They've started as we thought they would. We have to score first.

17 Mar 2024 15:52:27
How is that not a penalty.

17 Mar 2024 16:11:04
And a 2nd yellow. Jake copper could have had 3/ 4 yellows that half.

17 Mar 2024 16:07:48
I have no idea how he didn’t give a penalty, he not only fouled him but handled the ball. It seriously beggars belief? I sometimes feel that I’m transported into a surreal world when watching Championship games, refereeing decisions are definitely not from this dimension.
Their Cooper, I’ll be amazed if Harris keeps him on the pitch in the second half, his version of football is how he can beat up the opposition players. !

17 Mar 2024 17:11:28
OP it’s called Harris 💩💩💩football.

17 Mar 2024 17:21:14
Rugby tackled him, kneed him in the face, then handball! How much does a Champo ref cost per game these days?

17 Mar 2024 14:30:36
Extra Time beckons for Foxes at this moment. Let's hope it stays that way!

17 Mar 2024 17:21:53
😬😬😬 you can all blame me, that’s fine.

17 Mar 2024 07:46:25
Today’s game won't be a hommage to the beautiful game. I will be much like our irritating game against Hudds, plenty of fouls breaking up the game with stoppages, wasting time etc.
Neil, rat face Harris will have his players fully motivated to play their Cup final today and do anything just within to rules to find a result against us.
Like most of our Championship games against similar clubs this season, they do not entertain me. I will watch the game but I definitely will not enjoy it as a spectacle.

Hopefully a victory today and get one step closer to getting out of this damned league.

17 Mar 2024 10:31:33
Make sure we don't give soft set piece situations away will be a big plus. A 3 - 0 half time scoreline will do for me!

17 Mar 2024 10:33:25
I agree they have been on good firm since he had come back

He don’t okay great football but it’s functioning and has a game plan.

17 Mar 2024 12:29:43
Have to agree unfortunately. Neil Harris will have them
organised and is a bogey manager for us. He won’t set out to beat us but will defend and hope for the best. The referee is critically important. Fouls like those committed by HT cannot be let go. We then need to have the patience and guile to get through them in final third if we fail to score early. An early goal for us is so important.

17 Mar 2024 12:57:28
1. Must start DJ. long ball over top behind defence should be used.
2. Fast direct start. no faffing about on ball (at back especially).
3. Shoot hard and low when sight of goal.
4. no free kicks given away in our half.
5. vociferous ER crowd please. pretend the blue shirted opponents are Chelsea.

17 Mar 2024 13:00:42
Hopefully start fast score early, will sink Wall spoiling tactics

finish 4 nil.

17 Mar 2024 13:06:16
We get the first goal and we will run em over 🙌.

17 Mar 2024 13:42:38
Ruffling feathers, getting into our ribs, gamesmanship and a smattering of utter filth, I reckon! We need to dish some back. Just hope they don’t seriously injure anyone while we thrash 'em!

17 Mar 2024 14:41:22
DJ clearly preferred for when their defence tires. I can see that, but agree that he should be starting at home to push for the early couple of goals a put a strangle hold on the game in H1.

17 Mar 2024 07:36:49
Have a feeling today's game will be one of our toughest. Wall will set up to disrupt and kick us up in the air a la Huddersfield. Need to ensure we don't get frustrated and don't concede first.

Big response to town win needed. Give their gd a hammering.
Poke one in real early. Keep battering them.
Big big win needed.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Mar 2024 12:08:53
Win needed, but whilst a big big win would be nice it’s not needed. Even if we win by 1 our GD is better than Ipswich by 10 with just 8 to go!

Without giving Baz something to keep bringing up, our GD will not be relevant unless we’re tying for 2nd with Leicester (and currently we’re in a better position should that scenario happen) .

17 Mar 2024 13:12:40
Brockers GD has always been important

Another couple of thrashings of teams by Ipswich and it becomes too close fo comfort.

And even more pertinently . Leicester GD is plus 1 ahead of Leeds . we win today and then equal Leicester points accumulation in final 8 matches . winning matches by large scores useful.

16 Mar 2024 17:46:57
🦉🦉 did that on purpose. Yorkshire rivalry.

16 Mar 2024 19:18:29
Baz In that case, what would 🎼 have been had they not been making an effort? 🚜👦👦 for 🏆? Let me wash 👅 with 🧼 and 💦.

16 Mar 2024 19:33:55
Wednesday put the cue on the rack after the first goal. They were terrible.

16 Mar 2024 23:57:56
Top scorers now and greatly increased goal difference. Maybe I was wrong. Looks like they are hanging around to the end. Annoying.

17 Mar 2024 13:15:46
Fair play to you Aus in acknowledging that Ipswich have most definitely nof gone

Keifer Moore signing by Ipswich proving a key signing for their top 2 aspirations.

