I’m a tad disappointed to see that tomorrow’s predicted line up could include Cooper in the back four, in truth I would like to see Cresswell given the opportunity to impress, I’m not knocking DF but i would like to see what Cresswell can offer to that back four in place of Ampedu. Amps is not out by the way but they have him in midfield in place of Gruev, all hypothetical at the moment as the only opinion that matters is DF’s but it would be good to see as I believe he has it in him to play at a good level. Views boys? 👍.

If Cooper and Piroe start Leeds win looks well iffy . draw more likely

So Stuart has been speaking about his injury and recovery whilst commentating on NI.
Stating that he is aiming for the end of the season to be involved playing.
Myself I cannot see dallas making any more meaningful contributions in a leeds shirt.
I am thinking if we go up his contributions would only be as a fill in player at best.
I think like ayling he would be more suited to a lower league where he would get more minutes.
It would be a shame if he can get fit after 2 years to sit on our bench.
I don't like it but I've said it now.

SD great servant for LUFC . exceptional in EPL season 20/ 21 his 2 goals to win for 10 man Leeds United to win away at Man City will always be fondly revered.

It would be really fitting if we were already promoted when we play Southampton and maybe he could make a cameo appearance. As Baz says, the performance at Man City will live long in the memory. A fine servant for our club.

In his mind he probably still believes he’s got another good two years at a high level left in him and that could still be in the Premiership. You could always take inspiration from James Milner, never say die and never give up. He was one of our best players in the Prem until he got injured. I hope he makes it.

But hopefully SD can somehow recover.

In my opinion we saw the best os Stuart under bielsa. Supremely fit and in a dynamic system where he could simply out run his opponents.
I think apart from being 2 years older he will undoubtedly of lost a yard or two. Plus getting match fit after that layoff may cause complications with his injury and throw up new ones.
Prem might be a bridge to far.
I think the comparison with milner is valid to a point their attitude to the game is similar and 100% effort. JM is always been the better player but as has been said has avoided the big injury.
Maybe Stuart would make a good player coach. I assume he has got his badges?

That is not confirmed yet Baz so don’t be worrying too much! Gruev has hurt his ankle but has light trained today, but we do have Jayden who can fit in nicely, Georginio has trained already and he is 50/ 50 for Friday with DF hopeful, we do have Piroe, Willy has a hamstring issue but not as bad as first thought but we have the amazing DJ so no worries there and Roberts was taken off as a precaution but if not fit we have Byram, and to be honest if Firpo is fit we could put young Archie up with Camara, so it’s not that bad, yes if we were playing Leicester or one of those top teams I would be a bit worried but we are playing Watford, so for me we are still more equipped to beat them even with some first team players out of action, so chill Baz my mate! 👍👍👍👍.

Baz, you used to blame the kit for away defeats, but that’s not applicable anymore is it, now it’s Piroe! I think your predictions are tight seeing as though Leicester have had players on international duty and they play before us, Ipswich the same and Southampton too, so it’s definitely a tough call. I’m with OP and Dill on this because, Piroe is a good player, he just needs to find a balance and due to our front four flying at the moment he hasn’t been able to put right his poor displays. Yes extra time could have been done without in Wales but these are super fit players and Rodon and Ampedu will be super up for this because they will not want 2 disappointments in four days. Then there’s DJ, well there are plenty of world class players miss penalty’s and it’s never a problem unless your name is Patrick Bamford! Finally forget Leicester and their points deduction because it is NOT happening this season but what could happen is that their heads could wobble because of it all, so let them get on with it. We have 12 wins and 1 draw in 13, that tells me that we will beat Watford but I think there will be significant points dropped by our nearest and dearest over Easter starting on Friday, also and most importantly Connor Roberts still has his moustache on which is still working well because he is still undefeated while he’s had because although Wales got beat he was substituted before the penalty shootout! So come on Baz show some optimism and stop looking for the negatives, you just might start enjoying your weekends again! lol 😂 Super Leeds - Prediction is Watford 1 - 4 Leeds United, DJ scores a brace 👍👍👍.

Woody . does Piroe fit a DF system and especially away from home? Results suggest not so much ;

watching Piroe play away from home, very slow, hardly involved, especially the December matches feels like Leeds have 10 men at times on pitch and more likely to concede / lose .

Woody : so what's your score predictions then for Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton matches?

