Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

I think its clear now why Leeds got rid of SG, Huddersfields form has collasped in the last 3 months and they have leaked goals, pritty much every game.

Warnock is the way forward and at least he has stated all his transfers will be done prior to August, not the day before the first game.

I personally think a budget of £5M and sell snodgrass and keep that money in the transfer above, say another £4M = £9M we have got to have a chance next season.

Time to clean house....

Believable20 Unbelievable38

I agree with all the above apart from im nt sure how much if we sell him we would get for snoddy rumours that norwich are going to offer 1.5 mill is way off our valuation fed up with lambert trying to get cheap deals from us !!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right in what you've said but I wouldn't sell snods. I'd keep snods ,mccormack, becchio, clayton and maybe lee's + white. Give nunez a proper go for the rest of the season and somma will be like a new signing next season. The rest of the squad is for sale. We need a new keeper, back line, holding midfielder and i'd get 1 more striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id take 1.5 mill for snod only if we got surman and hoolahan if return aswell they not played that much this season {Ed003's Note - Hoolahan has been a regular }

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't get to find out how much we get for him because it'll be undisclosed as usual.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry you are right about hoolahan hes played alot more than i thought. id still be happy with surman and maybe lappin or chris martin both good solid championship players if snod was to be sold

Agree0 Disagree0

So warnock is better even though he has done worse - he can't lose really can he?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the post, but would like to see snods stay. its way too early to start saying he is worse than grayson. the season is coming to a close players have lost willing and bottled the playoff push and some just are not good enough but that would of happened whoever was manager. next season warnock will bring in a few faces, restore confidence, especially at home, hopefully get rid of some dead wood and start a fresh with his own squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Warbock is the man to take us forward. hes said from the out set these arent the players he wants at the club as they arent good enough... (just by saying that makes him a better manager than grayson) all the squad know there chances of staying next season are slim.
out of the entire squad id keep for first team...
lonergan, clayton, snoddy, becchio, rossco and white
back up players id keep
lees, and lloyd sam if he wants to come back

add to this players like
darren ambrose
shaun derry
ched evans
bradly orr
jamie mackie
harry macguire
stephen quinn
or players better than the above mentioned and we defo have a chance next year. maybe even a couple on youngsters on loan if needs from the better prem clubs...
we defo have the platform to do well next season cos its finally been realised and said that this squad of players is sh!t

MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sorry as this will cause upset no doubt, however Becchio has to go, he has no pace, his first touch is appalling and big centre backs mark him out of the game. He has been a good servant but he is not good enough for us if we realistically want promotion. If we get an offer of £1.5 or more for Snoddy I would also take that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think hudds were going off the boil before s.g.
thing is s.g.went to hudds under pressure of fighting for automatic.pressures off now so well see what he can do with theses 4 games to prepare for play offs.
sadly i agree becchio is marked out

Agree0 Disagree0

Take 1.5m for snoddy, you mad? hes our best player but i do agree about getting rid of becchio as all he can do is hold ball up and header.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are going to play the longball approach then becchio is essential...he is class he wins most of the balls launched at him....against a weaker defence he is a real pain, against a stronger defence snoddy and mccormack need to use their skill and tricks to unlock the defence and becchio will bundle dangerous balls in the back of the net

Agree0 Disagree0

An shameful home defeat, goals have dried up, a hat trick of two nil defeats with three players sent off,(should have been four), sliding down the league, but at least we are moving forward, (apparently), or is that MOT?

Agree0 Disagree0

We need our better players to BUILD a team and a squad. Selling Snoddy and Becchio is a backward move, Leeds need to build NOT the constant changes. Keep Lees, White, Ross,Snoddy,Becchio, Lonnergan - not much left if we get rid of them. Warnock will be gone and Bates will be minted. Get the Chelsea out of Leeds. Love leeds hate Bates

I full expect to see Bates finally open his wallet this summer, and the reason is simple.

While many of you will take this as a conspiracy theory, Bate doesn't want Leeds United to get promoted to the premiership in time for the 2012-13.

The significance of this season is that it marks 5 years since Leeds United came out of administration.

It was well publicized at the time that due to a clause in the contract to creditors if we were to get promotion to the premiership within 5 years Bates would owe them substantially more money, reportedly escalation from 1p to the pound upto 30p to the pound over ten years.

One thing Bated knows how to do is not spend money, he wouldn't want to shell out what could be 30 times more money by gaining promotion in that 5 year window.

