I think we can win 4 out the next 5 with the villa away game being the tricky one for me . Start the new year top!

Most teams in the mix have easy games this weekend so it's important not to slip up.
I'm expecting villa and derby to push on so it will be Sheff Utd and one other to drop out. That will most likely then be the top 6 at end of the season.
It is still important to strengthen if the right quality player comes along jan. good teams strengthen while doing well. Not struggling.
And finally. I'd forgo the fa Cup this year. Unless we get cushy home times. And realistically we ain't getting to Wembley. So focus on promotion.

West Brom have got Villa and then Sheffield United, Villas second game is Stoke and Derby’s second is Notts Forest.
Boro and Norwich seem to have an easier couple but despite lots of goals recently, Norwich got a 0-0 at Hull. It’s so difficult to predict in the championship, as we know clubs like Birmingham and Blackburn can hurt you in their day and you can apply that to a host of middle ranking teams.

If we are really going to challenge for the top two, we have a fair set of fixtures through to First in New Year’s Day . Villa away is the key one but even that will matter less is we do well in the other games.

04 Dec 2018 09:10:52
As I said, most have winnable games this weekend. West Brom being the exception. I game at a time Spanish.
I’m not sure Forest will stay the course along with obviously Sheff Utd.
Strange to think pre fancied teams like stoke and Swansea. Might not even make the top 6.

04 Dec 2018 09:35:33
You’re right Aus about the one game at a time. I’m sure Bielsa will keep the focus on each task in hand.

04 Dec 2018 11:56:19
Who you play in this league makes little difference in my opinion. Especially over the xmas period when fixtures come thick and fast and you have the cup fixtures added in there as well. Any team can punish you if you are not on your game. Think Norwich deserve to be there and i think West Brom have the players to come again. The gap to third will help over the coming month and if we can widen it a little come Jan we will be in a strong position. FA Cup? Would love us to do well in it and it would lift the players as well if we got to quarters or semis but feel our main focus should be and probably will be promotion so would not be too upset if QPR put us out to be honest.

04 Dec 2018 12:15:34
I really agree about the fa cup. To me being in the crowd at Elland Road against Aston Villa, our last home game, with promotion still a possibility, that’s the cup final to me!

04 Dec 2018 17:11:05
Promotion already secured would be better, couldn't go through another Bristol Rovers!

04 Dec 2018 18:02:21
I think that the florists are the dark horses atm, they're on a Fulham of the last 2 seasons type of run, drawing more than winning but not losing many at all.

03 Dec 2018 22:07:00
Nice one Brentford.
Could do with a couple of wins now to open a gap.
Starting to get a bit excited now.
Could we finally be about to get out of this awful league.

03 Dec 2018 22:19:38
Go the Bees.

03 Dec 2018 22:56:10
Shows you how tough it is for everyone. Brentford rode their luck, but another good result for us. It would be nice to see two teams emerging over Christmas. On paper we’ve possibly got a slightly harder run up than Norwich, but from the 22nd Norwich have to play, Blackburn, Forest, Derby, Brentford, West Brom, Birmingham, Sheffield Utd and Us beginning of Feb. if they are still in the top two by then, they will deserve to be!

Beginning to feel that two will emerge from Villa, West Brom, or Us. Think Middlesborough, just not going to turn enough 1 pointers into 3. Villa game really important. Have to say, hell of a competitive league this year!

03 Dec 2018 23:05:51
Villa, wba and forest seem likeliest.

04 Dec 2018 11:58:41
Us and who cares.

04 Dec 2018 13:11:32
Too right Bige.

03 Dec 2018 22:00:41
Nice one Brentford an injury time equaliser and it went to 90 + 9!

Well my personal week of hell ended with an outpouring of emotion I’d bottled up, at the final whistle Saturday. The goading continues this week, seems Birmingham fans have no class too.

Anyway a fellow brother of the faith sensing my pain acquired tickets for the qpr game. so although I’m not having the best of times it just goes to show at Leeds we all stand together ( cue the frogs)

Can’t wait to see the boys play, it’s been too long

mot!

03 Dec 2018 21:29:12
Chin up mate. I’ve a feeling LUFC will give you reason to smile going forward. MOT.

03 Dec 2018 21:56:40
Keep the faith in Bielsa we trust

I know this is our time

MOT!

04 Dec 2018 18:04:57
Woody, if you're in the North Stand come down the front and say ehup :) I'm in DD102.

03 Dec 2018 20:48:02
It's been a sea of overwhelming positivity on here over the last few days! What's going on? I'm finding it all rather unsettling!

It's not the same without the "KP should be playing in the Bostick Evostick Premier"

'Radz is ripping us off and putting all the Leeds United money into his dastardly plan to control the world media".

'Orta is deliberately buying rubbish because he's still secretly employed by Middlesborough and he'll get a bonus when we're relegated. "

'The squad is so wafer thin Bielsa is going to play himself as the reserve goalie and Carlos is going to play centre back"

'You can never win anything with kids playing in your first team, they crack under pressure when playing in defence, they panic when presented with golden opportunities and they always concede goals when keeping"

Ahhh that feels better. Normal service is resumed!

Spaniard Sounds like Berm Wex and Whitewoman! Reliable sources of information that! I'd sooner listen to the Wizard of Aus even without his meds!

03 Dec 2018 22:16:20
Georgie, We don’t want to mess with the wizard of aus when we’re all going to be sleeping On his floor and being looked after by Mrs Auz!

