looks like Craig Meckail Smith is coming for around £2.5-£3.5m but i dont know why leeds want him he only scored 8 goals last season and 2 were against leeds. Where is the money coming from aswell cant see Mr Bates paying that. ED?

Rhodesy96 {Ed013's Note - I think it is paper talk mate, but I may be wrong. Neil would get the most out of him. I would like George Boyd and he is available}

Hope not . 19 goals + cash for 9 goals . bad business

the signs are showing that if Snodgrass does leave there is no takeover or money coming but if he stays it will happen.

Rhodesy96

Believable15 Unbelievable12

Agreed, sounds as if we're been primed for both takeover dead and snodgrass going. Oh to be a Leeds fan

Agree0 Disagree0

How on earth can you make this assumption... based on what facts exactly. He is not irreplaceable, If we can get over 4M for Snodgrass we should sell him it makes great business and football sense, NW can do much better than Snodgrass with 4M to spend

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd say the opposite. Sale of Snods = takeover. Because sale of Snods = immediate buy back of ER and TA causing the takeover to complete.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone think that actually he just might want to move on regardless. Allways said if right offer comes in take it as he is over rated in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

I tend to think that if we can afford to let Snodgrass go - even though I'd hate to see that happen - then it's because we have money coming in to buy better.

I would be very reticent to let him go for anything less than 3 million, but if he won't sign a contract after all the rebuilding that is starting to take place around him, then so be it?

Seems to be that Austin is coming for a fee around £350,000 really good replacement for Clayton. He is strong, quick, good on the ball and has a brilliant shot and free kick on him (look at his vids)

This not fact just my thought, warnock will look at gradel if/when the takeover happens and/if he available for around 1-1.5m. He has proved himself at us, lightning quick, scores goals galore and fiesty like neil likes his players. Might be my heart ruling head but makes bit of sense to me. Also to the sh#t stirers/doubters saying austin aint coming to leeds and we mid table team look at his interview:-) you better be scared and on ere watching us and what we doing. LEEDS UNITED! and RODOLPH AUSTIN are coming for the lot of ya! Ha ha M.o.t

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Question for ed! is this post and the one below from the same person the wording has many similarities...M.O.T {Ed013's Note - No mate, different people}

Why does everyone think Gradel is going anywhere?

If we want gradel we will be paying atleast 3 mil now as hes performing well in the french league

Hi eds, been on hol for 2weeks and back on site for update from contact at leeds council and surprised by how many have been on saying the deal dead.
I have been on several times rightly stating bidders were from bahrain way before most and constantly said the takeover wouldnt be done by end ov july which i was slaughtered for.
My update is that the deal is on the brink of collapse, khalifa is running the consortium, but several backers have pulled out as bates wants a % based profit add on to deal if make premiership in 3years on top of sale price. some of the backers are frustrated at how long deal taking when forest have been taken over fully in a 3week period from when they made there bid. Also some backers believe the price that bates wants is very inflated as nearly double what kawaiti buyers of forest paid and they got all assets whilst khalifa isnt getting elland rd and thorpe arch in the deal.
i have heard khalifa is tryin to get other backers as fears being made to look a fake as would be the 2nd time he has tried to buy leeds and failed.
I await the onslaught of doubters who call me negitive and deal is done. But for those with sense and have looked back to see my other posts are now true i will keep updating when can. Thanks eds

Believable19 Unbelievable16

Life long leeds fan and friend to one of the lads from pontefract thats all i can say, but he told me on first day of training they were told takeover is done and will be announced within 10 days so you are talking absolute rubbish, why are you purposely trying to wind up fans

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to say, I think the takeover is dead. It's taken too long. Acquisitions and I've done a few don't take this long. I was part of the team working for caterpillar who acquired Perkins engines (2 Weeks). Sold Volvo cars to ford headed mergers and acquisition team for Volvo based in gothenburg. It took 3 weeks start to finish. It has to be quick due to publicity. All taken too long for me, deals dead. A bit of a coincidence all of a sudden snodgrasss rumours have suddenly come out today. I reckon deals off. Only a view, but looks like it to me. Lust won't announce it as they will look like fools overnight. All stinks gone too quiet. When something goes this quiet it's off. By the way...ticket office open, and if I was the new owner I'd want some positive PR out there to get the fans buying tickets. There isn't any. Warnock is staying because he's got loyalty to the fans and his son. Top top man...he must be so annoyed with the bull****. As I am.

