Let, s not panic over the 3 results if we had a stable start like Leicester did and we had kept pace with them since Christmas we would have opened up about a 14 point gap now. Every team has a bad patch main thing is getting over it and winning promotion, look at the games Leicester have lost lately are they calling for the manager to be sacked I think not so get behind the boys especially Stuart and cheer them on to the premership.

10 Apr 2024 16:05:38
yep - most teams hit a bad patch from time to time and we are having that spell now. rotten timing maybe but regardless of when it hit our points total would have been the same. Just hope we arrest it in time for either still clinching auto or for the playoffs.

10 Apr 2024 17:29:01
Every team doesn't leave their best CF on the bench and in his place play an injury prone air shot merchant whose radar accuracy for goal equivalent to a hacked computer system navigating it's way through the Bermuda Triangle bearing a software c.v with no antidote.

All the best to Stuarty in his impending retirement at the end of the season. A model pro, and true asset to the club, great guy, the definition of versatile. Hope we get to see him on the pitch one last time.

Yep great pro is Stuart Dallas for Leeds .

lots of good seasons, goals assists

Always 150% dedication . one of the very best for dedication!

. tremendous stand out EPL 20/ 21 season

Wish him the very best in his future projects.

10 Apr 2024 14:49:49
Club talking to him about a role at the club, to retain his involvement. Hope they can agree on something.

10 Apr 2024 15:00:25
Man city goals a delight. Brilliant. My fondest memory of prem league revisited.
Great player. All of versatile talented loyal dedicated
And hard working.
Don’t trust Farke to time his swan song substitution right though. No chance.

10 Apr 2024 15:28:34
Gutted! Great bloke, good player and brilliant servant to club and country

I hope he finds success in his future endeavours.

10 Apr 2024 16:08:30
Sad news to hear he has had to call it a day. I don't think any of us thought we wouldn't see him in a Leeds shirt again when he sustainedhis injury. A great servant to the Club who always gave his all. His two goal performance at Citeh will live long in the memory. How fitting it would be if we were already up when we play Southampton and he could come on for the last couple of minutes.

10 Apr 2024 16:17:54
I hope they can keep him at the club in some capacity. Sad that he has been so close to getting back to fitness a number of times, then to have another setback.

Probably my favourite player since he came into the team.

We wouldn't have been so passive last night with the likes of him in the team.

Thanks Stuart.

Stuart Dallas, thank you for the great memories you gave us all while playing for Leeds, good luck in your retirement. You played massive part to us getting back in the Premiership, cheers Stuart 👍👍👍❤️.

10 Apr 2024 15:20:44
Didn’t post it for your opinion Baz because I already knew it.
Farke out now!

10 Apr 2024 15:30:41
Op… that picture was never a foul,

Mind you the bloke kicking bamford wasn’t a second yellow

The stone wall foul wasn’t a pen

And the bloke jumping up and punching the ball was not hand ball so what do you expect

Farke out… if he can’t get at least three pens a game he needs to go. Playing 12 men is no excuse!

10 Apr 2024 17:50:54
That particular photo was not a foul but it’s the grappling and the pulling down our players that the image was supposed to portray.
I think rubbishing the players and the coach as if they didn’t care and not giving 100% is thing that I don’t like.
The international break brought injury, fatigue and disappointment back to the club with several of our players.
It hasn’t helped us at this crucial part of the season.
When slagging off certain players and our coach, just remember it was the same players and coach that produced that amazing record breaking run from the 1st January.

10 Apr 2024 18:26:20
Great post OP, in addition to your words I would like to add say, look at the players, Georginio, Cry, Gnonto, DJ and Bam Bam when they keep getting fouled, they look frustrated and angry at constantly being man handled and brought down, they do care and they do hurt if we don’t win! They constantly ask the ref to do something but it’s always put down to our player moaning, then when we get a valid claim for a penalty it’s overlooked because of the amount times we moan at the ref, this really is a valid point and it’s noted that when we are allowed to play football we are superb but this is what happens when we can’t, it must be so frustrating playing football agains rugby teams! 🙁.

11 Apr 2024 00:56:14
OP What do you expect from a club who has a player called Huggins (who we should have kept) ? 🤣.

10 Apr 2024 13:06:26
Why is it always Bamford who gets the slagging?
While he wasn't great last night he was way better than all the other forwards apart from Jimmy.
Rutter and James need dropping for Gnonto and either Anthony or Piroe. Gray could do with a rest too with Roberts coming in.
The team needs shaking up right now.
Joseph for Bamford maybe and if not Joseph needs to be brought on earlier so he can efffect the game.
We can still do it but Farke has to make the correct calls.
MOT.