04 Dec 2018 08:04:11
what a result, not seen the game yet as was in disneyland over weekend and spent yesterday in winter wonderland with kids watching peter pan on ice (would reccomend both my girls loved every minute) .

recorded game so watching today at some point, but what a result, this is the kind of game i expected us to lose. i don't rate sheff utd that highly and like many think they will drop off and not be one of the play off 4 but still a good side who get results. also great to see kp get man of the match, i always say he can't cope with the better teams and although not the best sheff utd are a better team so good to see him prove me slightly wrong, long may that continue, as for all this F. A cup chat. people rightly rave about our under 23s so play the majority of them, they get a run out we see how good they are its a win win.

04 Dec 2018 09:46:37
Welcome back Bermondsey, you’ve been missed! But I feel we’ve all been in winter wonderland as well and it feels like Disneyland.

Glad to see you warming to KP.

04 Dec 2018 14:18:19
true who needs mickey mouse when you have MB!

sadly the game didn't record so only saw the highlights on sky which KP didn't feature at all but then in his position it is easy to not be part of hihglights due to the nature of football

I am genuinely gutted to miss his MOTM performance against a better team as I didn't think he had it in him but if he can put his performances against the smaller teams against the likes of west brom and swans he will be a gem. still long way to go to win me round though. i'm nothing if not syincal!

03 Dec 2018 19:50:56
Away too QPR. get a rehearsal at the weekend.

03 Dec 2018 20:32:09
A rather nothingy tie, that gives us the opportunity to get through to the next round but perhaps with a few rested?

03 Dec 2018 21:36:54
Spaniard An opportunity to see our lesser players start such as Harrison Saiz Bamford and Roberts 😁.

03 Dec 2018 18:14:08
Well last week, the week from hell personally, ended with my beloved LUFC causing me to scream the house down at the final whistle.

A good chum, hearing of my news and the goading that’s carried on into tho week ( seems Birmingham fans are also snakes )

03 Dec 2018 18:21:40
Oops i hit return in error

Hang on

There’s more.

03 Dec 2018 18:25:45
Chin up fella, I have to put up with bloody Birmingham fans as family members, after the wba defeat one even said I was quiet now that my team was s**t, had the last laugh though 3 wins later and the villa v blues result. Remember mate no matter however tough times get, tough times don't last, tough people do!

03 Dec 2018 21:57:43
Cheers Mezzer

ALAW.

03 Dec 2018 14:45:40
A couple of questions for you to ponder! Given last years FA Cip disaster, how do we handle the competition this year?

Do we hope for a third round tie against a big premiership team and possible a valiant defeat and the chance to focus our troups on what matters?

Or a lower ranking team that potentially embarrases our first team or gets us accused of not taking it seriously?

I think I would go for the first choice, a team where defeat wouldn't knock the confidence if it came and a chance to test ourselves against the Prem. Bearing in mind who we are playing in Australia, I just wonder if the fates will conspire!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Dec 2018 15:09:15
Agreed Spanish, personally don't need FA cup distraction but think Radz may look at it as extra revenue stream.

03 Dec 2018 16:15:43
Spaniard To win the competition and gain European entry for 2019. Going far in the FA Cup good for confidence, experience, revenue, reputation building and it always vexes the authorities. So a super win all round. The possible downside of distraction from the Championship a risk I'm willing to take for these wonderful benefits. I dream of a last minute penalty save by BPF against Pogba at the Theatre of Hollow Myths followed by a diving header from Kemar to seal victory in a QF clash in front of 75,000 and watched on television worldwide with endless tweets and tshirts printed in our honour. Am I asking for too much?

03 Dec 2018 16:29:18
Have to agree George, I love the FA Cup and think we should do our best. Also, Bub wants to go to Wembley and not as a spectator :)

03 Dec 2018 16:55:22
Would happily pass over any chance of Cup glory Iif the resulting free time increases our chances for promotion. Remember - The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. Personally I would prefer not to see Wembly this year. Automatic promotion will do nicely, thank you very much, .

03 Dec 2018 17:05:05
This season, more than ever, I would not want a cup run to hamper our promotion hopes. I’d pass on a trip to Wembley if we can get promoted!

03 Dec 2018 17:44:04
I’m never had Georgie down as a romantic, definitely not a new one! He had persuaded me though as long as alongside a BPF penalty save, KP scores the winning goal by getting the ball in our box through a wonderful tackle, sprinting like the gazelle he is passed their remaining outfield players before calming lobbing the goalkeeper!

03 Dec 2018 18:09:43
George wake up! Come on wake up George you've over slept. No more horlicks on a dinner time for you young man.

03 Dec 2018 18:23:30
Probably reach the final playing the u23s and turn over Man City.

03 Dec 2018 19:05:50
Martyn Horlicks, you say? My late night tipple is tequila, dark chocolate followed by my punishing Mrs Integrity. Lorimer and Jimmy Floyd got nothing on me. I hit waaay harder. 😉.

03 Dec 2018 19:28:06
Fifty Shades of ale eh George 😉.

03 Dec 2018 20:15:31
Martyn Add another 19 bro! Then Mrs Integrity taps out into submission. When we get promoted, you tell everyone I'm having a party.

03 Dec 2018 14:16:18
i think any of us would have accepted this league position at the start of the season and been more than happy. Wouldn't it be nice if we were injury free from now on until May? I'm all for a few strong signings but would gladly swap em for a fully fit and uninjured squad of the players we already have.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Dec 2018 15:11:58
Totally agree Alf. Makes murmurings of new Jan signings far less important when you think of the squad we will have to chose from soon. Surely the injury gods must look favorably on us soon.

03 Dec 2018 16:58:40
I agree that we have the players that can get us up . If only we can get them all on the pitch. Well, at least any eleven of our choosing at any given time.

03 Dec 2018 17:06:42
Absolutely Alf. It’s amazing that we are where we are, given the key injuries we have had.

03 Dec 2018 18:10:52
Team before self instalked and running well brighty.
