Sun says snoddy offered 15k a week

Believable31 Unbelievable14

How the f-ck would the sun know how much he as been offered

Agree0 Disagree0

Although i am not saying the quoted figure is untrue, the Sun once had an article a couple of years back about how a dog swallowed a Vanish wash tablet and the dog completely vanished!

this is the sort of drizzle the sun posts!

Agree0 Disagree0

Snoddy is being offered a contract to make him the highest paid player at the club. As we already have players on this amount it seems very unlikely that this is the amount offered.
Stay away from the red tops.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sun only good for page 3.......only one place for the sun and its at the bottom of my buggie cage!

Highest paid player at Leeds is Andy O'Brien on £18K per week

Would have thought Snodgrass deal is £20K plus some bonus if we go up?

snods off to norwich pre contract agreed small fee agreed due to his short contract at leeds

Believable10 Unbelievable69

What a load of s**t!! hes been offered a new contract at leeds which he will accept and play for leeds for at least 1 more season... sources... neil warnock and robert snodgrass!

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is your evidence, sounds a bit flawed to me

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, the day after we offer him a new deal.

My ass!

Agree0 Disagree0

I never knew a year was small contract. So to the first post if we sold howson for 2 million with six months to go how much are we selling snodgrass for? Like his name sake I think you have been smoking some grass mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope this is true, seeing as you're not allowed to approach a player under contract without the clubs permission . . Norwich will be found guilty of breaking the rules and we'll get a decent size compensation . . BTW Original poster, you're WRONG!

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy who probobly wrote it is a norwich supporter

Agree0 Disagree0

What is it with norwich, do they want all our players. snoddy will stay for at least another year and hopefuly longer

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see snoddy accepting anything less than 25k pw as he could go play in prem league and make that money easy . if he does reject contract we need to sell him as early as possible to get the maximum fee which could be as much as 8 mil. theres no point keeping a player that has had his head turned and has no ties to hold him down in leeds . when howson left he was saying he had nearly signed ,just a few more tweeks to the contract and it will be don ,a few week later we was saying bye to him and it will be the same again

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I would take £2-3m for him now as he is not consistent enough, and before all the replies to my post come on here slagging me off , look at the stats and the number of times he gets marked out of a game or goes missing and cant beat the 1st man with a decent cross into the box. Decent lge 1 / mid table championship player but thats all , good return on £100k investment for me all day long. We need 2 pacy wingers , a striker with pace and ability to hold up the ball , a ball winning midfielder and 2 decent CH's plus a goalkeeper who doesnt push the ball back into play when he cant gather the ball. Enough said .

Agree0 Disagree0

How about the stat that he's our 2nd highest scorer, our leading assister. He also played a part in 13 goals last season. He was also our leading assister in our promotion season and our 3rd top scorer, as he was the season he signed. Just a few 'stats' for ya . . Idiota!

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been proved right but a tad disappointed that only 1 2005- current date supporter has replied to my post ! For the record it is spelt "IDIOT" not Idiota , but then why am i surprised as the spelling mistakes that appear on this site are a sad reflection of todays standards ! I still satnd by my judgement he is not the player that some people think he is so carry on with your Xbox Matey !!!

Agree0 Disagree0

From your expert opinion that is hes not good enough for the championship despite the fact when we have played premiership opposition like united arsenal liverpool he has destroyed their full backs get the grips your a bit deluded and seen as you were slagging the other lads spelling its stand not satnd im not surprised when you clearly have not a clue about football to think snodgrass is a mid table championship player i must say though thanks for giving me a good laugh i needed it haha

Agree0 Disagree0

For the record son i played semi-pro for 21 yrs as both right winger and centre forward and beleive me i know what i am talking about, he wouldn't have got in any of teams i played for. Football is not the same these days when you look at the quality of the vast majority today getting paid ridiculous amounts of money who would not have made it 30 yrs ago. My only regret is that the great players of the past didn't get the financial rewards that their talents deserved who not only graced ER but put the White shirt on. He is not in same league.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you offer someone a pre contract when he has a year left on his original contract. do you know anything about football?