10 Apr 2024 14:09:38
Way better? How exactly?

10 Apr 2024 14:28:29
Problem is that if Farke brings in Joseph and others and it doesn't work, the ITYS squad will be on his back for not sticking with the proven 11. can't do right for doing wrong. Its easy on a forum to say 'I would do this' or 'I would do that' but the fact of the matter is we don't have the pressure, we aren't held accountable if it doesn't work and we will never know for certain whether those keyboard managers are right or wrong unless Farke's team selection matches their own so they can sit smugly behind their keyboard and make all sorts of claims about how their team selection would have been better.

I say if you think you can do better then prove it.

10 Apr 2024 14:43:46
Spot on Alf.

10 Apr 2024 14:46:22
First sentence is illogical Cuppa.

10 Apr 2024 14:51:37
Not many had a good game last night, the back line maybe because we didn’t concede and Messlier made some great saves.

Jimmy got smothered, Rutter got molested, Bamford got no service (but don’t think he played well either when he was involved) Kamara looked lost and DJ was beyond awful last night, should have been hooked early in the first half. Think the penalty miss for Wales and a new baby has impacted him a bit more than I thought, but that’s probably Farke’s fault.

Not a great couple of games, but still only one league loss in 2024, but hey, let’s fire Farke?

10 Apr 2024 14:56:26
It's already not working tho Alf, so the change needs to be made. If it then doesn't work, then so be it. Can't keep trotting the same out of form player out and expecting different results from them. Especially in regards to Bamford, who's historically and demonstrably proven to take a long time to find form once out of it.

And as Baz says, Cork, way better, how exactly? An inaccurate representation of how he actually played, which was once again subpar.

Our expectations for players performances needs to be higher considering where we are in the league, otherwise we'll keep on seeing Bamford start and sleepwalk ourselves into the playoffs by ignoring a simple and needed change of personnel.

I believe we can still make autos with some slight player rotation.

10 Apr 2024 15:00:31
Alf I’m basically saying a few changes might help. We’ve played a lot of games and maybe some players are resting on their laurels. Even the opposition know what our first eleven is going to be. And it’s not like the players I mentioned possibly coming in are a down grade.
It’s just my opinion as surely that’s what this site is all about?
Keyboard warrior my arse!

10 Apr 2024 15:04:41
Well said Alf 👏👏👏.

10 Apr 2024 15:06:16
Baz. Rutter loses the ball consistently and doesn’t pass quick enough which is why he gets fouled so often, just like Grealish. James running down dead ends and his crossing rubbish recently. Rutters goal tally is abysmal and Piroe much more efficient in front of goal.
If Farke keeps the same team I sincerely hope these lads prove me wrong and get back to their mid season form.

10 Apr 2024 15:07:47
100% Alf. I still think he'll start with the same setup.

The pressure on Farke is huge; he knows what it means and he knows the consequences, so he is going to do what he thinks is right.

Someone [here] said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing blah blah. They forget that this is the same line up that he was doing the same thing with, that took 37 from 39 points before the break and before the subsequent injuries.

As for the first sentence Baz, Alf is basically saying let's say Farke changes the team to match the keyboard managers wishes and then it fails, he faces the consequences; he misses promotion; he faces the sack; he faces the prospect of losing all his players at the end of the season - the keyboard managers, well, they just scurry off back to their bedroom to dream up another complaint.

10 Apr 2024 15:09:29
That’s Hilarious corker too.
Bambi has been crap all year.
Gray has been crap last 4 games.
Kamara last 2 games.
James last 2 games.
Rutter last 2 games.
Amps last 2 games.
Mez A mixture of clueless and scared.
The escapes. Rodon. Jimmy. Gruev cause injured and firpo.
Subs ever given the chance. Matteo Joseph piroe in his correct position and gnonto a pass.
And yer Farke persists.
Shake your head corke.

10 Apr 2024 15:41:47
Few ways to counterpoint your post Ani

Bamfords constant inclusion currently : what's that saying to subs?

Then by extension : fact then Farke believes our subs ain't good enough, why didn't he rectify it in January?

Bamfords was never going to just miraculously change form last few games, yet Farke persisted, now with just 4 games left it's looking ropey,

Farke has continued with a ridiculous sub policy most of season, it hasn't worked out, he also seems devoid of ideas tactically to change dour games

Farke is in the. pressure zone as he is the man getting a few million a year to take this type of pressure, . we as fans pay our cash into clubs coffers so we have the right to say these things

EVERY club has this, it's why football has such a broad appeal, we all talk about it, we all critique it,

Ultimately nothing spoken here will change any managers mind, but that doesn't stop fans from seeing issues on field.

