Leeds also rumoured to be tracking Crewe winger Byron Moore.

Would be a good signing got pace

Agree0 Disagree3

Need to put an end to signing lower league players. Smith and Murphy are enough to add to the likes of Brown, Norris, Varney, Pugh

Agree2 Disagree0

B Mac as a good reputation for unearthing lower league talent, i'd rather we sign these young hungry players who have abilty to improve further, then 30+ yr old prem league-Championship cast offs as we did last summer, and whom now are of no use and we cannot get rid.

Agree6 Disagree0

Have to agree this would be a good move. We can't afford the wages of Premier league cast-offs or decent strikers so we have to cut our cloth according to our means. BMD has a good record of plucking players from lower leagues and turning them into gems. MOT Ron

Agree2 Disagree1

If we can't afford premier league wages, then how do we deserve to play in that division?

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 5th reply. What kind of comment is that? We can't afford premiership wages because where not there yet. Not sure if you noticed but you get a lot of money for promotion, allowig for higher wages.

Agree1 Disagree1

Think ill let mcdermott be the judge of players we sign not you take a look at his record does le fondre ring any bells

He's an Udinese player. I don't think they would sell or loan a player to a Championship side other than Watford.

Agree4 Disagree1

Not true

Agree0 Disagree1

I very much doubt it. Unless we somehow have £3.5m to splash out on him.

Agree0 Disagree1

We may have approached for him but with teams like Schalke apparently offering £5m for him and the fact Udinese bought him for £7.5m just 2 years ago I find it hard to believe we can afford him

Agree2 Disagree1

I think this is just agents trying to get a strong negotiating position for a new contract.

Agree1 Disagree0

He, l cost serious $, forget it, won, t be happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

Valued at 3.5 million . need I go on?

Agree0 Disagree0

Get him signed up, then wake up.
this would would be an amazing signing though.
we can dream maybe next year back in the prem hey.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes wanted by bologna too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be superb, he's the type of players fans will wanna watch, like I said above, 3.5 is a price tag that seems out of our range.

Leeds United ready to make move to sign Byron Moore from Crewe. The 24 year old winger would command a reasonable fee but McDermott is confident of doing a deal within the next week.

Believable44 Unbelievable58

Sounds about right as he's from the lower leagues

Agree2 Disagree0

A Crewe fan friend says he will drive him to Leeds for us, lazy and a whimp in the tackle Just what we need. This guys is crap and we need better.

Agree0 Disagree0

He'd fit in well here in regards to his quality

As our hunt for a new winger could see the departure of El Hadji Diouf, Leeds are being linked with highly rated Crewe Winger Byron Moore. We could face competition for him though as a host of Championship and SPL clubs are interested in the 24 year old winger.

Diouf, Norris & Drury will be shipped out to make way for a new signing or two. This should put an end to the McCormack rumours.

Believable63 Unbelievable67

Does this mean we are keeping Pugh and Tonge?

Agree2 Disagree3

Oh ok, thanks
That ought to squash the worldwide rumour mill!

Agree2 Disagree0

Comment 1 . Michael Tonge is worth keeping. He's a far better player, and far more versatile than Brown, Pugh, Norris, Hall and Aidy White.

JDC

Agree4 Disagree1

How do you "squash" a rumour mill?
Tonge played 90 mins against Brighton & Pugh is our emergency centre half because that's where he played in pre-season.

Agree1 Disagree0

Leeds now owned by someone else, on Reuters site today, but GFH would not say who has bought the 50% + shares. MOT

Agree0 Disagree1

Rather pugh or tonge were shipped out instead, Diouf could be handy this year!

Agree0 Disagree0

Gutted if dioufy goes. He's one of the few class players we have. however I put my trust in McDermott.

Agree2 Disagree0

Makes sense to get rid of those 3, there not 1st team regulars, as for diouf going if it means we can bring someone younger in, so be it, i'd rather get something now for him now, than nowt next summer when his contracts up, i'm sure drury will attract intrest, as would norris, hopefully pugh will go also.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yorkshire Post jumping the gun again with a bad guess from the response byBMcD
I wonder what planet this paper is on some days. They're the worst form of speculative press that I've come across. Always negative towards Leeds United.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maccy D want Diouf to stay. Official site contradicts rumour he'll be released

Tonge has a nice touch and can occasionally play a good pass but he has no legs and slows the game down. He missed several opportunities for good first time balls. Norris is a decent player but a bit of a luxury. He can run but only when attacking!? His tracking is terrible but he is far more likely to be attractive to other clubs than tonge. Diouf has class but also slows the game down too much. I think he earned many of his plaudits last year coming on as sub and looking miles better than the dross that had failed for the first 70 minutes. There are half a dozen players we wouldn't miss and I think mcd would happily lose any of them to free up wages. We are 2-3 players short of a good side but I am confident mcd can take this side to around top 6 based on good tactics, team spirit and round pegs in round holes!

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i'd keep diouf, good player when fit and in right mind set, comment 3 why would we get rid of aidy white, we need wingers and he is best one we have at present along with ryan hall, can't judge a player of 5 games that they played last season

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2013 03:15:48
I don't know why but everybody seems to be happy at the prospect of aidy white leaving this puzzles me. Every time I've seen him given the opportunity he plays well, fast and direct, warnock is our first choice left back but aiden whites a decent back up to have. Plus I think white could be played regurly in the 2 wing positions and exell a player with multiple uses should not be taken for granted. MOT

Michael Manccienne, not wanted in Germany. Leeds one of many interested.

Believable33 Unbelievable41

Worth a punt.

Agree1 Disagree0

3 month ago he was highly satisfied with his leading role in Hamburg, don't see things changed in so short of time. Would be great though.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would be a great signing, still fairl young but has lots of experience at cb, certainly a BMCD type of player

Agree1 Disagree0

Would be an exceptional signing.
Not sure on the validity of the claim that he's not wanted by Hamburg.
CityWhite

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need him people what's he done in his career really

Agree1 Disagree1

Not achieved as much as roque junior did in his career!

I've been informed we're looking at getting in two players in before the window closes. Leeds have stepped up their interest in Matt Mills but are yet to make an offer. We're also trying to sign a winger who isn't Tommy Rowe.

Believable14 Unbelievable25

Steve Parkin just bought the luminere site in leeds city centre for 51 million, if he's a life long leeds fan with that sort of money surely it would have been safer to in vest in your supposedly life long club rather then build some posh tower blocks, if he did invest in us at the time he 'd be sitting in is chair busting a and ut because we're doing great at the moment well done gfhc keep the fans happy and keep the momentum going h.p ls6

Neil Danns is arriving on loan view a view to a permanent transfer

Believable6 Unbelievable68

Another midfielder? Really?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if we are to play with no wingers then we need one more creative midfielder because green has played rubbish against Leicester and chesterfield. Don't know about Brighton because I wasn't there. But e was rubbish. Much rather tonge play

Agree0 Disagree1

Really gone to Bristol City on loan today.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah, the return of the Neil Danns rumour
