So, on the OS is a statement to "quell speculation". Lol basically they can't tell us anything we don't already know about the "investment". But what they can tell us is... NOBODY from within GFH have had discussion or even been in contact with the LUST as confidentiality clauses are in place. That certainly "quells speculation" then, I would rather interpret that as... The LUST know sweet f a about anything to do with anything. At this very delicate stage of any MASSIVE takeover. Why would an apparent "supporters trust" make things up for the sake of it. Just wish they (the LUST) would mind their own business and stop feeding the actual supporters b***s**t.

If you read the statement correctly you will see that its a rather loaded one that says very little. GFH have not had direct contact but a company they use has. This is just a way of appeasing Bates and don't be fooled by it! Devide and conquer thats his moto!!!

Lust claim all sorts of rubbish to make themselves look important. Claim to represent the genuine leeds fan? Well I'am a genuine leeds fan, and I have a request to make of LUST "SHUT THE F*** UP."
It seems to me media speculation and social media has made the whole take over far more excruciating than it should be, us as fans are partial to blame. The pessimistic bates haters, spreading doom and gloom over the dwindling optimist few that are tightly fastened in on the LUFC rollercoaster living "the ups and downs"! But we are edging ever closer and just need to hold in their for a little while longer and ignore all the media bull****! One last thing, I have never made a bad post about LUST, as I do respect the fact that they are trying to do something they obviously feel strongly about. I've never been in any really support of them as I feel there aim is shared by any football fan in the world! For the team to be successful and the club to prosper, essentially. I my opinion Bates always intended to sell at this point. I'm sure Lust would make you believe that it was their involvement that led bates to pursue a deal but from the recent statement made by GFH It makes it apparent that it's far from the case! If the members of Lust really wanted to show third support they would be better off putting that money towards attending games and cheering the team on. Apart from feeding me utter balls for the past few months I would be interested to know what 8000+ Leeds supported trust members have achieved?

It only says both party's haven't been directly in touch with lust . lust never said they had spoke to any of these party's but had spoke to someone close to the buyers
I think LUST's latest claims in their statement has backfired on them a little and as a result GFH have made them look small.
GFH are wanting to speak to 'all' fans and I think they are just making sure that LUST know this.
LUST, however, are crying innocence in all of this and are trying to keep face.
LUST have done little else but spout BS for months - why would they change now!

Lust are not crying innocence at all,if you kept up to date Cooper and Lust have spoken to David Haigh and have told him that Lust have proof with phone call records and texts that they spoke to someone at GFH.
Lust never once said they had spoken to anyone at board level just they had spoken to a rep of GFH.

lust want whats best for them and for the lufc fans-they also have an agenda to be the only contact with the new owners when all this is sorted.

lufc fans want information about their beloved club. lust & gfh cannot stop the media, fans & anyone else speculating about the t.o. or investment because being lufc is a massive undertaking, for everyone. you will never stop media hype, fans speculation because lufc fans are the most passionate in the world. lust want to be part of this cos they want to be part of lufc officially(even getting paid for it) if they are not careful, gfh or the new owners will cast them aside and create their own fans contact trust.
lets all just take a step back, wait for the official announcement, that gfh or others have bought our beloved club and just enjoy it, if & when it happens.

As both sides talk about confidentiality agreement that is in place both sides have actually broke that agrreement first ghf broke the agreement with there statement to the bharain stock exchangh secondly bates program notes stating its all down to ghf lawyers its taken so long and also crucially david haigh was asked many times to confirm that neither ghfs pr firm they employ or lawyers havent talked to lust he refused to comment also he was personally messaged by gary cooper and was askked just who did we talk to at ghf then david we have calls logged and all texts still david haigh has yet to reply to any of these messages anyon who accuse lust of talking bull should just take a minute out and think of this who actually told us about the takeover (lust) 5 months ago there was a consortium involved a fact aknowledged by bates himself was only 6 weeks ago when ghf went alone so all this we have been involved for 5 months is ghf bull 5 months ago they was brokers for the deal milky
I think it's quite clear, whatever your opinion of LUST, that this statement was released this week, under Bates' request I would imagine, because the LUST AGM is on Thursday & this will cause maximum damage, possible topple the LUST chair, divide the fans who are members as well as those who are not.

If so congratulations by now you would have worked out that no details of the deal would be shared with a third party, the only information that matters will be what comes direct from the two parties involved, in this case Leeds United and GFH Capital, how people continue to believe such utter garbage from third party 'sources' I will not know. I think that the statement from GFH was very clear. Irrespective of who LUST are speaking to, it is not official GFH contact, a lot of what has been said is inaccurate and GFH are not supportive of LUST's involvement. LUST would do well to distance themselves from this process as neither party in the takeover (Bates or GFH) appreciate their input, and most fans dont either.

