What really amazes me is some folk saying cash in on Wood. Say 20 mill. Buy a striker for 10 and a CB for 5 and keep the other 5 for January. Absolute fools. These lads must believe if we buy a striker for 10 mill and a CB for 5 mill that said striker is guaranteed to score 20 plus goals and the new centre back will be like Bobby Moore. Jesus effing H. Wood is a poor footballer but like Gary Lineker will alaways score goals. Well at least in championship. If we sell Wood we are abso effed imo. Who will score the goals? A few have said Roofe. i'd be happy if he scored 8 goals this season as he is not a goalscorer! We have to keep Wood

This post illustrates why we bump heads Corky. There are no guarantees in life or football. Yes there's no guarantee of Wood's replacement scoring 20 goals but equally there's no guarantee Wood will hit 20 either. Yes Wood more likely to hit 20 because he's here at Leeds already but we do have a new manager so things aren't going to revolve around him anymore like they did under 🙉. An opportunity to 6 fold your investment is too enticing Corky. For 16m+ I'd sell and hope we can use the money wisely for the remaining part of the transfer window. Selling players for top £ is what frequently keeps vast majority of clubs going. We are part of that vast majority. He's a sell for me at the right price.

It will be great if Wood stays and he scores another 20-30 goals, particularly if he wants to stay. But none of that is guarenteed either. Might depend a lot on him and how much he does or doesn't want to go. If he does go not impossible either that we could buy a 20 plus striker and a decent defender, depends on the quality of the recruitment. I guess that's the challenge for the Management team. The coach has made his position very clear and I would imagine that he knows the views of the chairman.

If Swansea wanna give us 12 and Bartley I think if we offered 12 for Troy deeney a day put him on high wages we'd get him or Conner wickham who are around better footballers

Not a goalscorer. Based on? How many times has he led our line? Twice? Roofe is very good forward. Wood is a poor footballer and if we get 20 mil, I'd be satisfied. We could even get away with playing alioski as the forward or switching to a false 9 and using a bigger midfielder as a holdup man. I think we've got enough to get us through regardless. We do need a couple of defenders. There are enough good target men out there that won't cost the earth. Roofe is perfectly capable when given the chance. That's a guarantee!

Rhodes past his best -clearly in decline; many of those goals were years ago, and in League 1. Most likel would end up another Morison scenario -just more expensive.

Wood a poor footballer lol you Leeds fans have no idea atall, he's a class striker who needs a better team with players who can cross unlike Hadi sacko lol wood does his job perfectly it's not his fault Leeds have awful wide players who can't cross.

20 mill for wood is good business. I like him, he's chapman-esque. not a great player, but a great goal scorer. If we sell, and reinvest wisely, we will be better off. The dynamic of the team has changed, and a better footballer, as opposed to just a goal scorer would suit our team better, given the way we've set up since TC came in.

Think a more realistic figure for wood is 12-16 mil As for replacement I think, if not Roofe, then Saiz could do a job up front. Slippery as an eel and technically gifted. Not a line leader but get the ball in the box and I can see him putting it away.
