Diouf signed to a non-contract...
Surely just a temporary replacement until new player is found due to the way it has been done. if the take-over is still on, NW can use the money he has left to concentrate on a striker, then in January replace Diouf with a more permanent replacement for Snoddy. Just my opinion

I would think that it's incase Diouf causes trouble and that we can get rid of him easily enough. There would be no cancellation fee.

Maybe trying him out? maybe signs proper contract after a month?

If the takeover is completed and NW has money and El Hadji Diouf is doing the business, can you really see Neil letting him go? I certainly can't ...he'll just up his money and maybe even give him a contract to the end of the season.

Looks like he may give him a perminent contract and the non-contract signing was a way to use him in a competitive match, as you can't use trialist in cup or league games?

Only time will tell, if we can get McCormack and Diouf signed this week I'll be happy. Although we definately need defencive cover too!

Heard Templeton has signed a 3 year deal today and is having a medical on monday. Top signing if you ask me, seems to play with more flair than snoddy did, looking forward to seeing leeds get promoted this season.

I don't think he would sign a contract before a medical DO YOU.

He is in the Hearts squad for the local derby game tomorrow and was at the hotel in Edinburgh that Hearts use, this afternoon, so this is made up news by someone hoping to catch attention.

No chance, we have no money and just signed Diouf for that role.

I wish this were true, it would be the final piece of the jigsaw, especially when Somma is back, hopefully fully fit.

Stop saying Leeds will get promoted a top ten finish is the best to hope for other teams have far better squads then Leeds do

When NW took QPR up, they didn't have the best squad in the division by any means, but they played together in a manner that was effective and it worked. Let's do the same again here.

Not certain - just been shared out in all the games so far. Still think Pearce or Lees will get it

I don't think Lees is vocal enough to be the captain, but I do think Pearce could do the job, maybe even a midfielder.

My mate works at elland road serving drinks etc... in the players lounge. He said el-hadji diouf is on the bench, squad number 21. Seen his shirt hung up in the changing rooms.

i think we should keep ramon nunez hes a quality player never been given a fair chance if he got a few games think hed open a few eyes.

I for one can't wait to see the stack of 20p's we get for his sale! Terrible player, weak and very predictable. Sorry just not Championship quality.

Weve never seen him tho and if u see him on youtube he looks amazing but i agree hes done nothing for leeds

He's the best player of his style that we have. Nunez is a quality player and a proven goal scorer we should utilise his talent this season

He has pace and give 100% every game but very predictable good for the bench but will never be starting 11

I rate him not really given a chance in my eyes

DIouf training with us, he will be ace. Like Warnocks signings, imagine what damage we could do with 2 mill in the transfer market. Takeover, just FOAD Bates, Bates out.

Anybody but Diouf. Don't care how much people rate him, he is a trouble maker both on and off the pitch.

Would rather Leeds look elsewhere.

Hate the guy tbh,but don't think we have too many options with no money to spend.

I'm undecided about Diouf... He can quality and flare to our team. He fits in the positions we're looking for. He's on a free, and he was reportedly on £2000 a week at Doncaster, so he should be really cheap.

With all those positives, he's a dick. He gets in fights, spits on kids and is an alround horrible guy. But he could help us get promoted.

Remember the last time we got promoted, we had a player that was a dick. He got in fights, took out a Leeds child mascot with a tackle, grabbed other player nuts and was an alround horrible guy. But he (Vinnie Jones) helped us get promoted.

If Warnock can keep a short leash on Diouf he can help the club in the quest for promotion and that's all I care about this season.

Maybe reading well into this but I was at chippy over road from elland road and the portacabin where they print shirts on match days is open, I could see a massive pile of shirts, are they pre printing for a new high profile signing tomorrow? have lust created a massive smoke screen?

I know you will ask Who is you source? But genuinely can't reveal that! Have it on very good authority that NW is very much thinking about resigning from the manager's post at LUFC. He was personally telling a friend of mine yesterday! Hope he doesn't resign but can understand why. James

Utter tosh yet again, there's rumours and there's lies. Warnock wont walk away after pulling in 10 players takeover or no takeover, granted he might be annoyed but tell me someone who has leeds in there heart that isn't!! Warnock has never been a manager to demand thousands/millions on transfers, he has nearly always done the job at clubs with no money that's why like or dislike him many people respect him