Agree0 Disagree0

IF this is true and the takeover ultimately falls through then the only solution is to BOYCOTT ELLAND ROAD. Its the only answer. An empty ER will focus KB's mind like nothing else. I feel the allegation is typical of Bates. If there is one thing he loves above all others is money and he doesnt care who he shafts to get as much of it as he can. LLHB

Agree0 Disagree0

First of all the Forest takeover wasn't concluded in 3 weeks.
quote 'Nottingham Forest's new club sponsor says a takeover of the club is imminent while the Reds chief executive Mark Arthur has admitted there is interest from more than one party.' This story was on bbc website on 12th June, and it was already ongoing for a couple of weeks before then, so it has taken well over 6 weeks at the least. Secondly it hasn't gone quiet, it has been quiet all along, with only 2 official announcements. Maybe the deal is dead, but what is for certain is that you know FA about it.
MaltaWhite

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly Forest's takeover wasn't completed in a 3 week period.
Quote 1 'Nottingham Forest have refused to comment on growing speculation that they are on the verge of being taken over by a Kuwaiti millionaire. ' This was on the Beeb's website on 31st May.

Quote 2 'Nottingham Forest's new club sponsor says a takeover of the club is imminent while the Reds chief executive Mark Arthur has admitted there is interest from more than one party. ' This was on 12th June, so as you can see it took over 6 weeks.
Secondly, the deal may well be dead, but one thing that is certain is that you know FA about it.
Apologies if this is double posted.

How has Norwich bidding for Snodgrass gor anything to do with take over? That argument makes no sense! Norwich have bid for Snodgrass...He hasn't been tranfer listed!

I live in Afghanistan and a mate of mine khalifa comes round to my cave every couple of weeks for a game of darts...he says the deal is most definitely
on..And this is true...honest !! {Ed013's Note - That made me giggle!}

Agree0 Disagree0

I might be prepared to believe SOME of the origianl post, but certainly not all of it. Why don't you substantiate any of it?

It's not surprising people doubt you when you don't name any sources, or even add your own name/nick?

If any of this secrecy is to prevent jeopardising anything, then you've already done that?

Certainly seems to be scaremongering, rather than anything solid.

The only problem I have with this takeover is the fact that we are still stalling on paying for wanted targets....

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi all, replying to all questions. Firstly i was under impression my posts were always added with name as leave name and email. Next, briefly my friend works for leeds city council in the business rates section as has had dealings with supplying records and info to perspective buyers and also registering directors as having business interests in leeds. If u want more info read on nrt about business rates sections of councils. I have never claim to have specifics of deal with names etc just info passed thru offices. I stated the takeover was being run by a bahrainian consurtium at middle of may and also stated big hold up was with elland rd an training ground about a month ago. to clarify the 3week forest completion comment i ment from when due degelence explusivity was granted to the date of press conference was 3weeks not the whole takeover talk. lastly to those who think im just winding fans up i really dont see the point? As a leeds fan if i was bothered in doing this id be sat on the scum mufcs page winding them up. Hope clears up for those with genuine questions, for those who have no interest in believing my comment i say jog on and stop reading a rumour page. Roger out whites !! NB

Just been listening to bbc radio leeds and adam pope was speaking exclusively to rodolph austin it was intresting to hear what he had to say about leeds austin said erik bakke has told him about leeds and that he is hoping to seal a move in the coming days all sounded very promising to me i say sign him up warnock?

Believable20 Unbelievable6

Pope was on Look North mentioning the same thing, then mentioned more or less that we don't have a pot to p**s in.. until whatever this so called takeover takes place!