He will know the significance of the next season, and now I feel he will be more willing to invest at least a bit more in the next transfer market.

Believable32 Unbelievable11

I agree with all the above and have been saying this all season but many on here dismiss what i have said so? lets see now where we go like him or loath him he is a clever operater when it comes to playing the long game in the money the futures bright the future is bates ?? mot

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not going to develope the ground for the championship.Warnock would not come unless Bates promissed him we were going for promotion

Agree0 Disagree0

What a super theory!

Even if it's totally based on a false premis.

Leeds United have to pay the creditors back £4.75m on the event of promotion to the Premiership right up to the 2016/2017 season, so all this theory that he's waiting for next season to make a real push for promotion is sadly, complete rubbish!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above, as the person who posted this I'm just working on the information I've seen a collected from old new report. They all seemed to mention 5 years being the deadline that would set off a ten year pay back period.

If it is 2016/17, I stand corrected, as I say I'm just going by what was said on the Sky and BBC websites when Bates was able to buy the club back instead of Krasner.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do stand corrected... On further reading into the matter, at a later date Bates agreed to pay 7p in the pound (the the 30p deadline moving from 5 years to 10 years).

Just clicked disagree to my own rumour. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct me if im wrong, but if we get promoted to the prem, and we have to pay off an additional 5million or so, wouldnt we get quite a bit of money for getting promotion in the first place?

Agree0 Disagree0

If leeds get promoted we automatically generate around £20 million anyway just for getting promotion. this would practically cover any difference in the pounds to pennies your all talking about? we cant keep using excuses. Grayson got sacked because he wasnt going to take us up this season. Bates said as much. so lets not kid ourselves.... bates wants leeds up at the earliest possible opportunity... and next season under warnock will hopefully be the opportunity

Agree0 Disagree0

From 7p to 30p in the pound for $70,000,000 is a lot more than £5,000,000. It's about £16,000,000

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps... just perhaps, Bates was seeing what Grayson could do with the resources he had, before changing tactics. To finish so close last season on the budget he had, Bates had to think it was worth a gamble to try again with the same manager this season.

I do think that we'll invest more in the team this season because Bates has signalled his intent by getting the best man possible in at the helm. A man who wouldn't have signed if he wasn't going to be backed.

I do, however, also think that Grayson's questionable dealings in the transfer market can't exactly have encouraged Bates to spend. He was backing a league one manager with league one funding.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reference to £16m is not relevant. The amount due to be paid is a fixed amount due on the event of promotion only prior to and including the 2016/2017 season.

It's a fixed £4.75m for 10 years from administration. It has never been any different since the final admin terms were agreed.

Agree0 Disagree0

So there is no such offer of paying creditors an extra 23p in pound for getting promotion within 10 years.?

Warnock's plan for next season is so obvious. cut the squad to the bare minimum, sign 4 or 5 low-end premier quality players, and supplement the starting 11 with our youngsters, as we seem to have a good crop at present.

its took a while for a few fans to show there utter disappointed with the team.right back in the summer i feared the worst.we just didnt do anything exciting in the transfer market.we were always going to struggle but had a very outside chance of over performing and getting a play off place.i mean last season we got barry bannan and jake livermore, both were not great but have shown plenty of class in prem games.could it be the rubbish around them?.and this season we have failed to even attract these type of players in the hope we could do better.i mean taking players that cannot get into a celtic squad.or indeed a hothead who no team wanted at all preseason, brown.lloyd sam whos now found his level at notts county.is it a suprise to see the most hard working loan player ever, keogh,to now be the main man at millwall.
our problem is def bates and his purse strings and the regular bad loan signings by grayson.and any good ones like keogh were lost in his tatics.
im sure warnock will sort it,it needs to be 8 0r 9 out and the same in,it needs bates to decide to GO FOR IT and release funds.warnock has the tatical knowhow.what has happened was always likely to happen.please lets not make the same mistake next season..shrew leeds

Believable15 Unbelievable2

I agree with the 8 or 9 in but I think we should clear 15+ out!!

Right.......for those who think it's funny to keep bringing up the name of Alan Finished Smith as some sort of hilarious wind-up - please stop it, it's not been funny for a couple of years now.

For those who genuinely seem to think that Alan Finished Smith could do a reasonable job for Leeds United next season - please get a life! You're welcome to your opinions but please keep them to yourselves.

For the editors - please don't allow the stuff about Alan Finished Smith coming back to Leeds to even appear on here.

