Middlesbrough are set to sign Wolves striker Kevin Doyle, allowing Marvin Emnes to leave. Charlton and Leeds are rumoured to be interested.

Why would we go after players that are not good enough for other Championship teams when they are after the better players! We might not win the league or even play offs but at least some show of ambition would be good

Le Fondre will not be sold unless Reading sign a replacement first. And that will not happen during this window

He is right that Reading need a replacement first. Rumour has it theywant to sign Billy Sharp permanently so then they will let him go. One issue though is that he is on circa 30k a week so will have to take a pay cut

I heard that we are being linked with Luke Moore who is available for free. His current club Elazigspor are suffering from financial problems and are therefore willing to let Moore leave for nothing. Hope it's not true, I didn't like him at Villa or Swansea

Judging by spl standard at the moment (one horse race - Celtic guarenteed not to do anything in Europe. Would be out of leeds and Wigan. Leeds nearer the playoffs signed 2 players this week. Wigan offloaded a player this week and as inconsistent as us. Leeds bigger fan base than Wigan more chance of a starting spot with our striker situation I'd go leeds. Unless he's a money man.

Right I too am a leeds fan - live in Ireland & celtic are a MASSIVE club doing very well have some excellent players and a young manager in lennon whos doing a excellent job, to even suggest 2 teams in the championship - englands 2nd tier is more attractive prospect than celtic is deluding yourself so c'mon get real lads and stop dreaming

The 35k will have been a premier wage, I doubt he will be offered that by Reading if he stayed for another contract and no other championship club would pay him that. He might settle for a big signing on fee and less per week. He wants to play football so a move is a must

Would be nice but really at least one dominating central midfielder is more essential, if you don't have the ball then no number of wingers or strikers will be able to do anything.

You could play alf and Connor up from with McCormack in Middle of them just feeding them ball through middle as he's got great vision or on the wing and cutting in on goal with his grit and pace.would be fantastic. Dreaming!