Agree0 Disagree0

He also said on look north that he was desperate to join leeds but we havent got the funds to complete the deaL

Agree0 Disagree0

Saw the interview on Look north too. He said Austen would jump at the chance to join leeds but alas no monies. He also mentioned an email from the bahrain authority's saying no one involved in takeover on their side. Then 10 days later a email saying they had it wrong, 1 was involved. The plot gets thicker.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it is accepted we don't have a pot to p*ss in until the takeover, Mr Bates will have cashed in on the said pot to line his own pockets no doubt! Clayton basically paid for Kenny and now McCormack or Lonergan will have to pay for the next addition unless the takeover is finalised soon! we never do things the easy way.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way this can be right is it? all of our player sales massivly out weight our player purchases. i know wages play a big part but how about our gates and shirt sales and lutv ect...can a business be run like this legitermatly? I mean could sainsburys say i know we sold a load of food but we dont have money to buy more food in because of sue on fag counters wages? sort it out bates or sell up and let us fans know some details we deserve that at least

Agree0 Disagree0

The selling of players doesn't mean that we have no money.Every new manager will want his own team, personally I would like to think that the deal is done and dusted ,as we all know that if a club selling a player knows the buying club has money a player worth £500k suddenly is worth!1million. my mate bumped into aiden white both walking their dogs on otley chevin, aiden told him hes definatley off not sure where as there is a few options, and all players were told on first day of training (last wed) by warnock that the club was being taken over and would be made public within 10 days.
Otley white

Believable10 Unbelievable24

When did White become 2 people or more? He'd certainly make a better LB then.

I think Aiden meant he was definitely 'off' after talking to him, he had several options, nearest pub being one of them?

I do find it hard to believe Aiden White would just bump into someone and start discussing his future with him...?

leeds 6/1 to sign owen. odds have dropped straight down now

Believable10 Unbelievable30

Sorry to burst your bubble my northern flat capped whippett racing friend but Owen stated on Saturday that he is not ready or prepared to drop a Division. Likeles port of call will be Stoke or Villa. If he was to drop a Div he would end up at Brighton, very good pal of their chairman.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we want someone who has spent the best part of there career injured ?
George LS13

Agree0 Disagree0

It's true the odds are 6/1 but Owen did say at the weekend he would only stay in the Prem if not he would move abroad

Agree0 Disagree0

Too expensive too injured if he was one of his race horses he would have been shot long ago not for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Sick note that plays the odd game and proudly parades his medal like he's the main man. Anyway already dismissed playing in the championship as it's beneath the little turd. No thanks wouldn't want him if he was totally free...

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope that's Mrs Owen from down my local pub, and not the footballer....

Agree0 Disagree0

You clearly don't read papers, because it was all over them at the weekend that Owen has categorically stated he will not step down to the Championship. He believes he can still do a job in the PL, be it warming benches, or keeping physios busy. He's past it anyway.

Right if we got 4-5M for Snoddy, who would you buy? I would bring in:
G Boyd - £750K
R Austin - £300K
E Diouf - Free
L Varney - £300K
Beckford - £1.5M
I would also scout the leagues for a decent winger... maybe thing a decent one in the swedish league etc. What do you think ed? {Ed037's Note - I'd have a good look at Marc Pugh if i was NW, he's a fantastic pacy winger, but yeah, i agree with this potential signing although you could also easily get another big signing like a solid RB}

Believable9 Unbelievable6

This happens though if we have bates in charge! All the money goes in his pocket like the sales of Delph, Gradel, Howson etc.
ConnorMOT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not going to get that amount IMO - more like the Howson fee. Norwich are looking for a bargain knowing hes out of contract in 12 months.
Would think nearer the £3m mark.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only one of those 5 i'd sign would be Austin. I'd get Peltier, Rhodes, Buszacky, Heskey

Agree0 Disagree0

I would not be interested in Beckford or Varney. Instead Ebanks -Blake, a good right back (Peltier?), Austin and another commanding CH (not normally in favour of players coming back - but Kilgallon maybe).

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to get that kind of brass for Snodgrass but in reality I seriousl doubt we would get much if any over 2mill. Clubs can wait and get him this time next year for nothing so why pay 4-5 mill now? He is a good player yeah but unproven in the the Prem so its a gamble at best for them! If we get offered 2 or even 2.5 them take it !
PeteMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Like your line-up -mostly! Boyd and Beckford are musts; Austin may have something. Has Diouf not gone abroad already? The only one I would defo give a miss is Varney. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Cripes, someone mentioned Heskey! Bring back Paul Dickov I say...Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Marc Pugh would be a good signing or Alan Judge at Notts County he got a lot of assists last year and is pacy

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt we would get that much anyway, knowing us, Ken will flog him for anything around £1.5 - £2m. Clubs aren't going to pay the good money we want if he only has a year left on his contract. Our only chance is if Lambert at villa still wants him and some sort of bidding war kicks in.