Wish Leeds fans would spend a minute thinking about motives before slagging off LUST.
All they have tried to do is keep the fans in the loop about what's happening. As far as Bates is concerned, fans should ask no questions, cough up and turn up like members of some fundamentalist Church. Had LUST not applied the pressure they had, then we'd know nothing at all.
LUST are only interested in what's best for Leeds United. I know Bates has got many brainwashed into thinking that our position in Division 2 is acceptable, but the truth of the matter is Don Revie would be turning in his grave to see the state of the club at the moment, a shadow of what it once was with dwindling attendances, as honest and hard working fans turn up week after week, paying top whack for no investment in the team.
Ken Bates, on the other hand, has a track record of rip offs, dodgy deals, smoke and mirrors secrecy, corruption. He even lied to our fans for 5 years, claiming no knowledge of who owned the club! The man is blatantly a liar, has only his own interests at heart, and will tell you anything, regardless of how true it is in order for him to get his way and his hand in your pocket.

To be honest, I couldn't care less whether LUST have spoken to anyone or not.
The fact is that they are constantly sticking their oars in where they aren't concerned, whipping up storms, and causing unrest.
Happy or not with Bates, this kind of intervention by a minority claiming to represent the majority is not on. Why on Earth anyone gives them the time of day is beyond me.

Can LUST please stop interfering in this take-over. They do not represent the real fans and clearly do not understand the legal process. Some deals take many months to complete and during the process the parties are likely to walk away from the table on a few occasions before they finally return to conclude the deal. Just let those who know what they are doing get on with it and stop spouting off to anyone who will listen to them, like Radio Leeds etc. Until its done get behind the team, stop this anti Bates garbage as he will go when he is ready and not before.

Nobody has broken a confidentiality agreement, the terms are agreed by both parties and the agreement they made facilitated the statements made by both GHF and Mr Bates.

Does the 'L' in LUST stand for Lemmings? Whilst their views are very interesting and sometimes valid, their continuous ranting, protests and chanting has become very tiresome, distracting and damaging to the wider fanbase. If the leadership of LUST could now wake up and smell the coffee, it is time to get back to supporting a football club and take the common direction offered by the existing and prospective owners by supporting the club and not trying to drag us all off the cliff with them!
The number of people who dont understand who LUST are and what they do astounds me.
LUST represent the views and the wishes of their membership and act on their behalf i.e 8000 leeds fans. If you don't like what they do then i suggest you join and you can have as much say as anyone else about what those actions are, if not then it is you and your lone voice who can shut the fluff up.
Until this take over saga began i knew and wanted to know very little about LUST as i decided to focus my efforts in supporting the team not dividing the fans , over the course of the past 4 months I have followed thier updates just in hope to get a snippet of news about this takeover. I have now come to the conclusion -
1. LUST have an axe to grind with bates, that seems to be thier main focus and no longer leeds united
2. They know nothing more than what is publised in the media
3. They are de railling this takeover, they have nearly screwed this takeover up multiple time
4. Thier chairman seems to be on his own little power trip and seems to have forgotten what been a leeds fan is all about. hes not on the leeds board so just ghet on with your own life
5. thier vision statement is crap its what every fan wants so why state the obvious
6. Even the new owners have rubbished them which confirms what bates has beeen saying all along
Ken Bates will leave LUST totally discredited, by the time he's finished at Elland Road ( which fingers crossed won't be long ) he will do so with the majority of Whites not believing a single word from LUST. Its what he does, the guy loves confrontation. LUST took him on and will ultimatley lose.

As an active LUST member I have no inflated belief of my own importance. But I do believe that if you are a rational and moderately intelligent being, and have done plenty of research about Bates's past dealings and track record, you would indeed side with them
Let me dispel myths:
1) LUST are anti-Bates - not true, LUST are pro-investment and value for fans. Bates has had 8 years to provide either and is yet to do this
2) LUST are self appointed - totally untrue, all of the board are democratically elected. Who appointed Bates Chairman? Certainly wasn't by a vote at the AGM.
3) LUST have lied about contact with GFH - LUST have never claimed to have contact with GFH, but their representatives. They have been talking to GFHC's PR firm
4) LUST have interfered with the takeover - utter nonsense. Half the time, Bates would have you believe he doesn't care about LUST and is too tough. The rest of the time he's claiming they've delayed the takeover. Its rubbish. The delays have been Bates himself messing around, and the fact that several parties have been at the table over the summer.
Bottom line - think about motives. What reason do LUSt have to lie? they only care about the good of LUFC. What about Bates? He has every reason to lie. He stands to make a huge amount of money from Leeds.

To the clown who challenges Harrogate Rob on what he said about Confidentiality Agreements.
You really don't know what you are talking about son ! A CA is made between 2 parties and clauses set in place to ensure certain things are not disclosed, simply not that anyone cannot talk to anyone else about the potential investment/sale.
As we do not know what is in the agreement, they may well have had an agreement to release the information they did and as such not broken any agreement.
I suggest you think about what you say (which may be tough)