Agree0 0Disagree

27 Mar 2024 15:52:01

Predicting Leeds get a draw away ( a la Rotherham, Huddersfield, Hull ) : shock, horror. how dare one! 😀

Berm rather than continually focus on your obsession Bielsa ( and KP )

it would be more apt to compare your fave Farke and his EPL squad with McKenna and his L1 squad

Facts are comparably McKenna is considerably overperforming with the squad he has ; McKenna doing ( far) better than Farke this season if one tries to be impartial no Leeds United bias

Honestly.

Agree0 0Disagree

27 Mar 2024 16:25:23
How is McKenna doing FAR better than DF Baz? We are above Ipswich, we’ve beaten them twice 3-4 and 4-0 so that statement to me is ludicrous! I totally agree with your overachieved statement but far better than DF, really? On Piroe. Why would DF go for him if he didn’t fit into his plans? In all truth I think we went for JP in case Bamford never came back to full fitness, but he did and he’s on a good enough run to keep JP out, but next season I think Bam Bam will be gone and we will look at Piroe stepping up with young Joseph in the wings, just my opinion though, this does not mean I’m right and everyone else is wrong! Baz can you remember what you predicted for Leeds scores for the last 13 league games? It’s just you always seem to be playing the over cautious card, live a bit, go for a 6-0 Leeds win, through caution to the wind and get that Friday feeling flowing through those ice cold veins mate! 👍👍.

Ipswich's so called league one squad currently got 4 players on loan from premiership teams.
International players from Wales, Nigeria, Australia, Egypt, Ecuador, and Jamaica.

Plus others with premiership and championship experience.

YES, they doing brilliant and all respect to them for that.
If Ipswich get up into the premiership this season how many of their current team will play, won't their owners spend on better players? . No guarantee to stay up but surely if relegated they will have a better squad than most championship teams.

Don't get the fascination with Ipswich and McKenna, more than happy with Leeds Utd and Farke.

27 Mar 2024 19:10:33
Baz I know your predictions are spot on sometimes but this McKenna v DF is bordering on ridiculous! Ipswich have Moore up front on loan, and they have many players who are sought after, so they are far away from being a League One team! Yes Leeds have Georginio £35M but he was bought in the premiership and he was doing nothing and I mean nothing, we nearly let him go to Dortmand but thankfully we didn’t, but DF has turned him, DJ, Willy, Archie, Meslier and Bamford into great players again, he brought Byram in, Anthony in, Roberts in and along with Cry who wanted to leave, he has worked wonders, you have to admit you don’t have to give much motivation to (like you said a League One team) searching for the promised land, no, but to a team of ex premier league players who think they are to good for the Championship with the price tags they have takes a lot of man management and with all the loan leavers at the beginning of his tenure shows his level of management, plus there is the small matter of DF pulling back a 17 point deficit, I can’t recall McKenna and Ipswich having any of those problems. DF head and shoulders above McKenna and he’s not an ex Devon melt eh! So give your head a shake my fellow IKEA shopper, what ever that is? lol 😂 👍.

McKenna’s done well with what he’s got but all will be for nothing if he doesn’t make promotion after all this massive over achieving this season. For the moment McKenna’s stock is very good but if they don’t make it to the Premiership this season they will most certainly in my opinion have nowhere near the success next season . Just as much as his success this season has made his stock very high right now, he might be absolutely pants in the Champo next season and probably will be if he stays.

You can only judge Farke and McKenna, who is the better at the end of this season.
Don’t forget Farke and Leeds were a huge 17 points behind Leicester in top spot and where are we now?
Don’t underestimate Farkes achievements this season so far.

Well said OP we are on the same page, I think WE are overachieving measured with the start we had mixed with all the loan problems and players not wanting to play for us, DF has done a remarkable job and IMO he’s connected with the fans probably more than Bielsa did! Mckenna has done a brilliant job at Ipswich. He has built a strong tight squad and he has rode the winning wave from last seasons promotion and continued it all season. They have a certain way of playing and have been quite lucky with injuries they have not missed important players.
Farke has done well getting the team playing well and closing the gap to the top. Mckenna has done well keeping a lesser team at the top all season.
I would say our calibre of player means our appearance at the top a little less surprising.

Mezzer . most of the Ipswich L1 players remain

Plus they signed, Jack Taylor from Peyerboro, George Hirst from Leicster and Al Hamadi from Wimbledon total arounf £4 millionn

Yes the loan in. Jan of Kieffer Moore was a very good one, Hutchinson from Chelsea decent

They are certainly overachieving.