Pressure's on us now to put them Cork knees to the sword tomorrow.
No excuses, we've had a good rest.
Blast out of the blocks, score first and put the game to bed!

16 Mar 2024 17:09:28
We won't Blast away any team playing 6 at the back!

16 Mar 2024 17:47:00
6 nil thrashing?

Mon dieu!

Ce nest pas possible dans Championship.

16 Mar 2024 17:51:11
Ipswich making short work of their misguided critics 😮

Would not surprise one if both Ipswich AND Norwich were promoted this season

An East Anglia double whammy.

16 Mar 2024 19:18:57
Well done baz I’m really pleased for you as I’m sure we all are!

16 Mar 2024 20:03:02
Credit is all McKennas Berm .

17 Mar 2024 03:03:35
Sheff looked woeful. No fight in them at whatsoever and they were all over the shop. Rolled over and got their belly tickled after first goal.

17 Mar 2024 06:10:07
I won’t take offense too many sheds.
Being a cork nee myself. From near bermo
Certainly hope we stuff em.

17 Mar 2024 10:34:34
Lov it aus I’m with ya.

I got a few cockney family in aus as well ironically not the ones who got nicked! They ones who got nicked stayed in England!

17 Mar 2024 12:16:44
I got nicked after mate. So bloody thick these aussies. Need more settlers.

17 Mar 2024 13:43:11
It's not misguided critique, Baz. When you watch them, their quality isn't great. They look like a mid table side in terms of quality. But they do grind results out even when they play sh! t, as they've done with Rotherham, Bristol and Plymouth, for recent examples.

Yesterday, Sheff literally rolled over after that first goal. One of the worst performances I've seen this season from an EFL side.

Over the entirety of the season, they've definitely been greater than the sum of their parts. Had quite a bit of luck (amongst other things, 16 deflected goals last I checked) and their momentum from last season has played a role too.

Is what it is, but from what I've seen watching them multiple times this season, they are overachieving.

Annoyingly so.

So fair to critique them, but can't argue their results.

16 Mar 2024 14:54:20 Bermo, Not looking to get into a big debate would just like to note you say you saw Philips for what he was/ is My view on this is he is burnt out After Bielsa many of our players suffered this fate because of the intensity required by MB Then when players should have been resting over the summer Philips went to the Euros and was one of Englands best performers . While able to get to the level required to play at the top he couldn't sustain that physically, this is what Pep saw and then after this Philips confidence is shattered Needs a reboot but probably won't reattain those levels again For a period he was our best performer, probably Englands best midfield That's why City invested in him You cannot take this away from him.

Agree2 Disagree0

16 Mar 2024 16:37:12
Leeds1970 that Ipswich your taking about well I do hope😊
But you your are 100% he look done in just not the same player he Wes sitting on the bench didn’t help, sad.

16 Mar 2024 17:27:06
70 I don't think burn out is anything to do with KPs demise. Bielsa took a championship midfielder and helped him get fitter than he has ever been put him in a rigid system in which he flourished.
The fact he lost his fitness and turned up to man City overweight made pep not use him.
In my opinion it's a loss of focus after leaving leeds. This led to him losing his fitness over the closed season and he has lost all confidence by not being played.

16 Mar 2024 17:42:15
Ipswich are making up ground on our goal difference it’s going to get hard now win win every game.

16 Mar 2024 17:57:30
Spot on Ben
Nothing to do with burnout

Injuries in 2021/ 22

Loss of Match fitness from not playing at all 2022/ 24

Loss of confidence from being hung out to dry by Pep . bad man management 2022/ 23

England player of tournament in 2021 got him his move to Citeh .

16 Mar 2024 17:59:22
Whitey . GD isn't important according to someone.

16 Mar 2024 18:00:22
Not trying to take anything away from him. Just saying I saw him for what he was and still is when many including pep couldn’t see it.

Phillips is a player who of you allow him to play he will dominate the ball and hurt you… he showed this a number of times. Best examples of this was against Everton and Croatia… both games he was sat back off of and he played well with his range of passing…. Not taking away from him.

He is also a player who is too slow to be effective if you play against him. Mount showed that in derby game, Scotland showed it against England, man you showed it when he was at fault for 4 goals in 45 minutes!

He is not a dm… he is slow, easy to by pass and can not read the game… annoyingly I can not post videos on here but using footage on motd I showed 80 examples where he was at direct fault for being out of position and gave away a goal or free kick which led to goal.

Trouble is without that analysis which I had and showed while at leeds he looked like world beater because of passing not a useless player.

I saw this, called it out, showed this through analysis and now he doesn’t have rice next to him or playing in a leeds system which allowed him to be useless as Belisa didn’t care about defending everyone can see what I saw.