Agree0 Disagree0

First we not get 4-5 mil for snoddy.

second think we need to look at value of keeping him, he has passion and knows leeds and is the ideal man to lead us this year, work 10 mil to us if we get promoted!

third don't agree with diouf and varney, get buzsaky and peltier.

NW building slowly!

Mark14

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont we have any young strikers already on the books ready to come in aqnd have a go?

Agree0 Disagree0

Please not Heskey he can't even score in a brothel. If we have to have an old has been Louis Saha would be better

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford is a div 1 player at best!!! When are you non football brainers going to get this???? {Ed013's Note - I like to think I have a good footballing brain and although he frustrated me at times with his sulking and laziness, his record proves he is better than League 1. 10 goals for Everton in his first season in the Prem and he was mainly a sub. 15 goals for Leicester in the Championship when they were playing terrible and he was also a sub a lot of the time. Leeds were a good team with Beckford in it due to the fact they could use his pace to play a different way. Yes he needed 20 shots to score a goal, but you can't fault his record. He got the winner against Stretford Utd and the promotion goal}

Norwich bid for Snodgrass believed to be in the region of £2.5 million.
ConnorMOT!

Believable15 Unbelievable9

Well I think yo giess at £2.5m is closer than the previous posters £6m!

Spend that on Austin, Peltier, Varney, Norris, and then £1.5m on a quality winger?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sell Snoddy and spend the money on 5 players as you suggest. We would lose 1 wage and have to pay out 5, so that is just not going to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

This is just my prediction here, I think Leeds will reject the bid and Norwich will increase the amount or just move on because they don't rate Snodgrass more than £4 million I've been told.
ConnorMOT!

Agree0 Disagree0

If they give 2-3 million let him go and let warnock invest the money in players

Agree0 Disagree0

If clubs are looking at mcCormack for 2.5 million with 1 year left, then Snodgrass is worth a lot more than 2.5 million..

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know where people pull these amounts from. You would think the papers would understand the transfer market by now also. Craig Mackail smith for 3 mill, 2.5 for McCormack and 6 for snodgrass. Jokes. 3 mill would b a good deal for snoddy with a year left. I'd personally take 1- 1.2 mill for McCormack with a year left. I'd like snoddy to stay but if he wants out let him go. Same with McCormack, I just hope we replace them both. We needed a better, more pacey striker than McCormack to play with becchio anyway

Whiterose1919

Agree0 Disagree0

Secure snoddy, unless offer is above 4 million but as for Maccormack and sky sports, we should do the swap for mackail-smith. He's alot quicker than telle tubby and works alot harder for the team.
IN WARNOCK WE TRUST!
mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

Whiterose1919 - mccormack will go for at least 2m something to do with a buyout clause in his contract. something between 20-40% of the sale goes to cardiff.and the mackail smith thing, it was reported that we would bid 3m. altho hes probably only worth the same as mccormack, if that.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 2nd comment, yes but we also relased 7 players at the end of the season too and have signed 4, so there will definately be a bit of room in the wage budget.

Agree0 Disagree0

All I'm saying is I'd love leeds to keep Macca and snoddy because they're such key players to Leeds and will play a part this season, also they haven't rejected the offers there just waiting to see if were ambitious enough for next season.

Norwich bid £6 million for snodgrass, very reliable source {Ed013's Note - I doubt they will pay 6 million for a player with 12 months to go on his contract}

Believable5 Unbelievable30

Nobody would pay £6m for a player with 1 year left on his contract. It will be similar as what they paid for Howson

Agree0 Disagree0

It will be 3.5 million if we are lucky.

Norwich City have made a fresh bid for Leeds winger Robert Snodgrass, Media understands.

The Canaries first tried to sign the Scotland international last summer, but their approaches were turned down by Leeds.

And despite a change of manager, with Chris Hughtonnow in charge at Carrow Road, their interest in Snodgrass has remained.