They carried on with their promotion momentum, most teams do, obviously they’ve exceeded that bounce more than most teams would. They’ve gone behind in most games and have been very fortunate to make second half last minute winning recoveries with a large pinch of luck. Conceding as many goals as they have is not a good sign of a team doing very well, as I’ve said, a lot of good fortune involved with their victories and having little to no injuries also a tad fortunate.
Their style of play has been very borderline as far as the rules go, Championship refs being very lenient on fouls and time wasting has been in their favour also.
Basically they’re getting away with one in a number of their games.

He’s done a good job, yeah. Good for him.
Don’t get this outpouring of praise for him tho, as personally, I don’t give a cack about him or his team unless they are losing. Farke has tactically outmanoeuvred him twice, and he looked bemused and clueless both times, which was hilarious.
I’ve said it before, if they don’t go up, they will fall apart next season, and I still won’t give a cack about him, or them.

Suggest you rewatch Ipswich 3 vs Leeds 4 . no way did DF " tactically outmanoevre" anyone that match. Ipswich dominated possession, had 23 shots and but for poor finishing should have scored 7 .

Leeds for once were fairly clinical with their chances and Sinistera was the difference who was was far too good for Champo.

Must be very frustrating for you to have got it wrong again. Your negative hyperbole posts about our club far outweigh my positive ones.

28 Mar 2024 14:48:48
Cork, i don’t deny that he has done a great job at Ipswich and has vastly overachieved this season in the Championship. My beef is if Leeds are Champions then Farke is indisputably the best manager/ coach of this league whatever any other coach might of achieved.
Whatever people might think that if you are one of those clubs that had been relegated from the Premiership, it most definitely doesn’t guarantee promotion the next season. I look at Leicester right now and if they don’t win all of their next eight games, there’s a possibility that they themselves could be in a lotto playoff situation, after being the absolute nailed on team for promotion throughout this season.

It might be a game too soon for Rutter’s full recovery so I think Piroe will deputize in his place. The Welsh boys will have to get over their disappointment, side before self. We absolutely battered Watford last time we played them with Piroe scoring in the game and I think he will again.
No reason to see anything but a victory in my eyes.
Ipswich had a tough time with Blackburn at Portman Rd and only just edged that game. Also Kiefer Moore will have tired legs as well, their luck has to end somewhere.
Leicester with bad recent form and points deduction could continue to curtail their season. Southampton not in the race.

Err,

the BEST player in history, Leo Messi has missed FOUR penalties for Argentina.

The GREATEST English goalscorer in history Harry Kane has missed FOUR penalties for England.

And missed SEVEN penalties for Spuds

Missing a pen? It happens sadly. there is a never ending list of players it has happened to!

Reallt Corkster. haven't seen it but doesn't surprise me . UEFA shambles number in its thousands.

Gutted for DJ, hopefully he’s not inundated with keyboard cowards, trolling him for missing the pen, clearly a proud Welshman and takes a lot of courage to step up and take a penalty at such a crucial time.

Hoping our promotion charge will give him both the focus and achievement, his displays have warranted this season.

Hope all our Wales boys go well this evening, more importantly they all come through injury free.

England…well choosing to flog the new purple away kit in a home fixture tells you everything you need to know and despair with the FA.

CA- White . I didn't see match but as I stated above Leo Messi and Harry Kane have missed plenty of pens. it happens

Far more importantly from a Leeds selfish perspective. this match and especially ET for Rodon and Ampadu is not great preparation with a vital Leeds match in under 3 days

And what's this about CR limping off. ugh.

Has anybody else seen the new Leeds United very overpriced basketball shirt? It would be interesting to hear your views because a lot of Leeds fans are saying it a stupid design and totally overpriced!

No but the shirts do fluctuate in price, very up and down 🤣.

Very good Dougie lol 😂 joking aside I find that £95.00 for a shirt with no sleeves is a joke and it’s £145.00 for the full basketball kit! Do the Americans not realise we are in a recession? On a different note, good luck Wales and Amps, Rodo, DJ and Connor, it’s your time, get it done and come back injury free please 🙏🙏 DJ to score in a 3-1 victory 👍👍.

Question lads. Should Leicester be docked the points this season or next, if they are to be punished?
Would you be happy potentially getting promoted on the back of their points deduction?
Would our promotion be devalued?
To me this whole points deduction, of whatever team, is a farce the way it is being implemented.

What I will say is that essence of the sport of football that once in the main mostly flourished 40/ 50/ 60;years ago has been very sadly diminished ever since.

Leicester will get a points deduction from EPL if/ when they get promoted.

Get us promoted don’t care how?

Hopefully we go up and all the teams get docked points…. We could end up in Europe just by not getting docked!

Take anything we can get, but it won’t be happening this season for sure.
