Relief to see Austin go -sadly way more shocking games than good & no positional sense. Sorry to see White go, though -was a promising left back whose career was ruined by being played all over the place by Warnock (right wing anyone?!) & McDermott. Still, we move on, and good luck to them both in their careers.

Austin average, good work rate but distribution and final ball not very good. Honest player though and thought he may have been kept but need more players in so some have to go, rather him than Mowatt.

Disppointed with the rudy decision, maybe not a first team starter but a decent squad player nonetheless. And the big bosses didn't agree should have got half a mil for him or do a matt smith with him. He will be a big coup for a championship club on a free and will probably come back to bite us. Aidy White I really wanted to succeed, great pace but nothing else really. Would have maybe progressed if he wasn't the new Jonathan woodgate!

Think some of our strikers will be on transfer list in the summer. This list is just those out of contract I think.

Glad Rudy gone, dcent effort but way short on finished product, should have scored way more goals in my eyes.

Austins wages were too much for an average player

Neither of them are anywhere near good enough, good decision.

Nigel Atkins? Proven track record of gaining promotion.

So did Neil warnock and Brian McDermott. Adkins failed miserably at reading and Southampton have done better without him. Not for me! Stick with redfearn and Thompson and give them a fair crack.

You guys enjoy the championship then, as we'll be stuck there with those 2 in charge. Atkins's saints took the mick outta us a few seasons ago, wouldn't mind us doing that to some teams

Moreover, look at the mediocrity of his teams performances. He consistently ruins teams that were previously good e.g. Reading!
I pray that it’s as inaccurate as most news from Elland road

yes but he wants a longer contract than mc wants so I would think mc says 12mths only no way to build a team on 12mth contract
