faurlin to sign in january for a fee believed to be around 1.5-2.5 million

He's playing regularly for QRP now under Redknapp, why would he jump down a division?
Agree2

2.5 is well of the mark buddy. he dnt play well for qpr so no way will we buy him.
Agree0
Disagree0
He's only played once in Harry's four games in charge. Get your facts right
Agree1

If you'd been paying attention to what Warnock has been saying you would know that he is after 1 quality striker and extended deals for the 4 loan players
Agree0
Disagree0
Warnock has publicly stated in the past that Faurlin is one of the best , if not the best players he has ever worked with
Agree0
Disagree0
'Warnock has publicly stated in the past that Faurlin is one of the best , if not the best players he has ever worked with'...maybe so but as the previous poster stated we are only looking to tie up the loan players and sign 1 additional striker, as Faurlin isn't a striker we wont be signing him!
Agree0
Disagree0
Just because Warnock said he's only looking to tie up the loan players, doesn't mean he won't go for anyone else. Why would he make it public to everyone that he might make a move for a player. Warnock will be keeping his cards close to his chest. It all depends what kind of budget the new owners have made available. Warnock & the owners won't want tip their hand. I reckon he will look to tie up the loanees, then if someone becomes available that he REALLY fancies he'll go for them. Faurlin would be someone he'd be interested in if he became available without doubt.
Agree0
Disagree0
Warnock is not going to state in the press his full intentions. I am sure we are gonna get a surprise or two pop up if we are serious about promotion
Agree0
Disagree0
Wow the amount of unbelievables for this rumour..
the first comment is nothing short of personic obviously not a football fan
there is no reason why warnock would not buy this lad he already said hes the best player hes worked with
i know he said hes in to tie up the loan players and a forward but how does that mean he wont sign other players....persons
i could see this happening
Agree0
Disagree0
Never will this happen. qpr need there best players n hes 1 of there very best so no way will they let him go lol some of you ppl speak out of your arse lol
Agree0
Disagree0
'i know he said hes in to tie up the loan players and a forward but how does that mean he wont sign other players....persons' How does saying we're only going to sign the loan players plus a striker NOT mean that he wont sign other players?

apparently ashdown struggling with a injury . my opinion is bulls**t . just wants paddy to play even though ashdown as played the rest of the games

Unbelievable52
Hope he does play kenny

Rubbish, paddy has always been a better gk than ashdown so there is no problem.
Agree0

Why would he lie about ashdown being injured, hes played well in every cup game and deserves a game.
Agree2

Diffrent oposition and now were in 1/4 might aswell go for it kenny been playing well and we need a consistent team

IMO a no brainer it has to be Paddy Kenny.

I wouldn't have a problem if Ashdown played for the rest of the season. Top keeper.

If he wants to play Paddy, he will, he does not need to make excuses!
Agree0
Disagree0
Paddy is obviously alot better than ashdown so obviously warnock will always pick him ahead of ashdown, really stupid post
Agree0
Disagree0
To original poster, if you actually payed attention to Leeds a little closer and went to the occasional league game you'll of seen that Paddy Ashdown was named on bench on sat, but didn't warm up with any of the team. He didn't even come out of the changing rooms!
Agree0

Read this quicky and sounds like Paddy Ashdown will be in goals against Chelsea tonight..
DW
Agree0

The original post makes no sense at all! The only person likely to be upset by Kenny playing would be Ashdown himself...I don't think he's trying to convince Ashdown that he's injured when he isn't!?

i have heard through the grape vine that warnock is interested in fazier campell for 500k but sunderland want 1.5 million also heard john stead is a option also.
think campell would be great for us what are your thought ED's {Ed013's Note - Worth a punt, but not at 1.5 million}

I'd like to see Frazier Campbell at Leeds, he's young, and don't forget he scored quite a few for Hull when they got promoted to the Premier League a few years ago. He did score against Man Utd on the Wknd so I'm not sure if O'Neill is willing to sell. Unless he wants to raise funds for a new striker. 1mill max for Campbell, no more than that.
Agree0
Disagree0
Personally mate I agree I think he would be great for us. I hope its true. But I doo think he's worth more than 500 thousand I think 1 million would buy him . Mot

Hardly setting the world alight now though. Need someone who is consistent!
Agree0

Would be a great signing but if Hull City are still keen i think he will choose them over us especially with the Bruce link. Hope im wrong though.
MOT!

