan of pappa smurf but he's done what he could to stabilise the club...He won't be around forever & we're in a much better position to be acquired by someone with lots of cash.
I'm sure i saw on another forum talk of a fan/club purchase scheme..buy a Elland Rd brick for £5, that kinda of thing...That would help raise capital & help to give something back to the fans.
I know it's no ideal, just keep the faith
Unfortunately his duffers tend to be about 3 to 1 good player.
