another target missed, danny collins has join ipswish on loan from stoke, come on leeds lets get some decent players in soon

Believable1 Unbelievable3

I'm sick of hearing the same whinge now - because a player is available does NOT mean he was a target for gods sake, therefore how could we have missed out on him

How's about focusing your efforts on backing the team rather than childish complaining

Agree3 Disagree0

Since when was he a target

Agree2 Disagree0

Shut up jeez he was never a target

Agree0 Disagree0

He's sh.....t would never be a target or grayson mug

Agree0 Disagree0

Like we need to employ people who can't get into other teams???

I'm a lil bit worried about this here Forsell character if he's had a hangover for the last 3 years.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I've had one since we got relegated from the premiership.

Just seen Dave Jones driving through Linton (near Thorp Arch). Good shout for next manager or just a coincidence?

Believable4 Unbelievable3

No you didn't you were sat at school doing badly so you made up a rumour

Agree1 Disagree1

18:44 - schools on a bit late - maybe it was boy scouts

Agree1 Disagree1

More rubbish, concentrate on your homework instead of making up complete rubbish

Try geography homework as I bet you'd struggle to even find thorp arch let alone see Dave Jones there

Agree1 Disagree1

Is Thorpe Arch in Liverpool!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree1

You'll all be apologising when I'm right

Everyone is saying how poor Leeds activity has been in the transfer window which I agree with but in my opinion getting rid of the rubbish currently within the squad is an even bigger issue. I for one think Grayson has done a good job but how he continues to use Andy O'Brien is beyond me and to sign Darren O'Dea on loan a player who couldn't break in to the Celtic defence with Daniel Majstorovic in ahead of him come on now seriously is he really good enough for Leeds, Billy Paynter how he became a professional footballer only God knows, Paul Connoly worse than a headless chicken absolutely shockingly poor player and to top it all of we sign Michael Brown i'm sorry but maybe 5 years ago he would have been good enough. Grayson needs to admit he got it wrong with those players everyone makes mistakes granted but please just own up to them that way we can move forward. Does anyne disagree with me about any of the players I have mentioned??

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Give O D a chance mate - and Browns role is not what it was in his hey day - it is now very unglamorous - intercept - win ball and give it to Clayton or Nunez or Howson - his passing is good - keep possession
Billy will go out on loan to sheff utd or Burnley hope he does ok - dont be too critical our funds dont allow players to come in who we once could afford - those massive bank LOAN days are gone so lets accept it and just watch West ham and Leicester go BUST If they dont go up this year. 'Cut your cloth ...t suit ' as we Yorkshire folk say

about time hay told it like it is and took his rose tinted specs off - makes me think he knows something we dont - why is he all of a sudden being critical - larry has lost some respect i see - but the report is accurate and long overdue - we will get Loan players and they can do a a job - dont dismay - i predict a good win tomorrow - but fredman doing a strling job at palace so wont be easy - 3 points is a good sign - cos the palace team are fit and talented

I posted something similar at the start of the new season regarding Grayson either being very shrewd or having his hands tied by Uncle Ken. Do we have a team strong enough to challenge or are we just going to have an obscure season finishing in mid-table?

Personally I don’t think the team we have is strong enough to push for a top 6 place. I can hear the die hards shouting now “We finished 7th last year And it was our first season back”. We can put out a very good 1st 11 out, but like last year when a change was required we had little in reserve.

Tomorrow and Bristol City are massive games and we can’t afford to slip up, cos these are two teams that will be mid to the bottom half of the table. I just hope we can keep within touching distance of the top 6 by Christmas and assuming we do this will show Bates and the boards true intentions.

Is Forsell a desperation move from Larry to show he can sign someone! We now have more strikers than we need (Keogh;Bechio;Paynter;Somma;Nunez;McCormack and Forsell)- not forgetting Larrys obsession with accommodating Howson behind a lone striker. We need 2 holding midfielders and have done since Johnson's departure. Howson does not do enough or is strong enough in central midfield (4-4-2) and playing him in a forward role makes redundant all but one striker. Clayton has the potential to control games but for goodness sake whoever he plays in Central Defence are exposed every week because of our lightweight midfield.
Time to admit Larry that building a team around Johnny Howson has restricted formation options and frankly has failed.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

4-3-3 a possibility then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Paynters goin out on loan, nunez is not a striker, somma's injured long term, so we have four strikers avalable! I think thats the reason for it. crap argument.

Anyone who feels like defending Leeds' summer transfer policy ( and there are some!) read the article by Phil Hay in the YEP.....really well set out, incisive balanced article, that shows the failings and contradictions of how we have conducted business this summer. It is--

www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk:80/sport/leeds-united/latest-whites-news/leeds_united_short_term_deals_now_all_that_s_left_in_the_window_hay_1_3756753

One thing is for sure, the emergency loan market will not make a telling difference to our squad and prospects for the season.

He was in my reading describing the options for the game against palace not for the season.

Just been on OS. SG trying to break it to us slowly re no further transfers-

The United manager must make two changes from the side which lost to Ipswich Town last time out - both on the left flank - with Aidy White suspended and Max Gradel now no longer with the club.
"We've got players there who can come in and do a job," said the boss. "Charlie Taylor and Ramon are both more than capable so there's a couple of options there even if we don't bring anyone else in."

It has to be a concern. We are really light on numbers still in midfield. We have the numbers in defence, but we still leak goals and light on quality in defence. Hope we will at least get some quality loanees with the money we should have available. Though SG's loan signings haven't always been great!!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Those comments grayson made doesnt mean we arent getting anyone. he is saying that taylor and nunez will come in IF we dont get anyone else in...IF is the key word my friend. i would be very surprised if SG doesnt get a couple in on loan next week or at least today

Agree0 Disagree0

Prepare to be very surprised.........

I am. In a bad way.

take a look at this video leeds fans he is still looking sharp !

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z56YGD2He8g&NR=1

Marching On together {Ed001's Note - get the best out of that lad and he is unstoppable. If only he hadn't suffered so many injuries he would still be at the top level, he really is a class striker.}

I liked Pugh first time round thought he was a good player in a crap team. We've got better players now though so remains to be seen if we are interested whether he'll still be looking so good. Howson/Clayton are better than gregan was.
Snoddy's better than eddie lewis was.
White's far better than crainey was.
Struggle personally to see where pugh fits in in this side, and why he'll come back to leeds to fight for one of the 5 places on the bench.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

He wouldnt have to fight for the bench, he can play in a few positions so would be great for the bench. also could put snodders on the right an him on the left

Agree0 Disagree0

No way is snodgrass better than Eddie Lewis!

Forssel is a good signing, an international, proven score, previous clubs chealsea, birmingham and hannover, hungry for goals Lets hope he can produce, on the other hand we have got becs somma mcormack keogh forssell and nunez in contention for 2 places, yeah that seems strong! but somebodys not going to be happy.. Lets hope we get some defenders like pugh, soars, van the chelsea man and hopefully ephriham for qpr, then il get excited! MOT

Believable1 Unbelievable1

He may look to play mccormack out wide to replace gradel with forsell and keogh up front? any thoughts

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will see more of Nunez and McCormack on wings, however, Becchio, keogh and forsell are all similar players, so it's going to be a tricky one, because if he plays two of those together, long ball springs to mind! And I for one am not a fan of that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont forget billy