So not taking away from just saying as they say in the London Underground. I see it say it sorted…. all my what’s app groups that can see my footage and commentary (which is not suitable for under 18s or any of humanity) all praise me for this.

16 Mar 2024 20:14:33
Baz mate I no but if they keep banging them in it could well be.

16 Mar 2024 20:53:51
While I agree with some of what you say Bermo Phillips is a good player. He is slow and players can breeze past him but David Batty wasn’t exactly quick either. I believe he is more suited to international football with the slower pace and having more time on the ball.
As for having numerous clips of his ineptitude you could do the same on almost any player. Ronald Koeman was such a player. Unbelievable at certain parts of the game but on occasion could be a liability.
It’s all about opinions I suppose? You actually said before Shackleton was a class act and was way better than Phillips but I see Jamie as much as I like his endeavour a league 1 or at best Milwall level player.
Not taking the piss with Milwall bit by the way!

16 Mar 2024 22:07:49
I agree cork Phillips is good at what he does but too weak in the modern game because of his skill set.

I adore batty (who was a lot quicker than Phillips but then so is my nan and she died last year) but would batty suit the modern game.

Pace is so important now, high press, quick turn over etc all kill you if slow. That was always my point… if you let Phillips play he will kill your… but it’s Beth easy to take him out the game.

I was talking to a millwall first team player about shacks. I said o rate him… he does nothing well but does everything well enough

He said the same… in teaming he was a terrier that no one could beat, he can mark, he can tackle and is quick and mobile enough to do a job… just not flashy enough

As dm shacks offered more than Phillips but in modern game style over plays substance sadly.

17 Mar 2024 00:27:19
Berm you are very critical of kalvin.
How can he be so bad if he has played in a euro final and a world Cup for England? Yes he is and was limited in his abilities but in the system he played he was a good solid player.
In my opinion the only factor was the best version of kalvin was the version that was super focused and bielsa fit. When that kalvin left the building he was spent.
Every dog has its day but some have longer leashes.

17 Mar 2024 08:19:19
Agree with you Ben, Kal was a good player with Bielsa and his game. Fitness was the key word for Phillips and he hasn’t been the same since. You could say with all his injuries that followed were a cause of that period with Bielsa’s hardcore training.
He may be a spent player now but he most certainly wasn’t then.

17 Mar 2024 09:11:01
Maybe ben but I never rated him…

For me like beilsa too many focus in the strengths so didn’t see the weaknesses…. Rose to tied glasses… with both Phillips and Belisa I saw and appreciated the streanghts but unlike most also saw the weaknesses and felt over all the weaknesses outwieghed the strengths

I was very vocal about both and predicted both of the overall weaknesses and downfalls…. I got a lot of flack on here and rightly so

However years on it turns out I was right with both … of course they have good points but the bad points mean they have no place in the prem.

17 Mar 2024 12:41:56
Yes I know and read most of your posts on kp and bielsa before I joined this site properly. I too could see the good and bad parts of both parties. Kp was never quick enough or skillful enough for a top champions league like man City and had rodri in front of him. I often questioned his inclusion in the England team, but with the Southgate tactics, he was suited to that role where most of the play was in front of him.

A 100% fit 100% confident and 100% focused kp was able to overcome his shortcomings. I think maybe his mindset on leaving leeds may have reverted to the championship player that bielsa found 4 or so years ago. Bielsa's coaching and fitness regime was in my opinion a perfect storm for kp and I really don't know if he will find that storm again.

16 Mar 2024 10:39:06
Just reading of 9 players we could be selling this summer and felt that it was a little excessive however looking again it does seem that (apart from a couple) we could well easily see this exodus.
Two I would keep are Cresswell and Wober although I do understand that DF is not a great fan of Charlie and Wober is part gone already. Personally I feel that both of these can do a job for leeds in the coming years.
As for the rest, I have no problem with Gelhardt, Llorente, Firpo, Kristensen, Greenwood all waving goodbye.
There are two, however, that I am not sure about. Would be glad to keep but not unhappy to lose. Roca and Harrison, altho I do know that both are most likely gonners.
You may even add a few names to the 9?

Cooper. Bamford. Piroe. Dallas.

16 Mar 2024 13:50:16
Greenwood as good as gone I think.

16 Mar 2024 20:19:54
No to Harrison I like him I was very disappointed that he didn’t stay to help us when the going got rough he’s made his bed don’t want him in a Leeds shirt again, pass him on. I hope SD will soon be back .

There is a piece on 90 min.
Ooops. Nearly forgot. This is non football related.
The article says
How man utd can beat Liverpool. Such comedic genius.
Maybe hire the jackal. Could work. Have to I get 21 of the squad though.
Didn't actually read the article cause prefer football matter.
Heading made me chuckle though.