Agree0 Disagree0

You need a reality check i can come on here an say i currently playfor accrington stanley and nobody can tell if i am lying or not surely if you do play semi pro soccer you will recognise the obvious talents of snodgrass who in my opinion is undervalued at the moment as a player soo he is not consistant enough i agree but he still has more assists in this league than any other player and has been are beat player all season until warnock arrived with his long ball s**te u said he was crap and would take 2-3m forhim i can honestly say ihave not seen anyone make evra look so average since the 6-1 against city and before that i cant think of anyone else so snoddy lacks pace but his technical ability is second to none in this league if only leeds had more players with his ability determination and drive we would not be in this position if you can name any player on the leeds roster who is better i would love ta hear it

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the post before you reply, i quote "I played" emphasis on "Played" If i was still playing i would be up there with Sir Stanley Mathews playing in my 50's! Not doubting his abality merely expressing my opinions and i stand (yes stand) by it in that I beleive he is overated and if we could get a decent fee for him then take it and invest the monies wisely in several players who can get us out of the Championship once & for all (before you question "Monies" check it out in Edwards English dictionary first)

Agree0 Disagree0

So someone who scores 13 goals and 14 assists this season is overrated, well its a good thing your not in charge of the club or we really would be screwed dont quit your day job mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh wow, you are *so* the right person to highlight spelling mistakes. Mind if I extend the same courtesy to you?

*today's
*stand
*believe
*ability
*overrated

Agree0 Disagree0

Some one else who thinks Snodgrass is over rated and personally having been home and away for many seasons and seen some of the better wingers at ER going back to Eddie Gray. I have to say Snods would not get in to the teams we had in the 70s and not even the team we had in 91-92 or 2001 for that matter. Unfortunately and this shows how far we have fallen he is currently the best of a bad bunch, that said NW hinted at the recent meet the fans that he is prepared to upset the fans and sell any player to give him funds to rebuild, TAXI FOR SNODGRASS guaranteed gone by August

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously Snoddy wouldn't have gettin into the 60's/70's team, or the Championship winning team or the 2001 side, we were one of the top teams in England and Europe at the time, pathetic to even compare the current side to those sides. Right now we're a mid-table Championship side and Snodgrass is our best player by a long way, he's good enough to be playing Premiership football, he's been consistently one of our most important players since he joined the club, the stats back that up.
Idiota is the Italian for Idiot, I obviously didn't think person had an 'a' at the end.

Agree0 Disagree0

What sides he might or might not have gotten into is completely irrelevant. The fact is - he is our best player now and we need him now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes finally some people with a bit a common sense he will be in the prem by the end of next season no matter what he is too good not to play prem he would be good enough upto a midtable prem team and considering he cost 100,000 grayson and his scouting team did a fantastic job of picking the likes of him gradel mccormack becchio out (GRAYSON=Top Bloke Top Manager)

Agree0 Disagree0

Do people not fully read posts or just choose to pick parts of a post, I posted about Snodgrass not getting in to our better teams to highlight he is not/ nor in my honest opinion never will be of a standard or class that some fans think he is. He is at best lower half premier / top half championship team quality. For the record I also said clearly HE IS CURRENTLY THE BEST OF A BAD BUNCH. Please dont pick at sections of a post read the whole thing and answer in context

Agree0 Disagree0

Grayson didn't sign Becchio or Snodgrass, Gary Mac did.

Agree0 Disagree0

At last some other people agree with me that he is at the top of his game now and only looks good due to poor overall quality of the current squad. If it is down to money and what he can earn then go to Norwich or similar club in Premiership as they can currently better what we can offer. My money is on this route as both Johnson & Howson will be talking to him and Lambert will be encouraging it in the background, remember Ferdinand getting tapped up in 02! I can speak with authority on this matter as it happened to me several times in my playing days and yes i moved for more money and I am experiencing the same with my lad getting approached via players at other clubs who wish to sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

That wasn't the original argument, the original argument was that 'stats' show that he's not as good as we think, when in reality the 'stats' show that he's been consistently one of our biggest contributers for 4 seasons now. If he doesn't sign a new deal then yeah, I'd be happy to see us take 4m for him, but he's out best player, and as you said a top championship side/lower premiership side player, do we not want to be a top championship side next season?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well lets hope KB opens the cheque book and we sign some better players then! Stats look good on paper but its what happens on the pitch that matters and I still stand by my origional comments that there are better players out there with even more impressive stats playing at this level and that we should take the money for him and re-invest in one of them. With regards to whether we play Championship or Premiership football next season is irrelavant as we are already virtually mathematically out of the running this season and yes I agree we should be looking to be a top Championship side challenging for automatic promotion next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

He sets goals up and scores goals, that IS what happens on the pitch, that's why those statistics are there. Also, to be a top end Championship club you need top end Championship players, we already have one, so why bother selling him and hoping we can reinvest the money in another, there are NO guarentees in football.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see i am not going to win this arguement with you am I ? So lets beg to differ and move on as it is getting boring trading comments with you.