Warnock always rated Stead and nearly signed him when at Sheffield. Hope I'm wrong but wouldn't be surprised if its Stead he's after.
Agree0

In a popular red-top, a figure of 7m is being quoted.
Agree0

I think Campbell would choose us over Hull. His Dad is (or was) his agent and persuaded him to leave Hull for Sunderland, apparently he does get on well with Steve Bruce though so maybe that could swing it for them. Decent player and still young so could turn out to be just the striker we need especially if Becchio goes. One million tops though. Interesting times ahead for Leeds, I really do think we could be in the mix at the end of the season along with Leicester, Boro, Palace and maybe Hull
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm going to get completely shot down for this but; I'd rather we went up at the end of next season and appointed a new manager, now.
Warnock hasn't had a particularly good record with us so far and his signings have been only about 30% successful.
Would rather see someone else installed before January to spend the funds well and then given another season to get the team sorted.
Warnock's one-dimensional direct plan doesn't cut it any more. Times have changed. This isn't about last night's result, it's about the performances of the season so far, the future of the team/club and keeping the enthusiasm of the new owners.
I we are lucky enough to go up this season, next season will be long and hard and ultimately very disappointing. This team isn't strong enough for the championship, let alone a season in the Prem... far too much dross

Leeds United keen on Bebe deal
11:00 AM 17 December, 2012
Leeds United are set to make a loan move for Bebe.
The Portuguese forward joined Manchester United in a shock £6.8million deal in the summer of 2010, but he has failed to make an impression at Old Trafford.
Bebe, who made three appearances whilst on loan at Besiktas last season, has only played twice in the Premier League for the Reds, and hasn't featured this term.
Sir Alex Ferguson would have no qualms in letting him leave on loan when the window reopens, and Fans FC understand Leeds have added the 22-year-old to their list of potential targets.
We do need to get another striker in without a shadow of doubt, Whites manager Neil Warnock told Yorkshire Radio. We need to get another good striker in.
Believable11
Unbelievable8
I always thought that Alex Ferguson just always flatly refused to loan any players to us? I heard that he refused to let Tomasz Kuszczak come to us last year just simply because it was us.
This Bebe must've had potential if Ferguson shelled out 7m for him, but do we really want someone who has hardly featured in 18 months? I'm sure opinion will be divided but that's half the fun of this site! - JamesC

Would prefer loan with a view to buying Bébé. Fed up of the attitude of Leeds fans who blindly scream their loathing of anything from the red side of Manchester.
Keep the rivalry on the pitch and the terraces. The dressing room and from where it's populated doesn't matter a bit.

ok now on TV that warnock wants to tie down the loan stars.he wants to bring in tonge and tate permently and loan thomas for the remainder of the season and on top of that he only wants to bring in a striker to give becchio competition. ANT MOT

Thats not good enough IMO. Think we need at least another LB and another pacey winger on top of that.
Agree0

I find it so funny that people believe that Warnock only wants to bring in 1 player in january. We have a mid table squad and 1 player isnt going to change that. Id be supprised if we dont sign 5-6 players not including the current loan players. MOT

Just reading michael tongue is one of the players warnock is trying to secure on a permenant basis. For me he has done an ok job while on loan.
But think it is a bad move trying to sign him. He is not good enough for a first team place. Not mobile or physical enough for centre midfield.
Think we could get better.

He was the worst player on the field at Derby !!

Whilst I agree that Tonge isn't exactly a superstar, since he's been with us he has always put in 100%, has bags of experience and really looks like he wants to play for our shirt.
We also have to be realistic, we're not going to get Faurlin. He starts for QPR in the PL, whilst we're still currently mid- table in the Championship. Getting Tonge on a permanant basis (if the price is right) would be a good move in my opinion. - JamesC

But tonge has played well all season!
Agree0

Question, have you been to any of the games and watched him? He's exactly what we need for the second half of the season.
Agree0
Disagree0
If you think we should sign tonge your deluded, one of the worst players off the ball i have seen a leeds! no pace, need someone mobile in there, love to see howson back in there, cant see it happening but never know!
Agree0
Disagree0
I agree I think we could do better. He goes missing too much for me and has more off days than good days. Lets face it once signed permanently we will be stuck with yet another player that regularly underperforms eating up wages and not getting any younger. Sorry but just want us to do better.
Agree0
Disagree0
Tonge is nothing spectacular, but he is a grafter, gives 100% and isnt afraid to have a crack at goal either. Would be a great addition for 2nd half of season and make a decent PL squad player if we did go up.
Agree0
Disagree0
Bottom line is he's been our best central midfielder. He's actually someone who can play football & he uses the ball well. If he doesn't play we never get on the ball because our other midfielders are ineffective players that just run around & do nothing. Would be a good addition for me.
Agree0
Disagree0
Ive been to all home and away matches and cant fault him, he does an average job, because he is an average player
what was you expecting?
Agree0
Disagree0
To the comment about Derby performance, he was by far the best on the pitch against Hudders! When played in his actual position of CM instead of on the left he has been very good. He might not be a fashionable name but thats not what we need.