10 Apr 2024 15:43:05
Thats NOT what it says at all Ani.

10 Apr 2024 16:05:22
Chris Excellent realistic 👌 points . your logical rational always refreshing on here.

10 Apr 2024 16:37:15
Chris, perhaps they couldn't fix it January; perhaps a point deduction was a possibility and too much of risk. The club has spent a lot of money in the last 5 years

As for "it hasn't worked out, " that's a ridiculous statement; it absolutely has worked out the majority of the time - we are miles above where anyone was predicting at the start; we in a auto promotion battle; most didn't think we would be in the play-offs. Baz and you were contemplating another relegation battle at the end of August.

As for dour games; we have scored 3 or more 17 times this season; I enjoy watching the this seasons a lot, well 90% of them. We haven't done that in a season since the 70's / until last night we had scored in 20 successive matches; again we hadn't done that for 50+ years.

About 5% of fans pay cash into the club [attending matches or buying stuff]; the vast majority of "fans" put absolutely zero cash into the club, yet feel they have the right to spout vitriol freely at any target the like within the club.

10 Apr 2024 17:05:54
Ani, assuming you're response is parasphrasing what I wrote about expecting different results.

I made sure to emphasise that the "insanity" (which I never said) part is starting the same player over and over again while he's in poor form, ie; Bamford. I made sure my wording was pretty precise in what I was attributing that to. You're response was about the line up gaining x amount of points, rather than making your point about the one player I mentioned. You seem to be conflating the two.

Furthermore, if he doesn't make those changes and we don't get promoted then what happens? going to be the exact same outcome either way.

Continually starting a striker who's now been in poor form for weeks and hasn't scored since the start of March OR managed any assists in that same span is more than worrying. Is it not? Both Joseph and Piroe have contributed equitably or more in that same time period while making limited cameos.

10 Apr 2024 17:09:34
Ani both You and I know there has been dour games at ER this season
The wednesday game in particular being 1 of the worst I witnessed in many years .

How many times has Farke thrown on a raft of subs with 15 mins left to no avail?

He's done it a good few, it seems just hit &hope for best

The club in the position it was in, in January had a good chance to add goals, , it's equally just as easy for you to say oh FFP put pay to that

As regards Vitriol! , Talks cheap, it's all just a thing of nothing on fans forums, do you honestly believe Bamfords reading this forum? it's always been there on terraces, on fans forum, yet its not stopping the 1000's of wannabees trying to become. multi millionaires

Maybe their skin is a lot thicker than you give them credit for

Yet it doesn't hamper the numbers trying to make the big time.

10 Apr 2024 17:09:40
Ani try and keep it real

As you well know 6th was my prediction end of August not R battle as you disingenuously state

As for fans putting money in club

Club needs to extend ground capacity so more fans have a chance to attend.

I have attended a lot of Leeds matches home and away in 1970s and 80s especially . up to 1995.

And pretty sure Leeds United are 6th highest shirt sellers in UK

Ibought 8 shirts ( 3Pablo 1 Raph :in 2021 3 Raph 1 KP in 2022 ) in EPL seasons for starters . estimate around 40 or more shirts over the decades

Hey ho Ani lad.

10 Apr 2024 20:16:24
I do keep it real Baz. The issue is Baz, is when of your predictions are (nearly) right” you absolutely never forget and never tire of reminding everyone, however you never can remember the wildly wrong ones (granted, there’s so many it must be hard to pick out specific ones) .

100% you suggested that we were likely relegation candidates at the start of the season. You have continually claimed Farke and team were seriously underachieving despite being way ahead of your later predictions for virtually the entire season. Even today, you claim Farke is unproven at this level…really? You say keep I real?

10 Apr 2024 21:07:10
We've been through this same rinse and repeat post Ani. it was wrong then and still is.

10 Apr 2024 11:57:09
OP - you're having a laugh! I normally appreciate your rosy outlook, it has a lot of merit and brings up some good points but the absolute drivel you have posted about last night is ridiculous.

We cannot create or score because it is too congested around the box. Let's all just settle for that, I ll give DF a call and tell him to continue with not trying to change things up - it's congested, don't worry if we can't even get a shot off - what the effare you talking about.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Apr 2024 12:31:55
Yes I think last night if it wasn't already the final straw as far as Bamford starting up front is concerned it will be now for the final 4 games and none of this oh he isn't getting the service nonsense and he isn't the only player that is not performing at an acceptable level.