They have made a fresh bid for the 24-year-old, and Media understands Norwich have tabled two offers in the last week for the Scot.

With Paul Lambert, who is now at Aston Villa, among a host of confirmed admirers in the Premier League, Norwich will be hopeful they can strike a quick deal to land the in-demand Scot.

Snodgrass has just one year left on his current deal at Elland Road, having failed to agree a new contract with the West Yorkshire outfit. {Ed045's Note -

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Let's get him sold and let Warnock do his business with the money. He's a good player when he's fit and when he can be bothered, but he's never Premiership class. Sell him and sell him quick.

Agree0 Disagree0

I seriously hope this doesn't happen, although it won't surprise me if it did. I would have thought Snodgrass could see by now the intentions of Leeds United - but having said that there is still nothing 100% in place regarding a takeover, and we do seem to be getting held up on purchases when you would think the money was available.

Think this will cause a major ruction if it happens and could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Surely if there is a takeover in place the new owners would never sanction this sale?

Warnock has said he wouldn't let Snoddy go, lets see how strong his resolve - on the other hand if Snodgrass wants out best to make some money while we can as long as it's not the usual pittance we let decent players go for.

I personally think Snodgrass is worth more to Leeds than money in the bank though, premiership parachute payments considered?

Agree0 Disagree0

Snoddy is great, good eye for goal and class but is slow and seems a bit formy when not on good form very average and out of the game, would seel him for anything over 2 mill and want about 3.5m providing it goes to players wages and buying players and not just the next grounds carpet and curtains

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's think about this for a moment. Main type of player associated with LUFC is midfield/striker. Why then would we need Snoddy? Rumour is that Austin is coming who I can assure you is a good replacement. Take the money and let him play in the Championship next year with the Canaries if he wants to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Austin is a CAM and a CDM, haven't heard anything about him on the wings. Now we should of gone for Ambrose if this was in the pipeline.

Agree0 Disagree0

Youll still be in the championship next season but norwich wont .we have a forward looking board who spend money on players .not like your tightfisted chairman who cant refuse selling

Agree0 Disagree0

Norwich poster keep up with the times, bates is nearly out and we will be back in the prem very soon, you've had ur bit of fun now its time to go home to the championship ,where you belong

Agree0 Disagree0

How many years have leeds had in prem ? how many have norwich had ?

Agree0 Disagree0

How many years have you been in the championship and how many times have you beaten us lately.but we will still take your best players. one things for sure if we do go down this season we will be debt free not like yourselves cant refuse the money youve become a selling club no ambition look at who youve signed

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find norwich have spent more years in the prem than leeds ! founder members.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find Leeds were also a founder member of the Premier League (defending Champions at the time). Also let's count the years Norwich have been in the prem:

92/93, 93/94, 94/95 (relegated)! 04/05 (relegated), 11/12 (5 years combined)

Let's look at Leeds':

92/93, 93/94, 94/95, 95/96, 96/97, 97/98, 98/99, 99/00, 00/01, 01/02, 02/03, 03/04 (relegated) 12 years.

Case rested!

Dazz

Agree0 Disagree0

You are living in the past those days are long gone.how many times have you failed to make the top flight in the past 6 yrs not very good is dazz {Ed013's Note - I will settle this. At present Norwich are the better team as they are in a higher league, however, Leeds are a bigger team with a bigger history and a bigger fan base. You can't argue with history. Norwich can enjoy their time in the Prem as they have earn't it and proved that with the right set up and money spent wisely that it is possible to do well in the Prem. Norwich have a good fan base, but Leeds will be back and won't make the same mistakes again}

"its official Snodgrass has demanded a transfer request"

So where is the proof of this then?

Nothing on the OS anywhere?

Just more speculation?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's demanded a transfer request? What exactly does that mean? Has he demanded a transfer, put in a request or a strange unbelievable amalgam of both. You're so full of carp!!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he goes he is still more likely to go to Villa as he has worked with Lambert at Livingston

Having to play with the pile of crap we put on the field at the end of last season I'm not surprised....

Snoddy has shown his consistency - overall - and I still se NO requsts from him whatsoever.

Hopefully he is biding his time, like we should be, to see what the start of the season brings, rather than jumping every time there's a slight bit of speculation about someone putting a bid in for someone....

