New season, new budget, more quality, name me one team in the last 3 seasons that hasn't gone up and brought in less that 5 new players 😉 As much as we love this team, if we do go up a lot of them will be axed due to quality. Unless monk thinks they can make the step up, we will struggle to keep this 18 together, and for me they will struggle to get points, but it's all about the excitement. Who cares just bring on the play offs 😁.

I have no doubt that we would go and buy many players, however quality cost mega bucks and we have one of the smallest budgets in our league, nevermind the prem.

Not really, there's plenty of dreadful teams in the PL. If Burnley and Bournemouth can survive with average players, I don't see why we can't.

As long as sg people's expectations aren't to high if we do go up. Bournemouth have spent an absolute fortune though and aren't they banked rolled by a Russian billionaire or something

If we went up, I'd be delighted with 17th. But I do believe we could do much better than that. Monk got Swansea to 8th without overspending.

Does anyone commenting above realise the money involved being in the Premier league now generate from the TV deals alone? Let's just get there first and have this debate in the summer lads. MM

I know MM, but you can't just spend it all because we have it, or think it's coming. that's what caused all our problems in the first place

Think it's safe to assume our credit rating is fairly low as a club

Probably, like one of those novelty flavours walkers do? Don't think we would spend like that to be honest mass and radz seem pretty clued up on that kind of thing, which makes me think huge signings etc wouldn't be the order of the day.

We have to get up first and after Newcastle we play to defensive. So your not seeing what the players can really do . We have 6/7 players that can make the step up roofe wood green the back 4 and Taylor should he stay and 2 or 3 others spend money £20 million would get to good players and loan 1/2 players . Just have to look in the market for the right players right price . I would like to see cm come in with experience

Wayne we've been battered a fair few times this season to be fair. Agreed though those players would be ok, but as a squad we aren't really strong enough. In total agreement about the cm though. I've mentioned Carrick
