SSN saying that Leeds, Birmingham,Blackpool and Leicester all tracking theo Robinson from derby county and some expected to make bids this summer

Believable21 Unbelievable14

Paper talk, why go for a player who has scored 11 goals all season when we have Mcormack who has scored far more and Becchio with Somma due to return. All far better players in my eyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Beccios not as good as he used to be i think theo robinson and mccormack will be a beast of a strickin force

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio has been awful - a shadow of seasons gone by....need to get rid in favour of somebody that can remain on their feet, score goals and make goals

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio isnt as good as he was as the midfield service to him has got alot worse

Agree0 Disagree0

Theo Robinson has scored only 11 goals this season. FS even snoddy's scored more than that. Plus, Davide Somma is a great natural goalscorer, so Robinson would be a waste of money.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you compare becchio and theo robinson? Robinsons a different class, becchios a league one player at most. hes got no speed, no skill, no passing ability and he cant cross or shoot. whereas, theo robinson can do all of those and he would add a bit of speed to the team which we desperately need!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll compare Becchio to Robinson.....Becchio's better. Great in the air, holds the ball up well and scores some cracking goals. If he can stay injury free next season we'll see the best of him again.....if Warnock doesn't get rid of him that is! He's one of the ones I would keep (along with McCormack, Clayton, Snoddy, Lees and Lonergan).

Agree0 Disagree0

Hasn't Becchio scored 10 this season? It'll be quite a lot of money for just 1 more goal? Can we not just build the "new" team in favour of better service for the forwards we have?

Agree0 Disagree0

However good Robinson is in comparison to Becchio/McCormack (not quite as good IMO), we still don't know if Somma will be the same player and that leaves us with Forssell and Payner as back-up. Hardly inspires confidence if either of our first choice 2 get injured, does it?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's amazing how people are quick to criticise Becchio. He was injured at the start of the season, missing all 7 games in August. He played second fiddle, on the bench, to Keogh for most of September, October and November. So with the lack of match fitness it is quite remarkable that once again he has acheived double figures of goals for the season already. Back off him guys - he is Leeds through and through and would sweat blood for the club, MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio is mint double figures every season unlike Robinson.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not sure why people are disagreeing with this as its an official sky sports story

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio is the worst excuse of a player I have ever seen, injury does not give you poor ball control, nor the inability to turn with the ball or to pass more than 10yards.

Agree0 Disagree0

Worst excuse of a player you have ever seen? Oh yeah, definitely, the 65+ goals he's scored for us have all been terrible. He clearly does nothing for our squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think Becchio should leave Leeds then you dont support Leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate a lot of leeds fans think becchios crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does the fact that there's a lot make them right?

On-loan Leeds United defender Darren O'Dea has reiterated his hope that he can secure a permanent contract at Elland Road.

The Republic of Ireland international, who has made 36 appearances this term, joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Celtic in August.

Following a run of three straight defeats, Leeds' play-off hopes are all-but over and manager Neil Warnock is already turning his thoughts to next season.

Warnock is keen to implement an overhaul of his squad in the summer and O'Dea is hopeful he can perform well enough with four games remaining to seal his future at the club.

O'Dea told the club's official website: "The manager's already started planning for next season so everybody has everything to play for.

Has looked either very good or very average over the season, however I believe a solid back four is the key to promotion. I would sign him and Robinson, then add a proven big CB (with Lees in reserve) a decent RB and ball winning midfielder sat in front of them maybe we could have that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Odea is not good enough, too slow and not comfortable on the ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we assume that Robinson is going to be signed otherwise there would be no point retaining him and the fact that this is on the official site to indicates that O'Dea will be signed.

The thing starting to concern me is that 50% of the back four is sorted and it is the same players

Agree0 Disagree0

O'Dea just isn't good enough or hasn't been this season. Maybe he is a confidence player and can improve, but I doubt it. He hits it long everytime and when pressed panics with the ball. Lees may flourish with a decent CB next to him, but may have been drafted in this seaso a little too early. We need major surgery across the team

rob hulse to be signed on may 1st from Qpr on pre contract

Believable19 Unbelievable41

We don't want him or need him, we need to improve the squad.... Gj

Agree0 Disagree0

On present showings a 2 legged dog would improve the squad.........

Agree0 Disagree0

How is a quality goalscorer like Hulse not needed?? He'd be a great partner for McCormack {Ed020's Note - i agree, but its not a priority.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock said that he's going to build the squad from the back, so I wouldn't expect new strikers to be high on the list in the early days of the transfer window... {Ed020's Note - i agree, the strikeforce is'nt the problem, its the backline.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are we been linked to Q.P.R players all the time , maybe stan bowles will be joining us next ? i wouldnt believe anything until someone actually signs.everyone knows we need to build from the back first

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course we are being linked to QPR, Warnock has a long track record of bringing players from previous squads a team when he moves.

QPR was his last club, therefore we get linked to many of their players.

Agree0 Disagree0

He also likes to stockpile strikers, so I suspect we'll be linked to every striker outside the prem and a few of the fringe strikers in it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenny, Hill, Derry, Gabbidon, Hall, Hulse, Tommy Smith and anymore from QPR???

Agree0 Disagree0

Any chance of mackie or buzsacky (spelling :/)

Agree0 Disagree0

After not just the last two years of disappointment but basically the last 10 years I dont just want quality 30+ championship players who "can do a job" and get us up, I want something to shout about and get excited about. Players who have craft and flair, I want to go on a 20 match winning streak etc etc, I think we deserve it. mu ha ha ha.Slim chances like.

Agree0 Disagree0

I 100% disagree with the editor. If we think as a club that Luciano Becchio is good enough to get Leeds United into the premiership then we are extremely deluded. Yes he gives his all, yes he seems to score a few, but he breaks up play with his more than average lay offs and elephant like first touch. He's not very good in the air and resorts to falling on the ground. Becchio is the type of calibre of striker that needs to be on the bench to make an impact or play when one of our two main strikers are injured if we have a chance of going up. On the otherhand Rob Hulse last year when we beat QPR was quality, he won every, and i mean every, header and is just what we need. Its too easy to love becchio but we need better for promotion as harsh as it seems. Lets hope Bates backs him. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Rob Hulse has nothing left in him to play in the championship. He showed that last season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't warnock say yesterday on Yorkshire radio that he has not been looking to sign up his old players from QPR?

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't be Hulse - it's someone who's never played for him before.