... unless it's Paynter, of course - now that I would like to see.....

Im an expat Based in Bahrain ,I have Just heard the due diliegence process ended last week for the purchase of leeds united and the investors are reluctant to to move fwd, the deal is on the verge on callapsing, as Buyer can not get all parties in the consortium to move fwd. buying the ground back and training ground is proving difficult as a reasonable price. Investors are looking at other options

Believable23 Unbelievable23

Sounds about rite, this whole process has been as dodgy as ken bates.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just who's ar*e are you talking out of?
Because this is a load of sh**e.
Even if you were based in Bahrain, which I doubt you are, probably some 2 up 2 down in Manchester, how would you know such things?
JB
P.S. Sorry for saying Manchester twice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haven't you got anything else to do apart from winding people up. You have no basis for saying this, in this sort of deal you they would have agreed a heads of agreement outlining the sale, the due diligence takes place after the commercial agreement is in place to check everything is as it should be. These things take time. Everything is fine and on track.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds about right....sounds as fishy as captain birdeyes pants...i am an expat based in bahrain...so that makes you an expert in the dealings of leeds and makes you have knowledge that no other person or media person has? probably a little fat kid in huddesfield winding us up...wait and i just bit...damn it

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds credible enough I suppose but aren't both ER and TA available at a fixed buy back price with the club having the only purchase option? I'm sure the Yorkshire Consortium negotiated a fixed price if bought back within a certain time limit at the time they were sold on. If so then the investors would have known the buy back price before commencing the whole process. On this basis I do hope you're wrong...

Agree0 Disagree0

I told everyone this a week ago and was shouted down with insults. I said we would sell Snods to solve the issue so we can buy back TA and ER. Oh look now a story breaks about Snods going to Norwich. Hmm. I wonder who was right. Watch Villa come in for him too and a bidding war starts. We should get close to 6M for him. Then we'll rename ER Snodgrass Road and the takeover will happen following day. No-one wants to buy Bates' murky funky offshore companies with nominee directors which truly own ER and TA. They want to buy the clean entity of LUFC and that means LUFC owning ER and TA.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just calm down!

We HAVEN'T sold Snodgrass, and as far as I'm aware he isn't even listed as available (not that it would prevent this happening!)

Lets just stop biting at every little bit of speculation, hard as it is, I know.

But I can understand any interested party in wanting to buy Leeds 'Lock, stock and both barrels' (sorry Vinny - lol!)

Agree0 Disagree0

The deal is all done, who do you think is funding the purchases of players now?

Agree0 Disagree0

I am very hard pushed to call someone a liar, but you sir are a liar, i have searched all english language newspapers for bahrain going back several weeks and guess what nothing...unless you provide proof of source, go cause trouble elsewhere. M.O.T

Agree0 Disagree0

ER and TA are on fixed buy back terms which will be the same regardless of owner and anybody with a serious interest in buying these assets back will have been fully aware of these costs at the outset.

Furthermore the purchase of these is not a pre requisite to the purchase of the club - they can happen at any time within the Lease period of these assets at the pre determined costs.

The main problem with both ER and TA deals are that the buyback costs, as written into the leases, do not offer good value for money in the current economic climate as their current valuations will be significantly less than their buy back values.

Leeds United agreed to Due Diligence on the football club. There would have to be separate Due Diligence process undertaken for both ER and TA with their owners.

Before you try to wind people up please make sure you understand what you are writing and you have a comprehension of the processes involved.

Agree0 Disagree0

I work in Dubai in an investment company, and we are hearing the same thing, deal is dead. and now its official warnock has to offload snodgrass to get funds for other transfers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I work in the City and dead deal is what I've heard as well. Original poster says it how it is - sounds as if half the original consortium got cold feet.

Agree0 Disagree0

How have you'se heard this and
knowone else has and even if you did work for a investment company, you still wouldn't know what time it is. Knowbody knows anything because and are you listening with bothe ears. CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE, HELLO!!
Nothing has come out on this takeover yet thats how much people all of a sudden know. JACK SH+T!!
mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

I work for a solicitors and we have heard exactly the same thing. Problems with ownership of the ground is the sticking point. I understand a statement will be made on Friday confirming that they have pulled out of the process

Agree0 Disagree0

The confidenitality clause is no longer in place if the deal is off. Due dilligence doesnt mean the deal is done, it means they have to like what they see before the deal is done. and may i remind those who are rubbishing the rumours ! this is a rumour site ! if it was certaing it would be on the news . believe it or do not , i think its very ligite. a people who work in the finacial industry will hear about this knid of stuff earlier as they manage portfolios of the super rich.

