just arrived home to find that my ticket for tomorrow has not arrived via the post. Be on the phone early doors to the ticket office. whilst I am at it I will ask where this season's membership card is. MC cannot blame the others for this oversight.

I have been thinking about what mass getting 100% really means, why now?!
Am I reading to much into it thinking that it's because there is a real possibility of a takeover and it was either part of the deal, or to make things easier for it to go ahead?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

09 Sep 2016 19:22:12
No money paid for GFH shares, but they are still owed £17m which will be paid at £1m pa until 2032 this is to protect their debt while the alleged takeover takes place apparently.

No money paid for shares - investment bank! Are you sure? if MC has got 17 mil interest free then fair play to him. It won't have investors flooding in though if GFH are still hanging around with a debt they could call in. It wI'll be interesting to see the next financial statements when they are published.

Well Bridcutt captain is another pleasing event, although a no brainer in my opinion. Just want to hear that's he's bought ER back after a win tomorrow and we can all be like pigs in Humvees, or whatever word the Ed's replace rubbish with.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

09 Sep 2016 21:27:25
Humvees? Where did that word come from? Have we now got a bot ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - well I do have a nice bot Speedy, it often draws compliments from the ladies.....}

09 Sep 2016 21:42:56
But more so the men Ed001 especially from Berm.

Team to beat Huddersfield Town

Sylvestri, Ayling, Bartley, Jansson, Taylor, Bridcutt (c) , Phillips, O'Kane, Roofe, Sacko, Antonsson. 4-5-1.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

09 Sep 2016 18:25:55
About the best line up I think- certainly at the back. Options Dallas for Roofe for more solidity but that would probably be too defensive. Hernandes for the last 20 -25 minutes. Other than that nothing really. Wood and Antonsson is not really a potent strike force from what I have seen. Vierra - not really just yet.

Agree1 Disagree1

09 Sep 2016 18:29:39
I would stick with Silvestri, what he needs is training and tuition, not undermining with someone like Green.

Still can't understand how we let schmeikels go and where he is now?

Bang on Lancaster. He has to play the homes games.
On the wing. No10. CM I don't care where but he has to play the majority of home games.

4-5-1 with 3 defensive minded mids? That is how you set up to try wrangle an away 0-0 against a far superior team, not push for a home win. For me we have three options if we are pushing for a win (so to save message length, take your keeper preference, honestly think they will both concede around the same, plus Ayling, Jansson, Bartley, Taylor as the back 5) -
a) 4-3-3 If you wanna go with 3 DM's (Bridcutt, O'Kane, Phillips) then go with 3 up front - Antonsson, Wood, Roofe. Leaves us narrow and the FB's will have to run their socks off but would give us good scoring potential
b) 4-2-3-1 Bridcutt, O'Kane - Roofe, Hernandez, Sacko - Antonsson, for me the best all round we could put out
c) 4-4-2 Dallas, Bridcutt, O'Kane, Sacko - Antonsson, Wood.

Good afternoon pop pickers.
My tips for tomorrow are Barnsley, QPR and Bristol City in a treble, 13/ 1. Not cracking odds but can't see much more at the moment. Obviously I'd have picked LU in there but not betting on my own team ever again, heart rules the head more than ever this season so far.

Lucas, my old mucka, I've gone for Leeds, Lincoln (away tricky) , Luton and Bournemouth. £10 acca pays out £339.02 or sweet f**k all when none of them win! Doesn't stop us from trying though does it?

Down the pints, Up the Whites!

09 Sep 2016 14:39:29
MM, nice picks n odds. Was tempted into the b'mouth and not sure why I didn't spot Luton, a home banker at evens.
Just a bit of fun, something to brag to the missus bout if a win comes in and all in the vain hope that we come on with a winner.
Good luck with yours and enjoy 'spoons.

Alf, it's all part of adding to the saturday matchday fun and excitement.
Last bet I had come in was a few months ago. on the end v wales, wales winning at HT, eng at FT @ about 30/ 1.
I know there's a few other fellow flutterers on here that like a little banter.

09 Sep 2016 18:32:28
I bet on horses, there are usually more than a few thousand possibilities of predicting the exact result for first/ second/ third and taking each way betting into account add to this.

Even predicting a Leeds win/ draw/ lose is far higher odds these days.

I for one am sorry to see Gfh go.
We will miss their business acumen, financial input, football knowledge and most of all their fabulous rapport with the fans.
Sad, sad day!

Fantastic news about MC, 100% control and should be a motivator for the the mighty whites against the dog fiddlers.
Also, I notice that their manager has just won manager of the month, the good old kiss of death. Nailed on that we're going to turn them over.

P. S. Jeff, you didn't give us any cryptic messages about this great MC news, why?

09 Sep 2016 08:41:21
Agree Lucas - happy days re no more GFH and yes MOM award often leads to a defeat so hopefully feel good factor at Elland Rd will be there, reckon we could get close to 29000.

hopefully most moaners will get behind the team rather than getting at MC, who to be fair has done well getting rid of those nasty boys from the desert!

On Saturday I would be tempted to play 4-2-3-1.

Jansson/ Bartley as CH's to deal with balls in box, Bridcutt/ O'kane which allows a 3 of Roofe/ Sacko and Pablo just behind Antonsson.
To me that looks solid and potential to attack well.

Looking forward to it, got to win for monks sake as give him a bit of time, don't want? about sacking him to come up so 3 points will stop all that (until the next game anyway) .

Feeling positive all over, must be that Friday feeling.

dg good call, GFH ARE GONE .
Long have I spoken out about these persons .
Now we can start to judge M C in full .

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Sep 2016 14:24:42
Delighted that GFH the penniless bank have gone, although worryingly they 'can still draw money from the club until 2032' whatever that means (anyone? eds? ) .

This could mean that Cellino wants to:
a. sell the club 100%
b. invest more to get us to the Premier League knowing any additional profit will not mean GFH make more money without investing any more money
c. sell some of the shares but still be majority shareholder
d. sell some shares but still be minority shareholder
e. something else that I haven't thought of but may also be possible

personally I hope its a or b and both lead to the investment we need to push on

anyway, an historic day.

MOT friends.

Terrific news. Well done Massimo. We should use the event to its full benefit by announcing the news over speaker system before the game on Saturday perhaps with a theme or emphasis of ding dong, the witch is dead. That'll really get the crowd and players pumped up.

I'm sure that bloke with long unprouncable Italian name will take some shares now and his money will eventually be used to re-acquire ER and training facility.

I see Gary monk has been quite out spoken tonight I think he knows masimo is going to sell and the next buyers have said they want him as manager so he is free to say what he like about the controversy on sol bambas release and that it wasn't for personal reasons it's coming hope next owner is willing to invest as I for one think it's realy sad to see us where Weare at the minute MOT.

Buzzing great news. I expect ER to come back by end of next year. Now we can move forward, I don't expect cellino to sell, may sell some for investment into club but he is in it for the long haul. Full credit to him. Skint my ass.