It's just far far beyond a joke now.

Thank you. {Ed007's Note - Personally I delete any posts that mention his name, I really don't see why so many people think he should be considered as a way forward for Leeds, and I'm not even a Leeds supporter.}

Believable13 Unbelievable4

Ok i arent bothered one way or another if leeds sign smudge or not. but on what basis is he 'finished'? ok hes 2 years older now but when newcastle got promoted to the prem.... who was there captian most of the season. who was the man that held it all together? wasnt collocini, certainly wasnt gutierez... it was ALAN SMITH. so you tell me why he cant still do a job in this division with the passion and work rate he brings?? hes 5 times the player michael brown is and hes been a regular for leeds since warnock took over!

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree with this, i believe he is good enough for leeds he is definatly better than brown. he is a leeds legend and could give elland road the lift that is needed

Agree0 Disagree0

^the same legend that went to man united? Haha, don't make me laugh pal. If He was that good why is he at mk dons? Loooool, he's an overrated, fat, judas, (he went there to save Leeds excuse not valid) join us in 2012 pal, not gonna happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he did go to save the club and even waved away his relese clause, plus he is better than brown so PAL he wouldent be a bad signing

Refreshing to hear our manager tell it as it is. We are severely lacking everywhere and he will fix this next season. We should put all the "they're Graysons players" crap aside. Let warnock build his team and then judge him. Also trust in bates for once, I'm pretty sure warnock wouldn't have come if he thought bates was going to hold out on funds for players. We just need to be smart, quality not quantity and make leeds the superpower we once were

i personally think NW can't be blamed for this poor run. fair enough he could be doing more to bring confidence to the team but at the end of the day this is still mostly SGs team.

I do agree with posts below too about shifting a lot of players as this is getting pathetic now.

Losing more games at home in one season than in the last three previous is totally unacceptable. Get some players in who want to play for the shirt and not just f*** about for a wage.

Believable15 Unbelievable0

Yes graysons team who were 3 points off play offs when he got sack.
NW has really improved things.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above. If Grayson had've kept that liability of a Rachubka outta goal he wouldn't have got sacked cos we'd have had another 8 points and I believe we would've been in 3rd at that stage. It was sheer madness what he done in those game's with a keeper clearly bereft of confidence. Reckless.

If Bates had paid to keep Howson, Johnson and Gradel rather than letting them go for nothing or minimal fees, we would have walked a very indifferent Championship this season- surely that makes more sense than having to pay a transfer fee and wages??? I like the way NW is talking because we are lucky we have sufficient points in the bag to stay up, but this is the worst Leeds side in a long time- just hope Bates/Warnock deliver....my fear is we will end up with an old team cause most of the links have been to players around 33-34 MOT

Believable14 Unbelievable4

F*** that - if Simple Simon had of kept Rachubka out of goal we would've had another 8 points and in spite of our atrocious run we'd still be in sixth.

Doesn't look like Aidy White will be signing a new contract.

On the post match phone in on Yorkshire Radio, Peter Lorimer was saying to a caller that the chance of playing premiership football was the reason that players had left, not the contracts offered. "That's why we have lost Johnson, Howson AND WHITE".

At that point they broke to speak to Neil Warnock and it was not mentioned again but it looks like he has unwittingly let the cat out of the bag.

Believable6 Unbelievable15

Lorimer does struggle to find the words he wishes to use at times. I would not read too much into this.

That is not to say White will stay, it remains very much in the balance, but I do not think the position has changed as a result of Lorimer's comment.

Agree0 Disagree0

We've a lot of players who think there better then to play for leeds, let them go,not that many ex leeds players in prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let him go, if we get a few quid for him all the better. He is fast but runs down alleys and no end product most of the time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with coment above, never wil be a great player for Leeds and if its true he has turned down £12K/Week, then there will be plenty of Prem footballers and Championship players available this summer who will play for Leeds for that kind of money.

NW will completely strip this team apart.......for the record, Robinson, O'Odea and McCormack will be the only 3 players starting the first league game next season, who finished the last against Leicester.

Agree0 Disagree0

White cant do nothing anyway...running with the ball with your head down is not a way to play football...he cant cross the ball...he cant shoot, which isnt the best when your playing left midfield. so let him go get some cash for hime and buy someone who can do the job

Agree0 Disagree0

Reported 2 months ago in Manchester that Aidy White has a pre contract with City