The simple truth is we need a more threatening presence up front a quicker stronger target man for others to pick out and take their chances which against Sunderland and Coventry especially has been desperately needed.

We can still do this but Farke has to drop Bamford from the starting 11 against Blackburn and maybe a couple of others too and if he does I'm confident we will win on Saturday and get the points we need from the other 3 games to scramble over the line and earn an automatic promotion spot but my oh my we ain't half making heavy weather of this.

10 Apr 2024 12:52:02
1970 . Leeds could lose 8 nil and OP would still blame ref not anything else

Macc ; Farke won't drop Bamford. too stubborn to admit he is wrong . so 'self before side? perhaps according to some on that basis

Our next opponents Blackburn thrashed our previous opponents Sunderland 5 1 last week.

I think Leeds will eek out a 2 1 win but 8/ 1 Blackburn win is generous odds from bookies.

10 Apr 2024 15:10:19
Unlike you Baz, Farke can't change his mind every 5 minutes.

10 Apr 2024 15:11:34
But isn’t that OP’s opinion Baz? Opinions are literally opinions, a knowledgeable man like you Baz should know the definition of opinion? If that is OP’s opinion then do be it, don’t berate and belittle it! That’s the problem on here! You mentioned in an earlier post to Chris Chris about how although he has the same views as you nobody gets on at him, maybe that’s because Chris Chris doesn’t go over the top like you do with OP. Have a day off Baz it’s only an opinion that’s all 👍.

10 Apr 2024 15:34:56
🪵y You've been away from the forum. Think you'll find it's his remunerated opinion.

10 Apr 2024 15:46:39
Indeed George.

10 Apr 2024 18:30:48
I might have been away from the forum George but I read it everyday and to say it’s payback or what OP is owed is not right. For gods sake every other post I read he gets slated for posting something!

10 Apr 2024 18:45:54
🪵y As it happens, OP has enjoyed a very good season posting. Many of his posts very accurate and imo is one of the contenders for POTS. However, it's undeniable his slant comes from a well-known sporting establishment in the Beeston area.

10 Apr 2024 19:05:01
1970, just because Farke doesn’t make his selections as you want it to be, as everyone is so much wiser after a game has been played, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what he is doing. You and Baz convieniently bash Farke and our players because you don’t know any better. It’s just the easy way to react when we don’t win every game we play.
Make a constructive contribution yourself as to why we didn’t win that game other than should have started with Cresswell and Joseph and Farke has run out of ideas.
That’s just a boring narrative that gets spewed out relentlessly when we don’t win.

10 Apr 2024 11:44:27
Possibly, 9 April, is the day many of us secretly realised that we are probably facing another year of Championship slog.
The football last night was a repeat of the last few games. With defence holding its own but mid and attack woefully letting us down. From an imperious bossing midfield we have somehow managed to look very ordinary whilst upfront we have the usually reliable wingers unable to shake off the markers, being doubled (sometimes tripled) up on. As for striker, that seems to be the biggest disappointment with a player who is so obviously out of form and a replacement who though full of potential has never been tested over 90 mins.
Whilst we quite obviously have a crises on our hands it is way too easy to blame the manager. Yes, we can all see his reluctance to change personnel but who got us here in the first place. Who had his team ripped apart before he had even started. Who moulded a team to get us 90ish points when many, at the start of the season, would have been happy with mid table.
Certainly the man is not perfect but he has us second and not dead yet. I have my own wish list and theory of what it will take but for all our well meaning punditry, there is only one man who can make it happen so let's let him get on with it "in Farke we trust".
If the promised land does not materialise and we are doomed to "one more season" then let's just be gratefull for the 23/ 24 ride. Not every horse can win the National. Maybe it's a furlong too far.

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Apr 2024 12:09:45
Well said Leodis.

We are, as you point out, not dead yet - need a big favour from Watford tonight (and everyone else who is due to play Ipswich) plus I would imagine that there are a lot of Leicester fans feeling the same way we are this morning.

These final hurdles are seemingly getting larger!

One crumb of comfort, my brother has decided to stop picking Leeds as part of his accumulator so we might start winning again:)

10 Apr 2024 14:41:02
Great post Leodis!

10 Apr 2024 19:14:57
With you on that Leodis. Although punters would have us as winners before that game last night, who would of had Leicester being beaten by lowly Millwall.?
Believe me, a lot can happen in these four remaining games. Never give up and in Farke we trust ✊🏻.