Agree0 Disagree0

The chances of someone who visits a rumour site being based in bahrain are slim. stop making up a load of bull**** for no reason.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

I work in Dubai/I work in the city/I am an expat in Bahrain... all the same poster just trying to add credibility to his bulls*** rumour. On this site we want a credible source otherwise it is just regarded as utter s***e. You have a credible source? No. Therefore your rumour=utter s***e.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am gonna end up working the Olympics and live a in a disused factory because G4S are worse than Bates at keeping promises............

But I have not heard the deal is dead

The league maybe s**t but one thing for sure is he will be joining a much bigger team with a chance of playing in Europe. Won't get that at Leeds will he.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah and Shamrock Rovers are in the Champions League, does that make them bigger than Spurs or Liverpool? Celtic are the only team to be knocked out of the Champions League and the Europa League x 2 in one season. The Spl will be rotting over the next few years and their league ranking will fall. Austin seems a done deal according to sources in SK Brann. Brann seems keen to take back Huseklepp from Portsmouth using the money from the Austin deal. He's twice the palayer Austin is. Do not understand why we are not linked with him, sinceee we seem to be interested in all their other players.

Sky sports news, reported about a hour ago. That Leeds are in talks with Brighton over a swap deal for Maccormack to go to them and meckail-smith to come to us. I feel this would be a good move by Warnock because Maccormack scored hardly any goals in his first season, so is not garanteed to get the same tally this year. Meckail-smith is very quick and runs for the team off the ball. Please don't tell me Maccormack does, as i would like to know which games you seen this.
mot4life

Believable11 Unbelievable7

A mate of mine rian has been mentioning mackail smith to me for a number of years now he would be a great signing if true in warnock we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

It's all well and good him putting in more work, but being from Brighton I have spoken to plenty of my friends who seem to think he under achieved, his ratio of 1 goal every 5 games is no where near good enough in comparison to McCormack's 1 in every 3.3 games since joining, we need a goal scorer alongside Becchio not a poor mans Becchio alongside the real deal himself, however if Mackail-Smith can find his Peterborough form them by all means we are on to a winner! MOT SussexLeeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want him mccormack is a better all round player . too expensive maybe offer 1.5 mill and feel ripped off at that ,

Agree0 Disagree0

In The Championships that is for us and Cardiff McCormack's strike rate is 1 goal every 3.08 games

Craig Mackail-Smith has played 88 games in The Championship for Peterborough and Brighton scoring 19 goals which is a strike rate of 1 goal every 4.63 games

The figures speak for themselves

Lloyd Sam was among the triallists who today turned up for Pompey’s 10-day training camp.

The former Leeds and Charlton winger joined Izale Mcleod, Simon Gillett and Brian Howard on the flight from Gatwick.

Moustapha Dumbuya, Jon Harley and Simon Eastwood – who have spent the past week at the Blues – were also present.

The triallists made up a squad heavy on youth, with the majority of the development squad present.

I'm a lifelong Leeds and SK Brann (Norway) fan. Rudolph Austin said after yesterdays game on Norwgian TV that it was a nice way to round thing off in Bergen after scoring an excellent goal from 25 yards in Brann's 6-2 win. Austin was named the best player in the Norwegian Tippeliga last year and is a powerful midfielder who also can get goals. He has definitely the ability to succeed at Leeds. A hard worker and an excellent tackler. At 27 he should be at the top of his game the following season.

The fee is believed to be in the region 250' £ as his contract expires 31.12.2012. SK Brann bought the Jamaican international for 1 M £ in 2009.

Regarding team-mate Kim Ojo from Nigeria there have been no rumours in the Norwegian media that there is an offer on the table for the forward. He is more an "on-and-off" player. At his best he is wonderful, at his worst he is a disgrace. He is still young thou and might be an interesting prospect in the long run.
