A nervy 3 points but 3 points it is.
Had bit of luck too with gnonto goal being a fraction offside.
Seem a bit ponderous at the back. Too many side way passes still. Out pass stats were atrocious and our corners were too compared to theirs.
But looked back to our devastating best going forward although could have had couple more.
Worthy mention to Jimmy and Willy. Fine performance.
Bambi with his sharp shooter boots on again?

Yes Leeroy! Firps well worthy of mention! Dunno how many assists that takes him to, but he offers a lot going forward, and can really swing a decent cross. He’s also quite strong in the air.

I love mes but he had a nightmare. There striker is a bit tasty and hope we get him next season.

Borough are on form was a big occasion and lots of neves but character and skill pulled through

Not sure Mez had a nightmare Baz? His defence was very questionable last night at times. I think he made some good decisions overall. Not sure what he could have done with any of the goals. It could be argued he was out of position for the third, but did anyone on our side see us conceding like that?

Changing the subject a little bit, I was encourage last night by how we dealt with the dead ball situations; lots of good strong defensive headers all night.

Agree with that Chris, had Mez not saved that shot and it wasn’t easy as his view was blocked, we might have been out of the auto chance.
Yes he didn’t have a great game this time but typical narrative from Baz who knows zilch about goalkeeping.

I'm glad we got the 3 points and that's all the matters. However, being picky I feel we were too complacent at 4-2 and plenty of chances to finish the game off. We didn't and our dodgy defending nearly came back to haunt us. Hopefully another 3 points on Friday and hopefully promoted by 10pm next Tuesday 🤞🤞.

A nerve racking game and we weren't at our best against a fired up Boro side and crowd. But we showed character and spirit to win it which will hopefully carry on on Friday. Win the last two and let's see where it takes us.

Yes mighty very pleased with the 3 points. I saw glimpses of the pre International break leeds side last night but there was still too much of the post.
Rutter looked like he was playing with a very slippery bar of prison soap last night not a ball. He did improve a bit 2nd half. He has not found his form or confidence after his op.
It looked like archie was pushing a bit higher at times. We got lucky with the gnonto goal but I suppose we were due a bit . I'll take luck. A couple more bucket fulls please for the next games.
Their striker latte looks like a cup full of special. His two goals were well taken. Could we swap with greenwood?

Latte Lath is definitely worth monitoring. His header was quality, and takes a lot of doing! Also showed up defensively a few times at important moments.
Tbf, the Smoggies did create a very good atmosphere, which made for a good watch.

Leeds have been on the end of a few dodgy decisions this year. A couple of hand balls not given etc. Though we did have a clear offside goal given last night so that was a little bit back. But it the inconsistencies that var was supposed to clear up that still keep popping up.

Coventry were given a penalty for handball at the weekend for a similar one to the forest shout. But I don't know why and I think they won't either. I just don't think var adds anything to the game in its current state.

I've had the same thought on this one. Leicester win will mean only one automatic place left for 2 teams but a Southampton win potentially makes it 4 teams for 2 places. i'd potentially want a draw? Saying that, whatever happens we need to take at least 7-9 points from last 3 games. But we all know that with Leeds, it's easier said than done. Hopefully we can start with 3 points tonight 🤞🤞🤞.

Southampton win for me. If Southampton finish above us to take an auto place, then I’d be surprised if Leicester and Ipswich aren’t also above us.

For me we have to win our matches (so Southampton don’t matter) , so want Leicester catchable with Ipswich, if either then slip up.

After tonight’s result, a Southampton win would be good for us I think as we will have 2 spots to go for instead of 1. Leicester are nervous, Leeds maybe over the nervousness after that win and then there’s non stop and totally unpredictable Ipswich Town. If we beat QPR Southampton can’t touch us, so that’s why I would like them to beat Leicester City. I think Hull City will turn the tractor boys over, and then my friends it will be squeaky bum time! 🤞🤞.

May I remind you of the word ‘Verbose’ 1970! practice what you preach comes to mind. There are quite a few on here that like to undermine and ridicule certain posters, it’s like a game to them, I don’t know why they do it, maybe they are bored, who knows, but it’s boring, not getting boring, just plain boring! MG said it in an earlier post about just posting now and again because of the usual content of crap being repetitive and boring. Maybe we should have 2 Leeds Banter sites, one for optimists and one for pessimists, then those that want to moan and put our team down constantly can and those that have the rose tinted glasses can praise and discuss our fortunes properly. George, I like your posts especially the informative ones, you have good opinions and your knowledge of Leeds is amazing, I’m not bothered about criticism of the manager or players because that’s what a site like this is for, opinions matter and are good to throw around, it’s just the other crap that gets boring mate, the little digs and point scoring that gets a tad tedious. It’s also really repetitive, if you read some posts and go back in the pages on here you will see how many times the same crap gets repeated, it’s boring mate. I just want to read about, Leeds, the team we put out, the good bits and bad bits, but not the constant DF is crap, DF needs to go and the constant ridicule of certain other posters opinions mate. This is a fantastic time to be a Leeds fan, we are up there, in with a chance of going up automatically, if not we have the play offs and a possible Wembley appearance! What’s not to get excited about? Super Leeds 👍👍.

You know what Ani, I was on the live chat tonight with, Baz, Whitey, Alf, and a few others and it was really good. Others opinions and views were respected, answered and it was all in good humour. It was enjoyable so it shows that being civilised between us all is possible. Baz made some bloody good points and with others including Alf, 1970 and Whiteman coming up with points it all made for good reading, nice one lads I really enjoyed it tonight. 👍.

At the beginning of the season I would have bet on Leicester and Southampton going up automatically, A few games ago I would have said Ipswich and Southampton. Now Leicester and Ipswich. Can't see Leeds doing it automatically and play-offs don't suit us. Its like a BBC weather forecast - one of their own looking out of the window and telling us what its doing. Every week the scenario changes with EFL. One thing that doesn't we don't convert many chances so when we are not making a dozen chances a game we don't score. ERGO we probably won't make it this season given our current creativity in the final third.

Talking of DJ, I thought he was taking the mick holding his ribs after that foul, but he did appear injured at full time. Anybody know anything?
That was a world class challenge on him last night that stopped him getting his shot away in the box to seal it, tho he did dither too long. We will need him these next two games, but Willy is a better all round player imo.