10 Apr 2024 10:19:26
We are all looking to our forward line and expecting the same players to score or create. BUt in the last 2 games we have had over 20 corners plus numerous free kicks into the box. Can you remember a head on target? Or even a head? I think the last goal from a corner was struijk.
No goals from midfield. We need contributions from elsewhere.
In my opinion our play last night was marginally better than the last 2 games.
I was one who spoke up for Bamford but will admit his confidence is shot. He did have chances to pull the trigger in games and been off it.
I don't know if anyone else noticed the lack of ball to archie and dj. Time after time archie was in space and rodon turned back inside. The passes they did get were poor and sometimes overhit.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Apr 2024 10:38:01
All good points Chris.

Recruitment not been good enough in midfield especially.

10 Apr 2024 11:05:41
What I noticed Ben, was that every time the ball [eventually] went to Archie [after taking an age to beat the Sunderland press], he would immediately pass straight back to Rodon or via Gruev, who then sent it back to Mes. and repeat. Our right side was utterly inert last night.

The night was perplexing all up; strange initial line-up, given relative form of a few, really late subs, really ponderous play, even though we know, and the players certainly do, that pace up front is our real strength.

I think the expectation is beginning to tell and they're not coping.

4 Wins is basically a must now. Southampton getting back into contention, especially now; they they play us and Leicester who are struggling to get results.

10 Apr 2024 11:24:56
I KEEP SAYING IT! Playing 6 defenders at this point
(goals needed) and playing our best striker only 8 mins. a game won't get us promoted. Start Willy in one of the midfield positions to give us more creativity and Joseph over DF's favorite donkey Bamford.

GOALS WIN GAMES!

10 Apr 2024 13:34:27
I think ani that archie preferred playing with gnonto in front of him they had a good link up and ball retention. I can only think that gnonto is not 100 % because he was probably the most in form before the internationals.
In that position archie needs good firm early passes so he can get turned and over the half way line. A lot of the ball he got last night was slow and allowed Jack Clarke to start closing him down hence the pass straight back.

10 Apr 2024 14:30:41
Not conceding also means you don't lose games though Bermuda. Scoring didn't help us much at the weekend against Coventry.

10 Apr 2024 14:50:47
Keeping clean sheet is ideal ;

take 1 nil wins any day of the week

. and at home no excuse for not scoring ( at least ) 1 goal.

10 Apr 2024 16:52:03
Ben. good point re Gnonto and Gray. You're right on that.

To be honest, the only change to the starting line up I was expecting last night was Gnonto to start, so when he didn't and also came on last, he mustn't be fit to start.

10 Apr 2024 08:31:58
Last night's game was another very iffy performance. Lack of shots and creativity and too many back passing. Substitutions made too late. Saturday is now crucial for a convincing win to restore some much needed confidence. If we get it, winning the last three is not beyond us. A couple of selection changes as well to freshen things up. It's not over yet. Keep the faith.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Apr 2024 10:11:51
Leeds win just one of remaining 4 matches in this form.

For those harking back to the days of Revie and demanding instant success: Remember Don Revie took over as player manager in 1961,and it was 64 when we got promoted. 3 years.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Apr 2024 10:18:06
Yes Cuppa bit first season Revie had to completely revolutionise a failing lower 2nd division club from top to bottom

2nd season they were close ( ish
) to promotion

3rd season Champions

Whereas your idol Danny Boy has the 2nd best squad in league with a front 5 worth over £100 million and being out performed by League 1 Ipswich.

10 Apr 2024 11:07:16
Baz. Ipswich play in the Championship [top of], so they are not league one any more than we are Premier League!

10 Apr 2024 11:25:17
Yes Ani but last season they were playing 2 leagues below Leeds, Southampton and Leicester.

10 Apr 2024 14:33:59
It makes no difference where they were last season. they had the benefit of momentum this season wheras we were starting from scratch. worse than scratch we didn't even have a team for the first month of the season. In the game of football value can mean very little - a club playing well as a team with momentum, cohesion and confidence often beats a team of disjointed high value individuals as Chelsea are proving this year. If you don't realise this then you know even less about the game than I already think Baz.

10 Apr 2024 14:57:28
Misguided Cuppa .

Momentum won't last more than a few matches if you aren't good enough

As for your Leeds starting from scratch hyperbole twaddle

. all of Summerville, Gnonto, Rutter, DJ and Bamford. all available at start of season and throughout

£120 million plus worth of players

Even Sinistera was playing in first month and was instrumental in Leeds winning in August.

10 Apr 2024 18:03:04
Sometimes your knowledge of football Baz amazes me. That’s not in a good way either.

10 Apr 2024 18:45:36
Seeing as we rarely agree on anything OP your biased misguided hardly surprising.
